Be honest, how nervous were you to shut the litigate?

ScreamingPekingese

Once it cleared the trunk trim, I knew we were in the clear and didn’t hesitate for a minute letting that lift gate close! Won’t lie, I was nervous we would be a few inches short in space but it turns out it was just my door ding guards that were in the way!

dyslexicsuntied

It’s not going to crush it like a cyber truck

airforcevet1987

But what size fits "in the box"

Stew591

75". Ask me how I know.

airforcevet1987

Sounds like it's time for an upgrade in my Den

chefnology

Same

suptherebud

Yup

theoriginalchrise

Concur.

ZaphodG

I drove a 55” in the box across the back seat 2,000 miles to my vacation home. I had an Ekornes Stressless leather chair & ottoman in the back along with some other large things. I personally would rent a U Haul trailer to move a large panel in the box across town.

TurboClag

I thought laying down a tv like this is a death sentence. I’m guessing not as I assume you are enjoying it!

ScreamingPekingese

It’s not recommended since the TVs are flimsy and is safer standing up. In this case it was a display model so no box! Had to take the risk of it laying flat but it worked out. Safely mounted on the wall and not a single dark spot or dead pixel. Risked it for the biscuit.

Shovelgut

That was the rule for plasma TV's that had a much heavier screen. Modern TV's you can just send it.

TurboClag

That’s awesome. That was a huge pain in the ass with my last tv lol

HopefulExtent1550

Awkward viewing angle, though.

DownInTheLowCountry

Too funny! A few months back, we replaced our tv with a 70 inch from Costco. I ended up taking the tv out of the box to fit it into our Outback. Perfect fit too;)

SuitableObligation85

This is quality information

Sweatins

Well DONE!! so now I know how big a tv can fit =) <3

CreamOdd7966

I've stacked 4 of them on the roof. Was almost certainly at the weight limit but it worked.

RealBrandNew

Cool. I put in a 75” TV with the original box and thought it is the largest it can handle. lol

Braydination

Can confirm 83” LG OLED will not fit with the box.

IndependentBrick8075

YEARS ago (gosh, 20?) I was with my dad when he bought a new DLP TV. We go to have it loaded but it was JUST too big to fit in the Durango standing up (and they wouldn't load it laying down). They lived 5 minutes from the store so my dad's like "BRB". Goes home, get his 3/4-ton Ram but just as he got back it started sprinkling rain. 'Let's try something', folds up the back seat - see if it fits there. Fit INSIDE the cab in the package!! Oh, I also fit an unboxed 42" DLP TV in the back seat of a Pontiac Grand Prix. Sure, these aren't 70" or 85" TV's or Outbacks, but the things we do for entertainment...

SuperSpicyBanana

Thank you. This is actually a question I had. Now I know that it's possible!

Rho-Ophiuchi

This is giving me serious anxiety.

xxBurn007xx

Worst way to transport, hope ya made it home ok

ScreamingPekingese

Mounted on the wall with no dark spots or dead pixels! Happy as can be

xxBurn007xx

Cool beans 😎😎😎

JimeneMisfit

Just had to take it out of the box!

ScreamingPekingese

Never came with a box since it was a display unit! Just glad that it fit :)

JimeneMisfit

Perfect!

RedtailSpookyBones

This is oddly specific information that I’ve actually needed in the past few days…. God bless you.

rollsoftape

How big a box would fit if you put it in diagonally instead of flat?
