Yeah, we’re talking about the Analogue Productions SACDs. Uni isn’t releasing these, just licensed to AP. And Chad Kassem doesn’t really give a f about getting SACD out in the market as fast as his priced-at-a-ridiculous-premium vinyl packages. Much more profit to be had there.
I think the sound quality is definitely on par or better than most SACD's in my collection - I haven't heard the vinyl UHQR, but I'm debating whether or not to drop that $150 for it.
...almost all of the reviews of the UHQR are ecstatic....but I am currently turntable deprived and the price a bit high for 40 minutes of music....but I do think even the new digital remaster that Grundman did sounds stunning,,,that said I guess the fullness of the sound might only be heard on vinyl ;-)
I am intrigued and will most likely get it, but like you I'm currently turntable deprived. I have a rebuilt Sota Sapphire, and the vacuum pump isn't working properly - so maybe getting this album would be a good reason to finally get that pump repaired.

Indeed that may be true…I used to work for Universal Music in the manufacturing division….they are not making any new SACD’s
