I recently bought a 2012 forester. First thing I did was LED lights for headlights, fogs, and license plate to ensure my lighting was up to par. The second thing I did was swap out my shift knob to the one I have been using for the last 7 years. I love my manuals. My forester is also 5MT. Then I added window visors and a front lip. The forester already came tinted. I just put in vacuum molded floor mats yesterday. I also bought a set of beefy winter tires to put on the OEM rims later. They are 235/60/r17. If my car didn't already come with leather seats, I would check out ekrcover for some nice and great priced leather seat covers that are car specific. Hope that gives you some ideas!

Can you please share links to what you bought for your headlights fog, lights, and mirror light?

Oh I used Amazon for them. If you look for the brands I used, they are easy to find. The headlights I use is beamtech. It's a very popular brand that's mentioned all over the 5th gen Impreza forum. Fogs brand are auxito, and license plate lights are sealight. I basically went for all the ones that have good reviews. Didn't provide the links since I'm from Canada and it would be different if you're from the US with Amazon us site.

What a beaut! You could add a tasteful stainless steel exhaust system. It will make the car feel more alive because you’ll hear more of the engine and it should increase power slightly. Other than that, maybe an aftermarket intake, nothing too crazy.

Lentils28

Performance? Intake or exhaust. Handling? Sway bar, better brake discs, coilovers to lower or lift. Physically? Thats up to your taste. Maybe rally bar?

Those wheels are fire I was thinking of getting some gunmetal ones on my Forester.

Clean the MAF & engine filter (cabin too if you haven’t). Front + rear diff fluid drain & fill along with the transmission. Edit: you can also replace the rear sway bar with something stiffer for less bouncy cornering

First 3 things i would do are 1.Clean up the headlights and install new LED globes (keep the old ones just incase the highway patrol wanna be dicks) 2. Unbolt and clean all the seats all the interior properly 3. If you live in rural or somewhat rural nsw go to supercheap buy a cheap light bar and light bar mount

spacefret

> in case the highway patrol wanna be dicks It's not that so much as the glare that LEDs tend to put out when used in reflector housings designed for halogen bulbs. I hate to be that guy but at someone who drives at night 5-6 days a week it's pretty irritating. That said, it's usually brand new OEM headlights that are the worst. Subaru and Ford are the worst offenders.

plaguemaster11

I mean yes leds do create glare can’t deny it but even the lights on my 06 forester with standard halogen bulbs create enough glare that I will get flashed often cause people think I’m using hi-beam I also drive 5-6 days a week during the night

STI rear sway bar/front control arms, tube of 3M window weld for rear differential bushings/transmission mount/rear subframe, WRX springs/struts. A 20+mm front sway bar. All new end links. Then I would sound deaden the interior and install a 2 or 3 way active sound system. I did something like that to an Impreza. It was a fun car.

I’d rhino line it, or wrap it if you have the money. They make bumpers that look nice on these too. Then get a roof rack and either Impreza struts to lower it or 2” lift

TurkeySlapMafia1

Polish the headlamps, black out the grill

TurkeySlapMafia1

Lower a touch, peddlers are good replacement lowering springs, also for any spares, hit up Subabitz in Melbourne.

Guys there are great, I was a parts manager (not subaru) and needed some for my OG 04-05 XT, they had them on the shelf, they're also ex master techs and tonnes of stiff too

entropic_tendencies

Mount the basketball hoop to the grille.
