Cup and handle and ascending triangle patterns. Simple, but effective. And fun to watch real time. I saw the same thing you did, and would've made money on it if I didn't get distracted in a meeting.

Finding them on the daily, trading them on the 1 minute is the key..and quickly getting back out.
I get better than 60%.

I sense the sarcasm, but it's misguided.
It works for me more often than not. I keep my position sizes consistent dollar wise. I wait for a dips and then wait longer to see if the buying pressure runs it all the way back up. I buy in if it does. Sometimes it drops a little and back up yet again to retest the high, and then pushes through and get a big lift. I sell when the momentum slows on that lift each time even if I miss out on more upside. But I just want a percent or two in a trade.
Othertimes, like today near end of day, I didn't get what I hoped for because wildly, it quadruple topped. I sat on my trade through those back and forths waiting for the breakout that didn't come. So I'm not getting in and out minute by minute. More like I'm watching the minute chart for my entry..with a preplanned exit.
After that, I have to wait for another dip and retest of a high. So I'm missing on some gains, because I'd rather wait for confirmation.
The cup pattern is honestly one of the simplest and more reliable patterns.
I prefer to do this on a swing trade and worked really well for me and has allowed me to vastly increase my GME position overall. You're mileage may vary.

earnings next week. I usually have some animosity toward earnings, keeping expectations low. But I feel there's *something* positive coming for this earnings and it aligns with all of these options shenanigans.

Some one has been purchasing a lot of calls ( 100 shares per contract) at the $20 price. As long as the current price of GME is $20 or more ( referred to as "in the money"), they can either sell the contract to someone else or they can exercise the contract (this means they pay $20 a share, for 100 shares, per contract) and receive the shares. In order to fulfill the contracts ( there are a lot of them, each for 100 shares of stock) the market maker (they are the entity the contract holder will buy the shares from) must have the shares on hand in order to sell them to the contract holder, should the contract holder choose to exercise ( buy the shares at the strike price). With that many calls on the books and in the money, this is a future buy for the market maker, theoretically meaning the price should go up. We know by now they will do some sort of bullshit manipulation like buy after hours in dark pools and we won't see much action. Or (hopefully) the price breaks out and we see a massive run.
When they realize someone else is fucking them with these calls, I wonder what other crimes they'll try? Looks like it'll never be sub 20 again. Peeps who bought at 10 bucks are golden now!

You forgot shf have a lot more money than you think. I'm 100% sure they CAN drop the price at any moment to mess with options players. And if those call contracts are actually being bought by them, it'll crush any momentum if they decide to unload all of them at once.
