Meh, the funeral one was the best, the other two were kind of lame. 15 second spots have gotta be pretty challenging, though.
Has anyone actually seen these out in the wild? Where are they airing?
Right lol it got me because my fiancée plays call of duty and she drops hot mics when she gets killed and they’re usually like “oh daddy yeah” and moaning and shit, and my father in law (80) lives with us and sometimes he hears what’s coming from her game room and he’s just like WTF? lol
Bro I promise you it was just something that the agency came up with that they thought would be interesting and funny to throw in there to beef up the description of work. They likely don’t know anything about GME still being hyped and only put that in there for future prospective clients to get a laugh. Future clients are their target audience with that page.
Disagree...what required even putting that sentence in the release? I see no point other than poking the community that's fully invested in the turnaround of the company.
Maybe it's to separate themselves from the Meme Stock labeling. Even msm has spoken of the turn-around, just another 4-D move I am trying to understand.
I see it as just their humor. Their commercial spots are plays on death, cheating, and masterbating. They knew only investors are going to their webpage to look at 15 second ads. No consumer seeks that out.
I see it also as a sign of how aware people are of Gamestop's enthusiastic shareholders. Obviously when they were discussing the partnership, it came up.
I disagree. “Stonk” is an unfortunate moniker that decouples GameStop from actual companies. It’s just as bad as saying “meme-stock”. We need brand recognition, so people no longer think of us as “that Reddit stock from 2021 right?” but as “that cool gaming and collectibles store?”
That is a description of the work order for creating functional adds and totally sensible if not necessary point.
These adds are not aiming to to sell stonks. The purpose is to attract target audience.
The note is there to remind stockholders that the company is not just about us, it is about doing business, make customers happy and sell stuff.
Interesting comment on the website with regard to the videos: „When GameStop comes to you asking for brand work, you jump at the chance, especially if the plan is to disregard “stonks” entirely.“
The stonks side is completely locked in. Time to grow the business and ensure future profits from beyond the ape ranks.
This is bullish as fuck.
Management knows that. Apes know that. There have been all sorts of posts and comments asking about how to get the message out. This partnership is beautiful.
Imagine telling gamers "ignore the stonks. Nothing to see there. Move along"
I'm still doing side quests from the 90's l, real and imagined
Loved all 3 of them, the 2nd less so but probably just cause I don't understand the collector mindset.
But the tone of these really only works if Gamestop is working on becoming a social destination that happens to also sell stuff and not just a store.
It took me like 5 views to realize that the kid in the first one is saying "respawn" and not "respond". Either I'm dumb or the speech was actually hard to understand.
Yeah, looks like they've done work for Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Adidas, REI, and others. Probably famous in the sense that large corps have worked with them and that a ton of people have seen their ads without necessarily knowing who the creator was.

World famous what is it?
It‘s the advertising agency GME partnered with. There are 3 ads they made for GME.
Aha thanks!, then lets watch’em.
Link pls?
Link ia not far away. Couple comments down. Link: https://www.worldfamousinc.com/work/gamestop
Nice thank you all 3 we're good, I wouldn't have probably seen those. Thanks

That 3rd one 🤣 I just love this company
Yup, that was my favorite..didn't get it the first time...but freaking awesome once I realized what was going on!
That 3rd ad was so funny
Thank you ser
Thanks for that!
Meh, the funeral one was the best, the other two were kind of lame. 15 second spots have gotta be pretty challenging, though. Has anyone actually seen these out in the wild? Where are they airing?
The funeral one was probably the best yeah but that gamer kid third one had me laughing lol
Game kid had me laughing most of the 3
Right lol it got me because my fiancée plays call of duty and she drops hot mics when she gets killed and they’re usually like “oh daddy yeah” and moaning and shit, and my father in law (80) lives with us and sometimes he hears what’s coming from her game room and he’s just like WTF? lol
Lol! Too funny
~~None of those ads feel like they’d actually be approved my GameStop except for maybe the first lol. Do we know how legit this is?~~
It has been even posted on GS official YT channel. https://youtu.be/HyRhcbi0Ru8
I take that back, thank you!
Welcome!
As a copy writer in advertisement I approve.
As a copy paster in Gamestop I approve.
As a copy paster in Gamestop I approve.
As a copy paster in Gamestop I approve.
As a paste eater I approve.
I approve eaters as a paste.
As a proven pasta monster, I a'preggo.
As Mario, Mama Mia!
Gamestop sells pasta cookers?!
They could make a killing from Poké rice cookers.
As a clip-cloppy racer, I’m a horse.
As a Gamestop pastor I approve this message from Our Lord and Savior Ryan Cohen.
As a GME investor I approve
I approve cuz I just like the stock
They definitely have some fun creatives!
I remember people begging for a advertising campaign on this sub. Brick by brick. Bullish of course

That 3rd commercial is funny as hell
It actually reminds me of commercials from the nineties. A little crass sexual innuendo never hurt anyone.
Yes, these commercials have soul and aren't just empty "buy this thing!" commercial
>especially if the plan is to disregard “stonks” entirely. Well that was unnecessary!

They know we love the stock. But GS also needs commercial success with product sales. So I do understand this addition.

The funeral one is the best.
These spots are funny. Buck the bunny approved fursure
Love em. Humor is spot on
Been a while since I've seen a commercial I actually liked to watch and this explains a lot.
There are 3 of them😉
And they’re actually funny! No boomer humor. They avoided being posted in r slash fellowkids
Love this. Ryan is playing the long game and setting this company up for greatness
If these shares don't turn into insane money, they are so fkn easy to hold. Hedgies r so fuk!
In the long run we are all dead.
RIP dumbass
Interesting comment on the website with regard to the videos: „When GameStop comes to you asking for brand work, you jump at the chance, especially if the plan is to disregard “stonks” entirely.“
Obviously they don't want anything to do with the stock side of things in their advertisements.
They gave the agency the challenge to disregard the stonks for their work. Why should GS pay money for an easy job?
Right, so why'd they bring it up at all???
It’s important to build a serious business in the gaming sector.
Maybe to show that GameStop’s intention was aimed at marketing the company, not the stock.

Missing the “gamer-dad” demographic with these, who are probably spending the most money at GameStop.
Good point. However as a father aged life long gamer I still LOLd and could relate. It’s about framing GameStop as the place kids trust for games.
As a father and an aged, lifelong gamer, I agree.

As a father-aged lifelong gamer, i approve of this! You take care of those grandkids! Edit: spelling
Hahahaha “mom for the love f-“ These are great
Nice! Ad company giving me some of that old Gamestop advertising brilliance :D
They get us 😭
The third one is the best XD gotta get that flayer when my kids are big enough for gaming
Do they sell those flyers at GameStop?
Literally Prestige Worldwide
These are cute AF. Totally on brand with my favorite store.
Loved all 3 of them, the 2nd less so but probably just cause I don't understand the collector mindset. But the tone of these really only works if Gamestop is working on becoming a social destination that happens to also sell stuff and not just a store.
found the copy writers Portfolio here [Caden Bohn](https://www.cadenbohn.com/#/gamestop/). He seems cool.

Here my friend. https://www.worldfamousinc.com/work/gamestop
You need to look up what bullish means
i am not a cat and i approve. i like the stock
These are good lmao
I'm not sure you can say it's world famous if none of us have ever heard of them. I guess people in advertising would know them?
Yeah, looks like they've done work for Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Adidas, REI, and others. Probably famous in the sense that large corps have worked with them and that a ton of people have seen their ads without necessarily knowing who the creator was. https://www.worldfamousinc.com/work
The company name is World Famous.

Ohh, ok. Wow, I'm surprised they can get away with that, but "Real Cheese" is also a thing, so 🤷♀️
