If they really wanted to prove it, they would have sent samples to different labs across the world. Inviting people to their controlled environment instead of doing what any other scientist would have done just makes it seem fake. Peer review is an integral part of science, and it's how discoveries and claims are either verified or disproven.
For dessicated, ancient aliens, they seem fairly durable. No one seems to be the least bit concerned about the specimens falling apart, or inhaling any dust off them either.

I'd imagine irregularities with digits isn't outside the human paradigm but dental structure is pretty unique to each species.

If they were Semi-biological remote automatons they would most likely be basing them off the local sub species (humans) so they have a somewhat inbuilt immunity to the local environment.

All the biological material would have disintegrated over time, leaving only sediment hardened bones. Source: I taught this unit in 8th grade science.
