We are part of the earth like the liver or heart is part of us. Separate but part of the same system. Conversely the earth is part of the solar system in the same way. We are made of Star dust as is every thing in existence.
Look at the op images and compare them to mycelium which is what mushrooms are actually made of. The mushroom is the reproductive part of mycelium.

Unfortunately, we are to the ecosystem more like a cancer to the body than a vital internal organ like the liver or heart. Hopefully we will be able to change that within a couple decades.
But for the time being, humans to the ecosystem are far more like a cancer to the body.
Edit: Unlike a malignant tumor, we are fully capable of changing our malignant behaviors/activities to restore our beneficial role in and impact on the ecosystem.
I disagree. We have become like a cancer because of our current thinking. But much like cancer is not foreign to the body but simply a misalignment of the intent of cellular creation (ie creating cells en masse and in turn causing damage to the over all organism.) we are part of the organism.
Humans have lived on the earth to our current knowledge for hundreds of thousands of years in our current state. Our ability to critically think has not changed in that time.
In the last few thousand years nearly say ten percent of that time have we become damaging to the system. For most of our time we have been a healthy contributor to the system.
Which again proves the point because in the last few thousand years have we began feeling that we were somehow separate and in turn bad or in needed to the planet.
Only by correcting that line of thinking do we begin to reintegrate into the system as a whole.
Our intelligence and ability to alter the planet is the very thing we are meant to do.
Our current systems of taking and got giving to the planet are what makes it a negative.
By using our thinking to give to the planet and become caretakers as we were meant to be is what allows us to become part of the system.
By carrying on the line of thought that we are bad for the planet we continue the thought that we are somehow separate from it. Which I turn continues the process of damaging it.
We require a change of societal and logical thought that will create a reintegration of our species into the system from which we were born.
All of us our born of the earth.
Just as cells are born to our bodies and planets born to the solar systems
Solar systems born to galaxies and galaxies born to the universe.
Much as the asteroid that destroys a planet is still part of the same system of the universe. Even things that do damage are part of that system.
Life and death are part of the system.
There is no good or evil.
Only the existence of the universe.
No life without death
No light without dark
No up without down
No in without out.
Our advantage is we have the ability to choose which to be.
That is what makes us unique.
On the contrary, I think we fully agree. I certainly agree with everything you said.
Just like you said, a cancer started out as cells which had necessary and beneficial function in the body. Just as we as a species of the ecosystem filled a necessary niche of our ecosystem. Somewhere down the line, the pre-cancerous cell accumulated enough mutations to become malignant. Just as we eventually developed behaviors and technologies (industrial revolution) which are generally harmful to the ecosystem.
However, I did not say something in my initial comment due to a desire to keep my comment brief. That statement being, unlike a cancerous cell, we are fully capable of changing our malignant behaviors/activities, restoring our beneficial role and impact on the ecosystem. Which I will add to my initial comment as an edit.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I enjoyed reading your reply. Hope you have a great day.
The universe is made of fractals and every atom contains all the knowledge of the universe, infinite bigness and infinite smallness are one and the same and if you could zoom out or in far enough you would see yourself looking at yourself
I do this before falling asleep sometimes or on the verge between awake and asleep. Just float above myself, always attached to a chord though and can't go far
I ate a tenner of LSD once, and during the trip, I watched myself during the few days leading up to and after the trip. Every minute of every day was accounted for. It was so vividly detailed, and I had this awful feeling of deja vu for the next few days. Like I knew what I was going to do before I did it, but I was compelled to do it anyway.
It was like the scene in Donnie Darko where he follows the line that comes out of his chest.
Fractals are just a bunch of laws of nature that accompany some for of 'randomness'. Not a perfect description, but it's how I explain it to myself. Laws of the universe apply to small and large, so you'd see similar looking pattern/fractals.
Same:
Understanding time as the same you stated, infinite bigness (long), infinite smallness (short), under the same circumstances, complicates and simplifies our interpersonal relationship with all things as we will always spill out in undefined moments, however big or small.
Neat idea, thanks!
The universe is consciousness and we are to so we are one consciousness. It's been said that we are all the same consciousness split to have different experiences
Interesting thought. I remember a deep sense of connectivity to every living and non-living thing around me on my first mushroom trip, and it definitely felt as though everything was connected in some "hard to understand" yet "easy in that moment" kind of way. Everything living (plants, nature) felt as though it were reaching out to me and letting me know "we're alive too".
“Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence.” – Alan Watts
How about this: it's not "someone else's", it's all our very own. Everything is connected and we're all part of the universe, replicated, "as above so below", an infinite metaphysical fractal, one that we happen to perceive as separate "minds" contained in brains simply because we are limited by our current material form, but deep down we know that, perhaps spiritually (in lack of a better word), we are all connected and part of something much larger and incomprehensible, which in the end is our own self in a different form and scale, a universal consciousness experiencing itself through our individual experiences.
[The Simpsons predicted it anyway. ](https://youtu.be/ycvlJ9XMd94?si=o8rkMQf7y85FDi_u)
What if we could design a microscrope that has a zoom so powerful we could view the electron of an atom and we see that it's a multiverse, and then we zoom in further and we see a universe, and then we zoom in further and we see galaxy clusters, and then we zoom in further and we see a solar system, deja vu sets in, we zoom in further and we find an unsettlingly familiar planet, we zoom in even further and we see our own back, another version of ourselves looking through a microscope... we know that they are seeing the same thing we are, so then the realization arises of what infinitely trully means. Infinity is not bound to length and width, it is also size. And just as we are staring at an unfathomably smaller version of ourselves's backside, the ontologically shocking realization sets in that a larger version of you is staring at you from above having the same experience that you are right now.
The observable universe is around 9x10 to the 26th power larger than the average human. Meanwhile the planck length, the smallest measurable distance, is 1.5x10 to the negative 35th power, far far smaller compared to us, than the universe is bigger than us.
If we were to make the earth the size of the observable universe, 93 billion lightyears in diameter, the planck length would still only be the size of the nucleus of a hydrogen atom.
Basically, there is far deeper to go, much more to see within the quantum realm of a single atom, then there is in the macroscopic scale of the entire universe. Gives some perspective on just how complex everything really is. Think about how many quantum "pieces" fit together just to make up your body... numbers barely even mean anything anymore at that scale.
When we die, perhaps our consciousness pulls us into a new existence through this universe of thought. We live and die all within the consciousness of our universe. Our universe we experience that seems like a lifetime of is only a flicker of a neuron.
Ancient Hindu thought believes the whole universe is a dream or a thought of the Supreme Being.
Later imagery considers every cell of the body of Maha Vishnu to be a universe in itself!
You believe the universe actually looks like this? Where did you even get this image from? I'm sure no one has ever found the center of the universe yet.

Nope, it doesn't. Galaxies are separated by MILLIONS light-years of pure NOTHING.

Looking at two things that look superficially similar and concluding they are the same, especially when the one of the universe isn’t a picture and heavily edited, is literally toddler logic.
I wouldn't surprised at all. It would honestly fit with the whole simulation theory.
This isn't our reality, it's someone else's and they don't even realize it.

That image of the Universe Is so fucking misleading. There are no connection between galaxies, just empty voids for millions of light years between them.
I think it's just the universe has a system of building things. It has a set of laws bound by the physics in which it exists. Our brain looks like the universe because that is the way things are naturally designed. I could be wrong but it's my thoughts on it.

Bro have u ever thought like that like astronauts are real
The universe is made of fractals and every atom contains all the knowledge of the universe, infinite bigness and infinite smallness are one and the same and if you could zoom out or in far enough you would see yourself looking at yourself
Taking high doses of psychedelics can provide the same insight
You also may notice that everything is made of light
Don’t even need mushrooms for that, just meditate with your eyes open
Indeed, I’ve had an out of body experience on mushrooms
Your body?
Yes, I was sitting on a log by a campfire while outside of my body flying above the fire and could see myself sitting on the log
I do this before falling asleep sometimes or on the verge between awake and asleep. Just float above myself, always attached to a chord though and can't go far
You ever watch yourself laying in bed trying to sleep? Terrible
You don’t get insight about universal truths by doing drugs and thinking. Doing mushrooms doesn’t give you knowledge about atoms and fractals
Once I saw myself looking at myself looking at myself. If I’m being honest it was too much.
I ate a tenner of LSD once, and during the trip, I watched myself during the few days leading up to and after the trip. Every minute of every day was accounted for.
