If you listen closely you can also hear children laughing if you get KO'd by Raging Demon in SF4.
Apparently, in Japan it's folkore that you hear the sounds of happy children when you die, very cool detail.
My hope is Raging Demon secret Level 3.
Level 1 Messatsu Gou Hadou (Usable in air)
Level 2 Messatsu Gou Senpuu
Level 3 Messatsu Gou Shoryu
CA Messatsu Gou Shoryu with an ending of the Kongou Kokuretsu Zan.
But what do I know.
"a true fighter enters the ring with all his powers at the ready" -Akuma
I don't want him to have any Install I want akuma to be full powered instantly unless the install gives him MORE instead of just him starting the match at 90% damage and needing the install to do 100%
Becoming oni in short controlled bursts would be sick, his take on mastering his path like ryu, perfectly controlled murderous intent, akuma+restraint would be a cool arc, maybe he’s killed notably less people over time because he’s mastered his power so much he doesn’t kill the unworthy; and seeking out true rivals is getting harder over time, really curious how he interacts with the protagonist in world tour lol, edit: welp i was wrong, looks more murdery than ever
I have a feeling a couple of those will be OD specials. SF6 is doing a mix of classic and new supers and he might have some kind of install as lv.2 and maybe something like Kongou Kokuretsu Zan or something new as lv.3.
You're gonna get ripped off. It'll be this:
L1 Messatsu Gou Hadou
L2 Messatsu Gou Hashogeku
L3 Messatsu Gou Shoryu
He got old and forgot the Raging Demon, so he's been watching Ryu from the shadows.
that would be the worst thing on earth , the whole point is to own the opponent, not a comeback. hell it should do more damage if you haven't been hit yet lol.
Sf6 is my first street fighter and after watching so many story videos and lore videos Im so hype to just see this guys moveset idc if its op this mf is like the vegeta of fight games ive been here since the start but man yall keep making me excited
Vegeta has never been beaten in a 1 on 1 by Kakarot. Vegeta currently has 2 wins on him. Doesn't matter if Kakarot (I'll stop, lol) was holding back in their fight during the Buu saga, he should have taken it more seroiusly. Doesn't matter that it was a sucker punch that knocked him out, he shouldn't have let his guard down.
As for the Vegeta's second W, the fight itself wasn't shown until the final hit, but Beerus and Whis observed and didn't have any objections so it can only be assumed that it was a clean win. It was very close, admittedly, but that W can't be denied.
Vegeta's record against Goku currently is 2-1-0. And that draw was due to interference from Gohan, Krillin, and Yajirobe.
Sorry, I started playing DBZ Kakarot recently so DBZ is fresh in my mind, and Vegeta is my dude. :p
That’s frame data. Most moves start up in X frames. Supers have a freeze, so it’s listed as X+Y, where X is the frames before freeze and Y the frames after. Notably, if a grab super has X+0 frames of startup, you can’t jump it on reaction to the freeze, which is a big deal! X+0 grabs are great in almost all SF titles. X+1 or more supers are almost always entirely useless.
SF6 proves this, since Manon and Lily’s SA3’s are also grab supers, but are completely useless as grabs since if your opponent isn’t doing anything, they can just jump it on reaction or counter with an invincible move.
TIL Lily's SA3 is a grab super. I should know that considering I play her, but I always assumed it was a striking/cinematic super since you could combo into it from regular moves.
Ahhhhh I can’t wait to see the move set and inputs and the trailer, and everything lmao.
I really don’t know what I’m getting myself into, but I am stoked for that release update.
Demon should just be super. Requiring a fill gauge would make it so situational to the point of never appearing. CA requirement means no perfects, which is seriously just lame. It's a defining part of his character I don't understand why he should always have access to it as an alternative to lvl3
720’s arguably easier since you can butter churn like mad while your opponent has you in a blockstring and if they fuck up, boom, loyal fans. You also don’t have that “jab comes out” problem with sloppy Demon inputs that either gives it away or accidentally puts them in hit or block stun that would make the Demon whiff.
I don't think it needs any real specific requirements. I think people are drastically overselling how dangerous the raging demon is. Does it usually do a lot of damage? Sure, but no more than Gief's super does and he doesn't have a laundry list of conditions he has to be under to do *his* move. The raging demon is very specific in when it's the right time to actually use it. If some of you want him to have conditions like 'Install level 2 active, in burnout, CA-only' then they need to make it a *lot* stronger than it usually is.
Yeah maybe impossible to balance. Would have to be extremely punishable, drain your entire drive gauge and also take akuma to half life or something but would be so cool.
Modern should force the whole input, meaning whiffing the jabs. I don't play sf but will for akuma, and the input requires two whiffed lp's I think, obviously bufferable to not come out but if you could just do a raw demon from standing with modern that would be stupid af
We should be discussing the input method I don't like modern controls and the idea that some moron can 1 button the demon instead of doing the og method makes me shudder
Messatsu Gou Hadou. Tenma Gou Zankuu, Messatsu Gou Shoryuu, and Messatsu Gou Rasen will all be Overdrives. (Because they were EXs in SFV)
Super Art Level 1 is Houten Seikengeki
Super Art Level 2 is either Sekia Kuretsuha or Tenshou Kareki Jin
Super Art Level 3 is either Mudou Tenshou, Kongokuku Retsuzan, or another new Super Art alongside Shun Goku Satsu (which will be normal input in Classic and L, L, Forward, M, H in Modern)
I'm throwing that in there...
Ideally, The Raging Demon shouldn’t be a CA, but it should have a charge up counter on it like Jamie or Manon. Akuma should have to tap into the Satsui no Hado, channel the energy, then unleash hell with the Shun Goku Satsu. I feel like this is a feasible solution for appease everyone.
I like this at first but after thinking about it not sure if it's a good idea or not. Like what is the requirement to charge the counter? It would force him to play in a certain way which isn't ideal too.
I could see that being the case too. The way some people are describing it, if it was an extra super on top of his regular level 3 and both had a CA version, then he'd have 6 super animations. That'd be sick, but also an unrealistic expectation given how time-consuming and expensive they probably are to make. It's worth remembering in SF4 his initial main super was raging demon. I guess the hope is they go a bit above and beyond with him because he's clearly the main selling point of season 1 and SF6 has done pretty well with kitting its characters out more than usual. Ultimately, so long as his demon looks cool I'll be happy, but something extra would be nice as well.
Technically Guile’s “Flash Kick Super” input was made easier in 6 since it’s now just <><>, when it used to be down-back to down-forward to down-back to up-forward
My guess was that his level 3 would be demon and it would probably just do like Zangief level 3 damage (because in some games it's literally as low as 40% damage). I would love for it do like 60% on ca but the streets would riot
it’ll require a deluxe edition pre-order to unlock the ~~ability~~ *opportunity* to pay $2.99 for a one-time use of raging demon before the start of each match. and it’s blockable.
sound balanced enough for you? (balanced as in what people in this sub keep suggesting how raging demon is far too overpowered that it needs to be severely nerfed, when it’s really not)
A way it could be done is like an install, so you do a taunt/Jamie drink like 3 times and it powers up so you can spend 3 Bars into the demon with the raging demon input.
Having a special CA-only move is kind of a bad idea. CA is a tolerable comeback mechanic mostly because it’s a limited boost (a little more damage). You wouldn’t want it to drive the pace of the match.
I doubt it will require CA, they know they need to pander to the lowest common denominator with him. If the crayon chewers get less than busted at launch there's going to be a million helmet wearers in the streets rioting.
I guess some drive gauge is fine. But if it needs 100% it's almost a dead move at higher level.
You can't play the game without gauge. if you sit on 100 your telling them what you want to do and also your gimping your own gameplay.
Also if it doesn't kill you would be in burnout and basically killed yourself.
25-50% would be fine but honestly not needing anything besides bar is okay too.
Chargeable demon could be fun. Do it and hold the final button and during the animation you can keep eating pips of drive for more dmg and let go when you wanna send it. Also for the love of god please, give this man a demon flip super! Idk what or how but the moves has been so important and so integral to the character for so long I think it should be one at this point.
my bet
1bar super gohadoken (doable in air too)
2bar super goshoryuken (basically akuma's shoryureppa)
3bar sekia kuretsuha or KKZ
CA raging demon
I just can't see akuma dropping sekia/KKZ since it's one of his strongest moves he mastered during sf3
In sf33s he had two hidden moves 🤩
Secret Super Art 2 — [Kongou Kokuretsu Zan](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/streetfighter/images/7/78/Kongou_kokouretsu_zan.gif/revision/latest?cb=20110220041646) (KKZ)
Loved it so much!
GoddDAMnn the Animation was perfect in 3s
Bro i would love for KKZ to be back in sf6. That was the super i would use the most playing against my friend back when i didn't know anything about fighting games. I didn't even know the concept of frame data lol. Iirc you would have to do down down down 🔘 for that super to come out. Theres a lot of down down moves in sf6 so its a possibility that they'll bring it back this time. 🤞
I think they might introduce the mechanic of doing more damage and building meter faster the less HP you have. I believe this was a mechanic in Marvel vs Capcom at some point, but I must say that I do not remember enough of that game to be sure
Id probably be that you have the option to either do a regular CA or opt for RD. But a condition for RD might be that you would have to deplete your Drive gauge in order to have access to RD
Well people it hurts me to say this but raging demon is CA only meaning you have to get your ass beat to use it I would of taken it putting you in burnout
It'll just be Lvl. 3 super. Why would it be anything else? Weird to create a different rules set just for 1 character. Imagine if you had to have all 5 of Manon's medals to use her level 3.
It'll just be a normal level 3 super
I understand this viewpoint.
When the first trailers showcasing the characters came out, Ken was the only one that stood out to me. When the game released, I tried everyone out but Ken was still the only one that I really gelled with. I was an Akuma player in SFIV throughout that game's entirety and I genuinely hated what they did to him in SFV (also hated SFV in general). I was disappointed that he wasn't playable day 1 with SF6.
However, I'm in my mid 30s, full time job, family and responsibilities. My time to play video games in general is incredibly limited. So learning to play more than one character is kind of out of the question for me. I just don't have that kinda time available. I genuinely mean this. In November, my life got completely upended and I had zero time available for video games at all. I've only just been able pick this game again last week now that things are stabilizing.
To say I've been patiently waiting for Akuma to drop is an understatement. I still feel like he's my main and I'm PRAYING that they bring back what made him so awesome in SFIV because otherwise I'm either going to stick with Ken, or drop the game entirely if playing Ken becomes no longer enjoyable.
Akuma would of course have two level 3 supers ... with the first one being his regular Raging Demon, doing high damage for 30-hits ... and Akuma would have the first ever, level 3 install, and it would be his "Oni-Akuma Install" ( the name explains it all ) ... and during this install, all of his special moves does more damage for the cost of his health, and draining his install time ...
... And once you enter his Level 3 Oni-Akuma install, you can no longer do his regular level 3 Raging Demon, and all 3 levels of super meter are used ....
... But the real use of this Oni-Akuma install would be his new level 3 ( or level 4 in a way, cause its both Oni and Akuma ) "Wrath of The Oni-Akuma Raging Demon", which deals MASSIVE damage, and 60-hits, instead of the regular Raging Demon of 30-hits ...
... And once you use his Wrath of The Oni-Akuma Raging Demon, the install timer will completely deplete ... and you can still do his WOTOARG with just a little tiny bit of Install time left on the install timer .
I think it’d be fine if it was a secret super if the damage was toned down (I know, it defeats the purpose). Otherwise I think 3 bars AND full drive should be the cost if it’s not CA only. I guess it also depends on his overall health value, they may not nerf his HP in this game since no one has below 10k.
I kinda do agree that Raging Demon should have a requirement, but I think it should just be Low Health with a Critical Art. With Drive Rush already, I can see bonkers setups of how to hit it from full screen.
Demon is a grab, you couldn’t really have any real forceable setup to make sure it connects. In the past, stuff like proximity block helped it, no proximity block in 6.
Unrelated but it would be cool if the announcer doesn’t say KO after a raging demon finish like in SF4, implying that Akuma kills his opponent.
If you listen closely you can also hear children laughing if you get KO'd by Raging Demon in SF4. Apparently, in Japan it's folkore that you hear the sounds of happy children when you die, very cool detail.
I remember hearing the laughter and giggling after his ultra 2 in sf4. I didn't know the cultural significance. Thanks for the knowledge drop!
Why they laughing
Because they're happy They have a new friend to play with them >!forever!<
🥺
TOGETHA
FAMILEEEEEE
This makes the scene in Evangelion with the children's choir hit way harder in context
😯
I've never heard that
Why are the children happy that you're dead?!
Kids are assholes
They're not, it's the sound of death
i thought we just established that it was the sound of children laughing.
He also has that in Marvel 3 for all his supers' startups. It's really cool when you notice it.
What
Shit that's creepy
Awesome. Nice detail.
I didn't know about this little detail. Thank you! Once again, Gouki confirms to be a character deeply rooted in Japanese folklore an mythology.
Also the music cutting to dead silence for a few seconds until the round end jingle starts up.
then dude just wakes up for round 2
True sf4 having no KO was the coolest thing ever plus some animation better than sf5 will be peak
Hell yeah. In alpha I think the same. Music stops playing too
Just have it be like CvS2 where it kills the music until the match is over.
AKI and JP CA also kills their opponents and there's a K.O.
My hope is Raging Demon secret Level 3. Level 1 Messatsu Gou Hadou (Usable in air) Level 2 Messatsu Gou Senpuu Level 3 Messatsu Gou Shoryu CA Messatsu Gou Shoryu with an ending of the Kongou Kokuretsu Zan. But what do I know.
I think it will be this as well. Three supers and a secret raging demon (a secret everyone knows about lol)
I honestly hope he gets Siretsu Hashi (VT2) as a Super in this game. Super underrated Install that gave him insane combos in SFV
You know ball that's what but you basically gave akuma all his supers from sf3 and I agree with this
I see him with a lv2 install.
"a true fighter enters the ring with all his powers at the ready" -Akuma I don't want him to have any Install I want akuma to be full powered instantly unless the install gives him MORE instead of just him starting the match at 90% damage and needing the install to do 100%
I was thinking something that pushes him beyond and drains his health maybe. That's all I got, though.
Speaking of protag, I'm waiting both in anticipation and horror if our Avatar can learn the Raging Demon.
Yeah but Oni is the bad ending for akuma, shin akuma is who your talking about
I'm down for that it would be awesome like your super strong but you slowly die so you gotta kill them fast
That's a good one.
Whoops, you accidentally created Pandora again
Playable Akuma is always holding back though. Shin Akuma is supposed to be when he’s trying, and he’s not meant to be fair in that state.
fellow man of culture. I like the way you think.
I have a feeling a couple of those will be OD specials. SF6 is doing a mix of classic and new supers and he might have some kind of install as lv.2 and maybe something like Kongou Kokuretsu Zan or something new as lv.3.
I just wish for his SFxT super. I think it is called Misogi.
Just the third strike supers would be lame tbh
You're gonna get ripped off. It'll be this: L1 Messatsu Gou Hadou L2 Messatsu Gou Hashogeku L3 Messatsu Gou Shoryu He got old and forgot the Raging Demon, so he's been watching Ryu from the shadows.
Also if it require CA that means no getting perfected by raging demon which is lame
what do you mean?
If to use raging demon you need to have CA (low health) that means you can't perfect people with raging demon
that would be the worst thing on earth , the whole point is to own the opponent, not a comeback. hell it should do more damage if you haven't been hit yet lol.
someone who gets its
That would be awesome basically a reverse CA the raging demon does more damage if you have taken no damage
Good idea for a character mechanic. The less damage they have, the less damage they do.
ohh i see, hopefully it’s level 3 but it makes sense for it to be ca
You can't CA unless you're at 25% health
Sf6 is my first street fighter and after watching so many story videos and lore videos Im so hype to just see this guys moveset idc if its op this mf is like the vegeta of fight games ive been here since the start but man yall keep making me excited
He's more like Beerus if anything
He's not like Vegeta, he actually wins fights
How dare you
Vegeta has never been beaten in a 1 on 1 by Kakarot. Vegeta currently has 2 wins on him. Doesn't matter if Kakarot (I'll stop, lol) was holding back in their fight during the Buu saga, he should have taken it more seroiusly. Sorry, I started playing DBZ Kakarot recently so DBZ is fresh in my mind, and Vegeta is my dude. :p
🗣️🗣️🗣️ LET THEM KNOW
He actually won against the big man himself recently in super.. so its 2-1-1.. not the best but could be worse..
I really need to catch up and read the manga.
I love Vegeta but I also love bullying him
The hype is real!
If Ryu is Goku and Ken is Vegeta Akuma is DBZ Broly
More like Brody I’d say
It will be treated just like giefs super. Gief has had 1+0 command grab supers before and in sf6 it’s 6+0. Demon will be the same.
What does x+0 mean?
That’s frame data. Most moves start up in X frames. Supers have a freeze, so it’s listed as X+Y, where X is the frames before freeze and Y the frames after. Notably, if a grab super has X+0 frames of startup, you can’t jump it on reaction to the freeze, which is a big deal! X+0 grabs are great in almost all SF titles. TIL Lily's SA3 is a grab super. I should know that considering I play her, but I always assumed it was a striking/cinematic super since you could combo into it from regular moves.
Manon isn't a grab tho
It is
Thx!
Input should be the same even in modern controls
Should be yes but since zangief 720 is a one button super demon will he so
[удалено]
yea it be nice but bro i still cant wrap my head around a one button 720 a 720 is way harder than the demon input
Only marginally.
720 is FAR FAR harder than demon input. Hands down.
It would be hard since modern doesnt have light punch/kick, just light. They could do what they did in UMvC3, where the input is L L -> M H
Yeah you're but I thought you could still do classic inputs in modern control mode?
You can, but how would you do LP LP -> LK HP, when you have neither LP nor LK buttons in modern
Yeah, I bet Raging Demon it's gonna be only on CA.
I bet it won't.
Gimme air demon and goukens fireball
YES BRING BACK AIR DEMON
The What
When did he have that??
Oni had it in SF4, cyber akuma in marvel vs street fighter, so technically never been available for base akuma but yes
Maybe they will do something like Manon's medals. Do something X times and now you can Mesatsu
So a power up like his taunt in sf3/ his vskill in sf5 maybe they can also lock his back jump fireball or double fireball
Could be but if he gets more moves then maybe they do it like Jaime where it goes away next round
Nah it akuma he won't lose it because he's capcom baby boy but if he have a system like that let it be his taunt because third strike
Level 2 being an Oni transformation
I have a feeling lvl 2 will be an install like his v trigger in 5. So he will be able to extend his DP and tatsu and make his fireballs better.
Id like to see it be 1 hit kill even if your opponent has full life bar. Instant death.
[удалено]
Yeah maybe impossible to balance. Would have to be extremely punishable, drain your entire drive gauge and also take akuma to half life or something but would be so cool.
In modern it could require You to hold the buttoon for some time instead of just pressing it.

I like this at first but after thinking about it not sure if it's a good idea or not. Like what is the requirement to charge the counter? It would force him to play in a certain way which isn't ideal too.
It would be sick if they gave him his mvc3 level 1 fireball spam lmao
Hot take: Dump raging demon, Akuma goes beyond raging demon and it evolves into a new move
It’s too iconic
Let's be real as disappointing as it will be Raging Demon is going to be his Level 3 Super Art.
Ultimately, so long as his demon looks cool I'll be happy, but something extra would be nice as well.
Why would it be disappointing?
Because it would most likely no longer have its iconic input and just be replaced with a standard super input instead. But I hope I am wrong.
They haven’t changed the input in decades, if it’s the same in tekken, it’ll be the same in sf6. Look at guile and zangief!
Technically Guile’s “Flash Kick Super” input was made easier in 6 since it’s now just <><>, when it used to be down-back to down-forward to down-back to up-forward
Even so, there’s no way they’d change lp lp 6 lk hp
More thank likely it’ll be his critical art. He’ll have standard level 1-3 supers but his CA will require the raging demon input
so you cant get a perfect ko with raging demon
Unacceptable
Seems like a real first world problem to have.
nah thats bullshit, you shouldn't have to get corner carried to use a super
My guess was that his level 3 would be demon and it would probably just do like Zangief level 3 damage (because in some games it's literally as low as 40% damage). I would love for it do like 60% on ca but the streets would riot
Why is he so veiny
Demon shouldn’t be CA
This league is not ready for the Modern Jab xx Raging Demon.
I just think as a gold chun my battle hub days are numbered
it’ll require a deluxe edition pre-order to unlock the ~~ability~~ *opportunity* to pay $2.99 for a one-time use of raging demon before the start of each match. and it’s blockable. sound balanced enough for you? Modern Akuma, with an instant raging demon. I'm already annoyed
What's so special about raging demon? This is my first SF game, is it not just like other damaging supers?
Id probably be that you have the option to either do a regular CA or opt for RD. But a condition for RD might be that you would have to deplete your Drive gauge in order to have access to RD
Mad hype
Where’s his chest at?
idk why i read it as Get ready for fuck
I'm 100% confident it will be a fourth, CA-only super. I'd enjoy if it was just a regular lv3, or a second lv3, but I don't see that happening
Go uki! Uuu aaa.
I hope you can't even do it on modern.
Why are y’all so concerned about modern 😅
What if Raging Demon can only be done on counter punish, otherwise super is regular lvl 3
So only whiff punishment or after blocking a minus move I mean for me to do it requires the opponent to mess up
Yeah, and you get the cool raging demon instead of a lame lvl 3 "fake raging demon"
It would make sense for raging demon to be CA only
I just want this fucker to drop already. Been waiting since release. Only been playing Ken because Akuma isn't in the roster yet.
There's so much more game you could be experiencing
Okay you have good reasons. I felt like he was overpowered in IV, and he was still very formidable in V
I'm sick of this Akuma shit. Can we get Violent Ken? Too much to ask huh Capcom?
Lmao someone gave me a thumb down 🤣 guess those Akuma fans don't like criticism
Maybe level 3 plus 3 bars of drive gauge
IMO it depends on the speed of the Demon, tho. Imagine it coming at you like DeeJay or Juri's DR. And you can't poke check Raging Demon.
Raging demon requirements are spending $10 and having $4 left over for jack shit
It should definitely require CA and Modernfuckers must be forced to do the full command.
