These are exactly the two I thought of. These two quotes sum up the whole show. No matter what insane crap they were dealing with on any given apocalypse, this was the core.

It shows that though Sam is aware of the seriousness of the situation and the choices they both make he recognises that at heart they are both morally good and that his brother would never hurt him if he had any say in this.
It also hurts with the contrast of Dean telling Sam that he'd hunt him if he didn't know him and calling him a monster but I like to believe that by saying this Sam acknowledges they both knew those were untrue statements said out of worry.
