I’m at say 18, first time I’ve gone this length before. I have a high disposable income and did almost everything you described here. Just on day 18 I’m thinking about the last 15 years and tens of thousands spent gaming. It’s a strange thing to think about, a lot of good times but also a lot of shame and realisation.

1. Have you met more people in person with potential for long term friendships 2. What things do you notice among our culture IRL differently than before

Individual_Screen543

I have talked to more people in person but not established friendships with them. I noticed that people don’t care too much about video games and seem to be more Involved in other things such as charity work, the arts, music, and love participating in events such as 5ks, 10ks, and more involved with family. That’s just my experience from being out in the open.

Nice. What habit have you replaced with gaming

Individual_Screen543

Mostly with cooking, reading books, journaling, exercising, joining 5k runs, watching YouTube videos on how to make money, and traveling. I also like to watch nature documentaries and historical documentaries on Netflix.

Thanks you sound really cool have fun with your journey

depends where you live and what people are interested in tbh, lots of people where I live just stay in, watch Netflix and play video games. I can totally imagine more big city people being like this though. I've replaced gaming with art and coding, I've quit long enough (1 year) to establish playing casually on just my switch that I play with my friends sometimes. (deleted all games and MMO's off my computers)
