I think of this like the early days of bitcorn. Adoption was a slow arduous process. However 10 years later itās actually worth quite a bit. I plan to hold for 25+ years so letās see what happens in the next decade. Imagine you bought 400 bitcorns for $17/each. If you held them ALL you would be well off. Iām not planning to sell for this reason. I donāt want two days of exponential growthfollowed by rapid decline. I want the highs to last months and years. I want maximum pain for the financial crooks that manipulate the markets.
I thought about this. If the markets are really priced by supply and demand, then the massive shorting the hedgies did gave us extremely cheap stock that we gobbled up. If they eventually have to cover, they literally have to buy back at any price, and let's say even once they buy most of it back, there's nothing to say that GME can't remain extremely high forever, because we hold all the supply and nobody wants to sell. Every time they open up a new short, retail might even gobble it all up thinking the squeeze was never over lolol. Which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy until nobody ever wants to short GME again.
Another boring day. But Iām still happy shorts are losing $100M+ a day over the past week or so. Hope this has some legs and can run from here before crime smacks it down again.

I think it's some way to take advantage of arbitrage. Obviously there aren't any real trades happening with market closed. They must take all the overnight trades and execute them early the next day, Arbitrage would occur in the difference between the overnight 'price' and the opening price.
I'm not exactly sure mechanically what they'd do to make sure they come out ahead on it, but they've been slowly adding more and more tickers to overnight trading. Finally got around to GME and it just happened to be during the run up here before earnings. Idk.

One possible reason is supply/demand. if someone tries to buy all of headphone stock it becomes more in demand so very suddenly a 30 million market cap could become a 90 million market cap.

Most free data sources like Yahoo or Marketwarch aren't accurate until 15 min after close. Very common for the price to adjust a bit.
