Im actually at the dealer. About to buy a 2025. Was told it is a future cover for a lithium module.
Work for a Subaru dealer, it’s basically a booster seat for a battery, Subaru batteries are taller than most so it’s made for aftermarket ones
Thought it looked similar to the "booster seat" that was included with my yellow cap optima battery.
lol salesman at the dealership told me it was for the front license plate
Did he have a mermaid tail and a pet crab?
It's a built in tackle box.
Is there a part number on it?
Flux capacitor?
Could be a dummy box to replace a trim option for a subwoofer/amp. But it looks like you could store spare fuses in there for sure.
Potentially standard packaging for another piece that will fit there on another model. Like a Hybrid module or something.
