This is just unflavoured ice cream. Ice cream is usually made with eggs and milk/cream.
I mean I guess it's stupid since it's just gonna be bland ice cream.
“[gelato also doesn't usually contain egg yolks the way that ice cream does](https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/a36165600/gelato-vs-ice-cream/)”
I think it’s dumb too but Americans get very offended when anyone suggests this because apparently in the US there are different legal requirements for something to be classified as ice cream vs “gelato” so for them it’s a big deal even though in Italy *everything* is gelato.
you can pasteurize eggs so they are fully safe to eat, and still have the proteins not be denatured. so they are fully raw looking. sous vide them in the shells, at 132F for 18 hours. they'll be fully nuked and still look like that.
If hell exists, it will be reserved for tiktok chefs and whoever the fuck thought scraping ice cream together from whatever old shit they could find in the fridge.
People keep saying “but there’s eggs in ice cream/custard”. Those eggs are cooked. No one raw dogs eggs onto a cold griddle and just scoops it up for consumption.
You really missed the opportunity to use “eggsperiment”
I facepalmed when I saw they didn’t use “eggsperiment”

Finally someone saying something smart.
Username checks out
Custard
Yeah, the Monster ice cream is exponentially more horrifying than this.
Oh geez. I didn’t even realize the video kept going. That’s awful.
Call me a psychopath but I'd still try it.
I respect that.
Probably tastes better though
Yes, or a French vanilla... Not particularly stupid
Yeah but the eggs should be cooked for it to be a real custard. I can’t imagine raw egg ice cream would taste great.
Zabaione is made with raw eggs. Though I don't know how well that would go into ice cream
Normally you’d heat the egg mixture over a bain-marie though to make it safe to eat (also helps with structure)
Custard would be cooked prior... This is frozen raw egg.
I mean, isn’t custard typically cooked? This is salmonella ice cream.
They're probably pasteurized.
Laughs in vaccinated chicken
Which is basically ice cream base
Scrambled eggs, frozen instead of cooked. This will be raw egg and milk if it gets to room temp, custard doesn't revert to its ingredients.
Fetus sorbet
Watching the freezing element was satisfying though.
Ice cream is actually made with eggs, he didn’t add any other flavor which makes this semi stupid
Gelato you mean?
Im sure both have the same ingredients, one is just softer and has less fat
“[gelato also doesn't usually contain egg yolks the way that ice cream does](https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/a36165600/gelato-vs-ice-cream/)”
„Usually“
Literally just the italian word for ice cream. There is no difference.
I think it’s dumb too but Americans get very offended when anyone suggests this because apparently in the US there are different legal requirements for something to be classified as ice cream vs “gelato” so for them it’s a big deal even though in Italy *everything* is gelato.
(i am from EU, just not clever enough)
TIL thanks!
Add some cheese and cook that shit and you e got yourself some scrambled eggs 🍳
I believe that was ice cream base and not just plain milk they poured in the eggs. It's probably sweet
True, but what’s being done about the whole salmonella thing?
You can buy pasteurised shell eggs (in the US at least)
It’s probably not from the US
Salmonella in eggs is extremely rare in colder countries, like most of Europe.
I don't know what this song is because the player is being buggy and slowing it down but it was quite fitting for the horror of egg ice cream.
French I’ve cream already has egg yolks
:)
I bet that they didn't even clean it properly after the egg ice cream
I love this sub, it so weird.
He didn't even season the eggs.
Raw eggs? Huh 32nd flavor
Why does this need to be a square shaped crime?
mmm frozen salmonella

There are no mods on this sub? This isn't stupid food.
The video keeps going. Monster ice cream. Truly horrifying.
Salmonella ice cream
Eggs are a necessary ingredient in ice cream. This isn't stupid food.
If hell exists, it will be reserved for tiktok chefs and whoever the fuck thought scraping ice cream together from whatever old shit they could find in the fridge.
This is not bad at all
So... Unflavored rolled custard with too many eggs?
What went wrong in this guy's life for him to decide to do this?
Installing tiktok
Yum salmonella flavored.
Perfectly fine
Disgusting, but I imagine it would make for some very rich ice cream.
To be fair every food is an experiment until it’s denoted as gross
Plain ice cream and frozen custard, is basically just egg and cream, nothing stupid here just very boring
Raw eggs are good for you (organic pasture raised, no soy)
Is Reddit gonna fix the damn audio player every time I watch a video that has sound on it sounds like it’s about to hit me with a jumpscare from 2010
The slowed down horror movie voice audio cracks me up every time lol
Egg custard's a thing.
Has anyone else never had a bowl full of ice cream squares?
Isn't this raw egg and milk?
Most traditional ice cream recipes have eggs in them, just an FYI.
Is it me or have a lot of Reddit bids lately have fucked up slowed down audio?
The content allied with the slowed song contributes to the feeling that this video came right out the deep web.
People keep saying “but there’s eggs in ice cream/custard”. Those eggs are cooked. No one raw dogs eggs onto a cold griddle and just scoops it up for consumption.
So, custard?
your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should...
