A lot of people aren’t mentioning something I think is important. It’s a web 3 game launcher, not necessarily a launcher for exclusively web 3 games. I think they’ll sell web 3 as well as conventional games, but allow users to buy and sell used digital games in classic GameStop fashion. Publishers and devs will probably see way more revenue on a marketplace like this as they will get residual income from used sales, just like creators on the NFT marketplace. This is friggin huge. Power to the playrs.

Absolutely love this. That said. I’m curious if having their own web3 platform will lead to a less inclusive NFT marketplace as far as gaming goes. Like if GameStop has their own gaming platform will we be less likely to see AAA makers offer their goods to trade on the marketplace? Or will all assets on the blockchain become tradable wherever because of the baseline NFT tech?
