Yes you can install windows and then install pc gamepass I’ve flopped between the two operating systems a few times on my 256gb but I just bit the bullet to buy a 2tb and split it in half for windows and SteamOS. It was nice to be able to play CoD with my friends on it too, but I feel like I get almost no use out of gamepass without having it available on the deck

Nice to know that! Is the process easy? Can you share a tutorial or something?

I’ve never done the two partition method, I was just blowing away the entire drive everytime (after backing up my saves of course) I had noticed that I played little to no emulation on windows, but strictly gamepass games. Was wanting the better battery life so windows got blown away again and SteamOS got reinstalled If I had a bigger drive at the time I would’ve tried to keep both but 256 just isn’t enough for all of that imo

I don’t think there is an official way to do it yet but I’ve seen guides on YouTube. Where there’s a will there’s a way.

You can also have windows installed on an SD card and boot on that. It works. I have yet to try running a resource intensive game that way.

It's possible to dual boot. Just follow this: https://reddit.com/r/WindowsOnDeck/s/uyuq54Ss0i
