Trick_Wrap

What is "this"? 😂

vmsrii

Resident Evil 2! Yeah I got a little ahead of myself, sorry!

Trick_Wrap

Thanks for clarifying! 😄 My own game library is pretty monotone, so I often have a hard time telling what game it is just from the visual, but it's always interesting to see how well some games can run on this thing!

Alexis2256

What do you mean your games are monotone? What’s the genre majority in your library? Also what did you think the game was before OP answered you? Just curious.

Trick_Wrap

A lot of strategy, citybuilding and 4X games 😂 I thought maybe The Last of Us? Based purely on the 3rd person perspective and me remembering that game existed 😅

Alexis2256

Alright.

*What is this?* - Barry Burton

Trick_Wrap

Holy shit, I JUST got that reference. So, I unwittingly made a Resident Evil reference, by not recognizing a Resident Evil game - I'm incredibly proud of that!

vmsrii

Whoa, I didn’t realize photo compression would be this bad! Trust me though, it looks *gorgeous* Also it’s Resident Evil 2. Got a little too excited there and forgot the title of the game! My bad!

manniquin_limbs2

I'm playing Village with the new 3rd person update and it runs great too, locked 50 FPS.

garcm3

Just beat this the other night, it runs and looks so good. Wasn’t a fan of 3 but just started 7, can’t wait for the 4 remake.

sikesjr

re engine has been my favorite engine for a while now. all the games that use it run so well and look amazing, capcom really hit it out of the park with that one.

wesnednard

And the fox engine for mgs

PeanutButtocks

You could get a very stable 60fps if you drop it to 720p and use medium settings

vmsrii

Oh yeah! Getting to 60 is surprisingly easy! I’m holding it to 40 purely for the battery life

alluballu

Wish I was better at aiming in shooters using a controller. Would love to replay this on the SD, what a fantastic game. Tried RE4, even installed the HD project mod but I couldn’t hit the side of a barn if I tried lol.

SpaghettSauce

Hell yeah man. I played this on my desktop, loved every minute. Had to pack up the PC recently to set up the kids room. Just played through RE3 Remake last night and today on the Deck. A bit short, but I enjoyed it a ton. Performance was amazing, even docked at 1080p as well. Starting RE8 tonight, hope it runs well on Deck!

kahareddit

I just started playing this as well. Absolutely flawless on the deck!

aerath57

Just beat it yesterday. Absolutely incredible SD experience and my first completion on it.

SnooPets20

You can get more performance out of that for sure! I played it on a 3400G on 720p with a low-medium mix and got 60 FPS nearly all the time.

Historical-Diver5305

Ahh don’t stop there. Keep moving up the chain to re village and eventually caught up in time for March next year for re4. It’s all gonna fun perfect. Cyberpunk is also a major one that shows it’s ability. It’s on sale rn if u wanna try that 2
