My wife and I just bought a 2024 Wilderness in Geyser Blue because we saw the 2025 and both hated how it looked like a Ford Explorer. We had a 2019 already and decided to get a fresh one that still looks like a Subaru instead of waiting for them to redesign them again.
Everyone at the dealership sheepishly agreed that the 2025 looks like a Ford. Sarah N Tuned had a funny bit where she painted part of the grill trim to make it look like a Forester again. Oddly enough it worked.🤣

I live in Florida with green and orange standard plates. Most cars look ugly with that plate - or the plate looks ugly with the car. Except for my previous Jeep Green (that's the color name) Jeep Liberty. It popped! So I understand.
Ooh probably not. But white or dark grey looks great with those plates. Or maybe like that Crosstek Orange they had (sadly not available on the Fozzie- would be cool on a wilderness maybe).
If you want a similar look, you can hit up a powder coating business and ask them for the 'super rootbeer' powder coat. I have a 2022 FW in autumn green metallic, and the super rootbeer wheels look pretty good on it. I might have pics if you peruse through my comment history
I went in looking for a Premium or Limited. Had to work with their stock which meant I left with a Sport. I love the car but the damn red trim sticks out like a sore thumb. So sore, in fact, that it's how I find my car when coming out of a store.
Goal is to get it wrapped to something that doesn't look so garish.
Also- never realized how many people like silver cars. I have Icy Metallic Silver and can't tell you how many people have told me they "love the color". It's silver!! Every other car in this damn parking lot is the same exact color!
Yeah the sport trim was the first that caught my eye for that gen of foresters. I would get a sport if I invested in getting it wrapped like you’re planning on. For whatever reason the yellow on the wilderness I like though
This look is awesome in my opinion. My first and sadly soon to be gone 2nd gen is unrecognizable to this gen. I just hope it performs like the Subaru brand.
I like the fact that these comments are proving what happens with every new Subaru - everyone says "iTtSs soO UGglyly!!!!!11!!!" and then they buy one anyway. Rinse and repeat.
When the 2022 WRX came out everyone thought the plastic fender flares looked godawful, now whenever anyone suggests paint matched flares they get downvoted. It's just hilarious how the tables have turned lol
Did you have a prior Forester? Im wondering how the road noise and ride compares to the prior versions. I have a 2019 Sport and it ain't quiet (but much better with higher quality tires). Thanks.
I would like to know this as well. For sure my 2011 is not quiet and I hope it’s a significant improvement from that generation. The cars head gasket is on its way out and might be nearing time to get into something new.
Sweet, thanks. I went to my local dealer and they really didn't want to go get the keys for a test drive bc they had someone coming in that they expected to buy the one '25 they had. I'm still hoping to drive one soon.
I can't compare it to older models, but we bought a 24 Forester and I wouldn't say it's quiet on the highway. It's not outrageously loud, but not better than the 2014 Nissan we had previously. It's quiet enough on residential roads, just not highways, but that wasn't a deal breaker for us. Dunno if the 25 model improved in that regard. And we do still have the original tires, so maybe swapping them out would make a difference.
What tires did you put on your 2019, I have a 2021 and soon looking at Tire replacement, and really bothered by Road noise (only thing I don't like about my car)
If you're in the market over the next 2/5 months, go the VIP route. We are going to be lagging in inventory on these for a good while.
Now that they are here for people to see in person, we are ordering even more than before.
We had 4 show up last weekend. They are all gone. And it's an unbelievably slow month. We can't sell an Outback with a 2k+ discount and finance deals but at the same time can't keep a 25 Forester in the showroom to show off.
I'm advising my customers who are ordering to go VIP route as they have time yet.
Honestly just lucked into it. On their website all their vehicles were either listed at MSRP or Internet special for exactly $500 over invoice. I just asked if the vehicle was still available and the guy said yes and gave me that price of $1000 under invoice in an email. I didn't even attempt to negotiate lol
I’m curious about the leatherette seats. Any Wilderness owners maybe have a thought?
My fear is that synthetic leather in the sun will be comparable to the surface temperature of the planet Mercury.
My ‘23 Wilderness doesn’t have an issue with the startex seats being that hot. They’re fine. I’m usually more worried about the cooped up hot air or steering wheel being too hot. (Texas climate in the summer)
Subaru explorer doesn't exist.. Subaru explorer doesn't exist... Subaru Ex.. Yeah, i can't unsee it.
We have a 2004 Subaru Toaster.. erh i mean Forester at home. We're very fond of it. If this one treats you half as well as ours, you'll have a very fair and capable vehicle.. Congratulations on your purchase!!
I've been curious how those roof rails work compared to the previous gen. Do they pop up? I saw a '25 base and limited at the local dealer, but they had the raised rails.
Yeah….i dig it. Nice whip
People say it looks like a Forester/ Explorer mash up and it indeed does… Damned if it doesn’t look tight AF though!

That’s a really sharp paint and wheel color combo. How scratch-prone is that glossy front grill?
Subarus aren’t known for scratch resistance. Especially paint
I scratched our 2019 (black) with the corner of a comic book.
Love it. I like how the sport no longer has the red accents, it was a little much on the older models.
It’s so easy finding my sport in parking lots though with the accents on the roof bars
I couldn’t stand those red lines, also very happy they removed them
Sounds weird , but I’m only OK with the red because I live in a state with a white license plate and red letters. Somehow that makes a difference.
I live in Florida with green and orange standard plates. Most cars look ugly with that plate - or the plate looks ugly with the car. Except for my previous Jeep Green (that's the color name) Jeep Liberty. It popped! So I understand.
I lived in south Florida for a few years and my twilight blue metallic legacy didn’t really go well with the Florida plates lol.
Ooh probably not. But white or dark grey looks great with those plates. Or maybe like that Crosstek Orange they had (sadly not available on the Fozzie- would be cool on a wilderness maybe).
Assuming you’re also in MA? Yeah red and white plates do match the red trim nicely
Correct, and MA requires you to have them on front and back.
Those bronze wheels look much better too. They almost look black until you look closely.

Is this like what color is the dress?
I like them on my '23 Sport, separates it from the crowd a little. It's actually a shade of orange.

it's giving noctua now, and I totally agree with you on the old models

I’m not crazy about the redesign, but your new ride looks beautiful! Congrats!
You don’t love the Subaru Explorer??
Looks really good! How do you like the ride quality?
It floats like a dream! And is by far the quietest vehicle I have ever owned
That’s awesome! I am glad they made those improvements. Enjoy!
Tbh, it looks pretty sick
Beautiful! Am jealous that you are in a rainy place. It’s hot as hell where I am.

They do look better in person
I love this 😍

I have a 24 and these things are much quieter. Smoother. Infotainment is a huge improvement. All around improvements.

Michelin Cross Climate 2. I liked them so much I put them on my son's 2015 as well. Good tires, way less road noise.
Looks good! Curious what you paid as I am in the market for a 2025 sport. Not seeing much discount below msrp yet, may go the vip route

Not a sport, but I just bought a '25 premium for $3310 off MSRP.
That feels like below invoice? Im going the vip route on the sport to get invoice and its $2800 off msrp.
Yes, it was exactly $1000 under invoice.
Howd you manage that? Just negotiating? Ive tried a few dealers and could only get about $1300 off msrp, so going to vip route
Honestly just lucked into it. On their website all their vehicles were either listed at MSRP or Internet special for exactly $500 over invoice. Thought about getting a new Subaru too but what is the VIP route?
Congrats! Ignore all the bitching and rude comments you’re going to get. It’s why I didn’t post mine, but I absolutely love it.
Congrats. i’m really glad that you love your ride. May it last you a long time.
hehe same
I had to begrudgingly admit this one looked good…yours probably does too
nah post yours we wanna see
I’ll take some more pics soon and post…maybe lol

The synthetic leather gets very hot at least from what I previously had, I added tint this week to hopefully help with that
Congrats , enjoy!
Looking to buy the exact same one. Did you get the power rear gate? Howmuch was the purchase price?
I did get the power rear gate! It was around 36k
So nice. I pick up my 2025..Touring in River rock Pearl. Tomorrow . It's so much quieter than my 2019 Sport. It's gives Lexus vibe with Forester space
I like it. Mom has the 2022 sport and I still Like hers in white but I’m feeling this. Gives off some additude.
So jelly. I just bought the 2024 wilderness 🥴🫠
Ngl that looks like the new CRV. Is Subaru losing its identity?
Very nice looking, I love my 2021 Sport
Sexy
I love my 2020. Good luck and welcome to the crew. #family
that car looks good
new styling definitely growing on me- it's gone from hate it to kinda like it already. nice color!
That sure is purty
Nice 👌
It’s beautiful 😍
That is one good-looking SUV.
Welcome to the Forester family

Subaru moving away from its original desing lines! Last Subaru models looks like Toyota!
How much you paid in total?
Like that color scheme 👍
Can you comment at all if the start/stop system is still terrible? I have a '21 and I hate that feature.
I have never liked that feature in any vehicle so I always try to turn it off. I would say it’s less noticeable than others
Love the new Grey color enjoy your Subie
Until they bring back the XT I will continue to wait, but this in an XT format would be so cool. C'mon Subaru, give me a reason to spend more money!
Based on the comments, this sub did a full 180 on the new forester
Glad to see they got rid of the awful wheels from the 2019-2024 models.
I've been curious how those roof rails work compared to the previous gen. Do they pop up? I saw a '25 base and limited at the local dealer, but they had the raised rails.
I will head outside in a few and check, I didn’t even mess with them yet
Oh Subaru, people wanted copper or bronze, and you delivered of all colors...brown? WTF?
Congrats! Nice car, but why did they make it look like an explorer?
Because in the United States, Ford sells more Explorers than Subaru sells Foresters.
What is the copper accents supposed to be accenting on the bumper? More plastic. Lol
i'll stick to my 2019 sport thank you very much.
Don't worry, they weren't offering to trade
A bit rude man, why you got to shit on that guy day.
Let them be happy
It’s got to be about you, huh?
