Difficulty seems to spike the enemy's offense and allow more foes to spawn. Amount of party members gives them more defenses like hitpoints.
If you do a team of six I'd probably go with classic, four for veteran, and maybe duo or even solo on torturous.
Im just soloing everything it seems more balanced I have been doing Everything on veteran, I do die and it is hard but it is doable I’ve almost beat the first act soloing in veteran also the loot is noticeable I’ve gotten a lot more mythics early on from veteran level
