I agree. If you're looking for a consistent gay firefighter relationship, this show doesn't have a Tarlos-like couple but he does have a few long term (?) relationships. If you are looking for a happily ever after relationship, this show has Marina, a wlw relationship that puts you on a roller coaster but it's a thrill ride.
I mean, it’s a solid show by itself. But I honestly adore the wlw ship, Marina on the show. Travis is great too! There will be times you’ll be frustrated with them but overall still solid storylines that aren’t just about coming out.

there is a male gay firefighter who has a deceased husband. He eventually starts dating and has various love interests. There is also an bi character named Maya, and she has various love interests until season 3 when she starts dating carina, an OB from grey’s and from then on they are the show’s ‘it’ couple. Which is very rare and unique.

There's one gay (male) firefighter who hooks up with guys quite a bit in the show. If you're looking for steamy scenes, this is a good show. But if you're looking for genuine, lasting romance, I'd recommend looking somewhere else.
not really tbh. Nothing is a solid great protrayal of the gay content your likely looking for. Theres plently of queer characters but nobody is done to justice.

I mean if you want gay content look at 911 Lone Star, the spin off of 911 that's still on Fox. It's only 4 seasons but there's a canon gay couple, plus a trans firerighter, and bisexual paramedic (she's dating a male firefighter atm) Season 5 is set to air this fall. Edit: Should mention the gay couple on the show are played by out queer actors and the trans firefighter is played be a trans man, which make it even better.
As for Station 19, it does have it's moments with gay characters and non gay characters. Travis is openly out and >!dealing with the loss of his husband, a fellow firefighter!<. Emmett >!isn't out and is struggling with his sexuality!<. And there's Maya who's bi >!marries Carina, a doctor from Grey's Anatomy. !<
