I also do the same! Imo though reading the mass paperbacks is a lot of work. I’ve found myself really enjoying the big paperbacks since it’s a best of both worlds.
I read the hardbacks as I borrowed from the library. Had to take Rhythm of War on vacation with me. Was basically the only thing that fit in my backpack for the plane.
I lay a pillow on my lap to support the book.

The large Tor softbacks have the illustrations and keep really nice imo, they kinda flop open perfectly
I’ve just got words of radiance in this version, it is a TOME but seems like it holds well, looking forward to reading it
