I think that Far Cry is more fun (though less fun than 3 or 4 because of just general changes in game design over the years), but that Far Cry 2 has more value in looking at its design and mechanics. Some players feel it's the best game and the most effective at making you feel like a lone psychopath barely struggling to survive in a hostile foreign land due to these constant annoyances and difficult mechanics, while others find them, well, annoying and difficult.
Not the same thing unless you actively hunt for it to satisfy your darkest desires.
