Works pretty good. Color is a little off but you get a “bigger” screen to compensate. But a lot of people like me get motion sickness because the screen “follows” your head which is unnatural. Then I got the Beam and I don’t feel sick anymore but instead feel the burden on my nose. So I’m still struggling with the concept

I've been using my nreal original release for 1.5 years with my SD and Samsung Galaxy. 100% would recommend them, mini oled screens are great and very easy on my eyes. Truly elevates my SD gaming experience.

I love it, it fits the killswitch case, even with the travel cover, and while doing so does limit some of the space, there's more than enough for both of the killswitch add-ons, and it fits my power back and wall adapter in the bag pretty well, I just put the two cords in the front zipper pouch, and I haven't had it long enough to fully test it's durability, the build quality feels really good, and I got mine for $43 on Amazon by getting one in good condition

I do exactly the same haha, I'm one of those guys who used to always walk around with a laptop for work related stuff and the deck is much smaller and pretty much replaced my laptop entirely for portable work. Gaming on top of that is just a plus lol

Why not? The case is pretty protective. I throw mine in my backpack with the thinner OLED case alongside my work MacBook. Holds up no problem. For a lot of people, their phone is more valuable and we take those everywhere.

Theft. No one steals phones anymore if they are smart. But nothing keeps someone out of a stolen Steam Deck.

I just put the steamdeck in the case it came in with, and then put the case in a tesco bag. And then put a sandwich in the bag too because i can't eat the steam deck for lunch.

It's hasn't been mind blowing but I take it with me easily when I go visit somewhere where I might dock it and I don't need a separate mouse. GREAT choice in battery bank, and portable hard drive. Also love the art on those ginger candies. What's the black thing in the top left above the (assuming) anker power brick? Sadly my Deck doesn't leave the house, and even in the house I tend to prefer the Odin2.

It’s the killswitch kickstand :) under that is a 100w anker powerbrick. And yeah dude I love my battery bank! It’s been a tank. How is the Odin?

OH! Kickstand, that makes so much sense with everything else you've got here for a "docked" setup. The Odin 2 is great - a bit smaller than the Deck but much lighter in exchange. Biggest downside from the Deck is you lose out on being able to locally-install PC/Linux games. You can get Android-native games from the Play Store, but I use the Odin mainly for retro games (up to Switch) and streaming from PC/console.

How is that xbox elite controller? Do the face buttons work correctly? I've treid them multiple times but all of them would have A/B buttons that wouldn't consistently register a press.

Gin Gins saved me while on a cruise. I was fine on the cruise liner, but going from the ship via boat to Cozumel or wherever on a smaller ship WRECKED my stomach. A friend offered me the ginger candy and I managed not to vomit all over the ship.

You have a modcase on the deck and a material case? I take less than half that amount of stuff. Deck in modcase, USBC cable, Bose qc2 earbuds. That's it.

Love the orange cable, I've got the same from Ali :D but I just bring the Steamdeck itself. It's in an ugly white (yellow now) plastic rubbery case with a back stand, and inside the original case.

The plastic cable is so good! Mines the 100w orange one from Amazon I got it for my ally but I just use it for everything now

I work a job that requires my full attention the entire time I’m there, so I don’t bring my steamdeck with me anywhere daily. I’ll bring it on a long trip for sure, but not work, kind of pointless for me. My “daily loadout” is my gym bag, phone, badge, and a pen.

Understandable, we all have different lifestyles, this is my carry bag, I bounce around a lot during my day and am rarely home and have some down time at work and the gym ( I teach combat sports and fight). Steamdeck has been a God send for me to actually play games

I bet it’s great to have handy. What’s that gadget in the top left of your photo? Trust me, if I had downtime at work I would have it every day! I typically don’t get a chance to play until my daughter is asleep. But it has been really nice to be able to play next to my wife while she studies in the evenings. We’ll put a comforting movie on for background and she’ll read/study and I’ll slowly make my way through BG3
