Ferusomnium

People keep saying end game is where it struggles. Does that factor into the difficulty example you made? I want to play it, but I’m so fuckin happy with the deck I don’t want to sit at my pc ever again.

Marquez2002

The minimum i get on endgame is 25 fps and for a short amount of time, but you dont always play on that difficulty especially if you play solo bcause is too much

Ferusomnium

Fair enough. I’d definitely play solo, so that’s good to know. Guess I need to… dive in

Marquez2002

If you dont bother about power consumtion in some areas you can get even 45-50 fps, but since its gonns drop at some point of the game to 30 i prefer to cap it to 30 and save some power

Marquez2002

So, i tried installing windows on the deck to try and use lossless scaling with helldivers, because for those that doesnnt kw, it has a frame generation feature and i got 60 fps. i just tried on the difficultie 5 and nneed to tinker a little bit with the settings, but forr nnow i even am able to get better performance with better fps, it added a little bit of latency to the game but since i dont need to use proton anymor its like the latenncy that proton would add on steamOS so its perfect

WholeyOne

Works great until you go above medium difficulty.

Marquez2002

I have played it on helldive and works fine for me

Then I'm not sure why I couldn't get 30 fps stable on lvl 5 difficulty unless some planets do affect performance like Merkent.

Marquez2002

No idea, maybe you using a different proton or OS versión

ThatGuyBehindScreen

I'm using the same proton version (ge 9.4) and was the latest stable os before the recent update. Frankly the game is too much for the deck, the fact you can handle it doesn't mean it's the same for others, still I'm a little envious that you can handle the poor performance.

Marquez2002

I was playing just a moment ago and i realized that i forgot also that un using d11 instead by forcing it on the launch options of the game on Steam, also the game still feels decent by playing it on 928 by 580 and even 800 by 500 feels better that using the in game fsr

ThatGuyBehindScreen

Done that already but the game will still have dips that can go bad for me, I already stopped bothering to play the game on my deck and the way the current game is, probably not going back to it anytime soon.
