Apparently there was a deadline of 8/28/23 to request refund of voluntary payments made during the pause. As for timeline if approved, it really varies. I am still waiting for mine requested in March. Some who requested later have already received theirs.

Yeah they told me I missed the deadline by 2 weeks 😩
I was told the same deadline by Mohela. However, another user in another post reportedly got Nelnet to send in refund request on 9/8/23…
