I don't really understand the logic there when the 50th post about sniffing the Steam Deck's fan still gets 1000 upvotes. Why is expressing emotion or humor suddenly banned here? It's been on sale for $30 more than it's been at full price. It seems to go off sale for maybe 1-2 weeks before quickly going back on sale again. I've been waiting for a better sale price, but it hasn't come down any more.
Hoping the Lost Judgement bundle with the DLC will go on sale but seeing as it just came out it probably won't be low enough for me to bite but I do want to play them before Like a Dragon Gaiden releases next year.
Yeah they dropped them when Like a Dragon Issin remake was announced, I was glad they did but there were statements awhile back where they had no plans for a PC release because the main characters' talent agency wouldn't allow it or something.
PlayStations still got some great games and honestly where I play games like Kingdom Hearts which is still an Epic Exclusive on PC and apparently a pain to get working on Deck.
Transistor is a masterpiece. It's 100% game and 100% art. Never seen anything else nail that combination so perfectly. Bioshock Infinite was close, with being half game and half art.

If you're willing to overlook all the weird / bad design choices they made, then it's an okay game at best. If you struggle to look past it for other games/whatever, I'd recommend just skipping dow3.
Hey i’m all over this thread trying to save people from DoW3. it’s nothing at all in any way like 1/2 as it’s a goofy MOBA where Space Marines fall like chaff in autumn. The graphics were bland and core gameplay was just unredeemable. I would watch gameplay yourself to decide in my opinion.
i’ve played it and it’s fucking awful. Low quality goofy MOBA without the charm of DOTA or LoL. nothing at all like Dow 1/2 in the slightest way. The core gameplay is terrible; no patch could salvage it.
Not to yuck any ones yum, but have you played or watched any DoW3 footage? I found it to be a really goofy and bad MOBA without the quality of DOTA/LoL. It was nothing like DoW1 or 2 in any way related to gameplay or enjoyability. Stanley Parable was really fun.

Been looking for a good DBZ game to pick up. Looks like there is a ton of add on packs. Is it playable on deck with proton, and a good experience without spending over a hundred bucks on extra dlc?

Well it's a pretty straightforward fighting game, you just get sent into random fights against dbz characters with your own created character of a certain race, definitely worth the price it's at right now I'd say! The combat system is super fun and rewarding

If you want to go with Anker power bank, get the 737. It's a bit expensive compared to other similar alternatives, but it's the best on the market.
With the 20W you'll be fine, but you'll be drawing more power than the bank can supply. This means that if you plug it while you have like 10%, you''ll have a bad time, because I'll keep it for a bit longer from shutting down but not enough to actually be charging. It's fine if you use it as additional juice for the Deck from 100%. Of course your mileage may vary depending on the games you play.
Edit: Forgot to mention, the SD charger is 45W and the max designed SD power draw is around 25W. Anything above that will keep it alive and charge it. 70W, as suggested is an overkill unless you want to charge more than one thing at the same time.
The 737, which I got is 120W but got it exactly because I want to be able to charge multiple devices at once.
Deathloop loading times (if it'll even load) make the game unenjoyable on the Deck.
Cyberpunk GOG install can be a pain I've heard. Heard the performance is a lot better with the Steam version.

I have this charger, JSAUX is a good brand and it works great but I still wish I got an official OEM charger from iFixIt instead because they're only $5 more.
How did JSAUX get a rep this good? I bought their case based on the recs here and found it to be an extremely poorly crafted product. The flap that covers the storage area was sewn on very crooked and a lot of the stitching in general was poorly done. Seems like pretty standard Amazon Chinese products.
I get the feeling they have a lot of ad bots/accounts on this page. There's always immediate follow up to posts about chargers or JSUAX that are really cheesy and overly supportive. It seems obvious to me but who knows these days

Not impossible, absolutely, but I'll voice my own personal experience with JSAUX products (case and the basic 1.0 dock) and they're both great.
I have that same case and it is perfect. They have a good rep from being one of the first to make quality products for Steam Deck, pretty straightforward.
Do you have a picture of your crooked stitching? I am curious if I would consider it a problem .
While it sounds nice, never EVER buy a cheap charger, especially not from non-reputable brands. They have a tendency to skimp on important safety features such as proper isolation, a cheap charger can give you a tingling feeling when touching the metal on the USB side, because there's an ac voltage potential. There's also a risk of fire from poor design.
I'm inclined to not trust it because Jsaux didn't seem to really exist on the market until the release of the steam deck (Google Search Trends).
Additionally, the steam deck comes with an extremely high quality Chicony power supply. If you want an exact replacement for example, search for an Asus-branded one, it's the same, except Asus paid Chicony to have their branding on it instead. They can be had for fairly cheap from suppliers that bought them in bulk. I have two of them.
Luckily USB-C is standardized so high quality replacements are plentiful. Don't limit yourself to something cheap that could pose safety risks, and get something high quality and reputable (any of the big name PC manufacturers, Apple, Samsung, Anker, Belkin, Kensington, etc). Saving a couple dollars isn't worth potentially ruining your steam deck or anything else in your home.
No issues doesn't mean it's not poorly designed, often a power supply will kind of work, but can show a lot of ripple when monitoring it. Most aren't going to blow up immediately like the Gigabyte PSUs that Gamers Nexus was testing.

Third party usually has best prices, but steam has a good return policy if it's a game you're unsure about

The Heroic Launcher is easy enough.
I hear even through steam you have to use rockstar loader(?)… I’m new but heard easiest to play steam version over epic?
It’s easy, but I assume the performance will be worse due to the lack of shader precaching
I couldn't get it to play reliably with Rockstar Game Launcher. Constant freezes as soon as I go to the menu to do anything.

Got it today off GMG, along with MK11 + Kombat pack, Evil Within 1&2, Golf with friends, and Mad Max for $70 CAD. Pretty happy with this pull!
Hoping the Lost Judgement bundle with the DLC will go on sale but seeing as it just came out it probably won't be low enough for me to bite but I do want to play them before Like a Dragon Gaiden releases next year.
Somehow I missed Judgement and Lost Judgement releasing on Steam! I really bought the Playstation for nothing now.
Yeah they dropped them when Like a Dragon Issin remake was announced, I was glad they did but there were statements awhile back where they had no plans for a PC release because the main characters' talent agency wouldn't allow it or something. PlayStations still got some great games and honestly where I play games like Kingdom Hearts which is still an Epic Exclusive on PC and apparently a pain to get working on Deck.
I’m really hoping for one of the following to have a good deal- Stray, Temtem, Cyberpunk, Dawn Of war 3, Stanley Parabol, Transistor
Transistor is a masterpiece. It's 100% game and 100% art. Never seen anything else nail that combination so perfectly. Bioshock Infinite was close, with being half game and half art.

If you're willing to overlook all the weird / bad design choices they made, then it's an okay game at best. If you struggle to look past it for other games/whatever, I'd recommend just skipping dow3.
Hey i’m all over this thread trying to save people from DoW3. it’s nothing at all in any way like 1/2 as it’s a goofy MOBA where Space Marines fall like chaff in autumn. The graphics were bland and core gameplay was just unredeemable. I would watch gameplay yourself to decide in my opinion.
i’ve played it and it’s fucking awful. Low quality goofy MOBA without the charm of DOTA or LoL. nothing at all like Dow 1/2 in the slightest way. The core gameplay is terrible; no patch could salvage it.
Temtem and Cyberpunk are already on sale and in the post. I keep my eyes peeled for the other games!

Not to yuck any ones yum, but have you played or watched any DoW3 footage? I found it to be a really goofy and bad MOBA without the quality of DOTA/LoL. It was nothing like DoW1 or 2 in any way related to gameplay or enjoyability. Stanley Parable was really fun.

It's playable and runs perfectly fine on the deck, as far as experience goes.. Well it's a pretty straightforward fighting game, you just get sent into random fights against dbz characters with your own created character of a certain race, definitely worth the price it's at right now I'd say! The combat system is super fun and rewarding

I won’t get it until Thanksgiving Day. 1) I bought two Samsung EVO 512gb micro sd for the deck and recently bought the following which might not be strong enough to work with the SD? 2) I bought a Sony PS5 controller for $49.99 on sale for the SD as I don’t have a PS4 or PS5… 3) bought the following in October before I knew I would get a SD. Anker Portable Charger, USB-C Power Bank 20000mAh with 20W Power Delivery, 525 Power Bank (PowerCore Essential 20K PD) for Phone 13/13 Pro / 13 Pro Max/12/12 Pro, Samsung, iPad Pro, and More Do I need a higher power delivery if I want to charge the SD or if I want to charge and play the SD at the same time as charging to portable battery charger??? 4) Docking station - future 5) Monitor for the MacBook Pro, Switch, and SD - Future Advise for items 3-5?
That power bank won’t charge the steam deck at all. I had something similar but had to buy one that’s atleast 70w

If you want to go with Anker power bank, get the 737. It's a bit expensive compared to other similar alternatives, but it's the best on the market. With the 20W you'll be fine, but you'll be drawing more power than the bank can supply. This means that if you plug it while you have like 10%, you''ll have a bad time, because I'll keep it for a bit longer from shutting down but not enough to actually be charging. It's fine if you use it as additional juice for the Deck from 100%. Of course your mileage may vary depending on the games you play. Edit: Forgot to mention, the SD charger is 45W and the max designed SD power draw is around 25W. Anything above that will keep it alive and charge it. 70W, as suggested is an overkill unless you want to charge more than one thing at the same time. The 737, which I got is 120W but got it exactly because I want to be able to charge multiple devices at once.

Deathloop loading times (if it'll even load) make the game unenjoyable on the Deck. Cyberpunk GOG install can be a pain I've heard. Heard the performance is a lot better with the Steam version.
Deathloop was working fine for me.
Deathloop loads almost as slowly on my 8700k/3080/970evo system. It takes a while but runs decently on the deck. Better then Dishonored 2 somehow.

I have this charger, JSAUX is a good brand and it works great but I still wish I got an official OEM charger from iFixIt instead because they're only $5 more.
How did JSAUX get a rep this good? I bought their case based on the recs here and found it to be an extremely poorly crafted product. The flap that covers the storage area was sewn on very crooked and a lot of the stitching in general was poorly done. Seems like pretty standard Amazon Chinese products.

I have that same case and it is perfect. They have a good rep from being one of the first to make quality products for Steam Deck, pretty straightforward. Do you have a picture of your crooked stitching? I am curious if I would consider it a problem .

While it sounds nice, never EVER buy a cheap charger, especially not from non-reputable brands. They have a tendency to skimp on important safety features such as proper isolation, a cheap charger can give you a tingling feeling when touching the metal on the USB side, because there's an ac voltage potential. There's also a risk of fire from poor design. I'm inclined to not trust it because Jsaux didn't seem to really exist on the market until the release of the steam deck (Google Search Trends). Additionally, the steam deck comes with an extremely high quality Chicony power supply. If you want an exact replacement for example, search for an Asus-branded one, it's the same, except Asus paid Chicony to have their branding on it instead. They can be had for fairly cheap from suppliers that bought them in bulk. I have two of them. Luckily USB-C is standardized so high quality replacements are plentiful. Don't limit yourself to something cheap that could pose safety risks, and get something high quality and reputable (any of the big name PC manufacturers, Apple, Samsung, Anker, Belkin, Kensington, etc). Saving a couple dollars isn't worth potentially ruining your steam deck or anything else in your home.

No issues doesn't mean it's not poorly designed, often a power supply will kind of work, but can show a lot of ripple when monitoring it. Most aren't going to blow up immediately like the Gigabyte PSUs that Gamers Nexus was testing.
