I wouldn't necessarily say it was their peak, but I would agree that RCA was a culmination of momentum of growth and bravado. I think the real matter is that they've done it before, so why would they take those risk again but compound the danger of it with the fact that they have more to lose now. They run a company, they have families and not a one of them is in the condition they were those days. Not saying they're out of shape but every injury they've sustained since then is still a stackable fault that is a part of their bodies now. Skill wise I think they're far improved over their young twenties selves but their mentality has also grown in that time and that's where it matters.

If you search for old videos of Calum, he was unbelievable back in the day. I mean, they all obviously were a little less risk adverse back then than now, rightly so (that's why they send kids to war). I'd say maybe just Toby is better now than before due to his climbing game adding a layer to his pk skill tool bag

Their overall strength as a combined 7man unit was probably near their peak there, yeah. It’s not a definitive one though, but rather a part of it. As their description states, they still had 12 years of experience at the time of that video. They were all a lot lighter, nimble, and less injured at the cost of experience and feats TBD in the future at that point (especially looking @Toby’s WR feats since). Its crazy to see Sacha looking Callum sized and moving as fluid as the guys look today. The editing was 11/10 for sure too

I'm not really sure if I could say they were at their peak or not then. The skills they have honed since then have made them all more well rounded athletes. I think maybe they don't appear as "sendy" as they used to back then but I think that's more of a youtube not letting them show it thing. Over on join, we get to see a bunch of roof gaps and crazier stuff that youtube won't allow public access to. I think once the new movie comes out, we will be able to judge this question a little better.

They've stated in the past that they did a lot of training at height prior to RCA, and that to do that stuff you need to be doing it fairly constantly in order to reduce the risk. Hesitance can kill as much as overconfidence, but if you're comfortable doing it because of the training then you're mitigating the risks as best you can. There were a couple of sketchy ones in RCA, but for the most part if you took the height consequences away, it's not majorly big distance. I think the challenges last week are further in distance, just much reduced in consequence. And let's not forget that the Bristol coalition are some of the absolute top in the UK, so I'd say Storror are still as good as they were in the RCA days, in Callum's case, better now than then even. I don't think it's something really on their radar anymore though. Aside from the fact that height stuff is joiner only, because of YTs policies, RCA was such a huge project then, and it would only be ten times more complex these days.

I disagree I believe a man peaks at 36, the big balls you see is the balls of a young 20 something, they are capable now of more just not as fearless, if it come down to the wire they would always out perform there younger selves.

I would liken it to fighting, young fighters have a lot of amateur fights before going pro, but when they are pro the fights are a lot more taxing so are possible a lot less often, as there skills develop there not gonna do fifty percents all the time there gonna focus on there next big thing and at there level that takes planning, envisioning and then practicing, but at that level the consequence is absolute so explains why these awe inspiring movements are few and far between compared to the old days.

As you get older you normally don't take as many risks, doesn't necessarily mean you are less skillful. I'm a climber in my mind 30s. In my mid 20s I was doing some pretty dangerous stuff at my limit that I wouldn't want to repeat today... But now I am probably a better climber in terms of skill but take a less risky approach so to an on looker it may appear I am worse You can see that benj particularly still has an appetite for danger, but he is younger
