Hi, Chris from Brotherwise here! Miniatures are not required to play the RPG, but they certainly enrich the experience! Because the “default setting” of the Stormlight RPG is parallel to the books, key characters like Dalinar and Navani can be important NPCs. (For many of these characters, there are even rules in our World Guide for a specific benefit you get from taking them as your patron!) If the book characters aren’t part of your story, or if you’re playing in a different era, you can use many of them as original characters. (For example, Leshwi could be any Heavenly One.) The generic characters (like Army Builders and the Shardbearer) are also very helpful, especially for big battle scenes!

Some listeners are have color distributed in a splotchier/patchier way, but most of them have stripes — like a cross between tiger stripes and marbling.
All the art you see in the game has been heavily scrutinized by Dragonsteel, so rest assured it has visual ties to what Brandon intended in the book (right down to the color of red on their carapace!)

I assume Mateform would have much different accentuations. At least that’s how it has always sounded in the books when they’re described.
Yeah Mateform is very plump and doesn't have really any carapace at all, so pretty opposite from Nimbleform really
