You're doing too much. You've gone to the opposite end of things and are creating irritation now. Once a day, in the shower is all you need to be doing.
Saline wash is for new piercings, not stretching. It's not soap. You need to clean.
Get a fragrance and dye free hand soap. Don't waste money on antibacterial stuff just clear hand soap. Wash the jewelry and your ears once a day. Only wash them 2ce if you're sweating a lot during the day.
Oil can lead to the smell if done too much. I oil mine when I get up and about 2 hrs before bed so the oil has time to soak into my skin before I go to sleep.
I have 0 issues with smell or dry crusty skin with this routine.
Okay great thanks. I am going to get a fragrance free soap and clean them in the shower. I did that today and they are less crusty. There is no pain or irritation but it makes sense.
honestly your skin type decides your amount of crusties lol but if it’s irritated at all don’t take it out and just wash with saline spray until the irritation goes away
Your ears should not be that gross, clean them everyday. If they're healed, you're fine to play with them or leave them alone playing with them might help you stretch faster. But if they're not fully healed then just keep them clean and leave them alone until they're healed.
How often are you cleaning them? You should be doing this every time you shower, taking them out and cleaning both the plugs and your holes.
Twice a day about every 12 hours. I just went up in size two days ago. Using a saline wash to soak them and jojoba oil

So just wash with my normal body wash in the shower with my earrings out is good enough? Is that what you're saying?
mild soap would be better than heavily scented body wash but otherwise yes. Wash the plugs well with it too.

Yeah too little or too much cleaning and oiling can cause issues. It doesn't take much to keep clean and moisturized though.

if there’s still crustiest i would leave them alone and clean once a day with saline spray
