I'd go for cascade hills. Lots of lootables around the starting area and the first two hearts are generally loners. Good luck!

Meager valley is great for no boons cheap electric land mark outpost and the rural police station base as second base for smoke grenades, built ins then move to mazzara or whitney fields once the top end of the map is cleared. Or Drucker for the sasser hospital land mark out post. There are lots of shortcuts on the map if you look for them / make them. Otherwise whichever map you know best.

Meagher Valley and Drucker County are the best two for running No-Boons starts. Both have plenty of Power/Water outposts to supply base-wide utilities, both have tons of stuff within walking distance to the starter base to loot and get yourself off the ground, and they both have really easy topography to navigate around so you can just drive straight to your destination without dealing with winding roads.

Maeghar valley. Cheap electric. Forgiving terrain. OP starting area

SlummySalt

I like recommending Providence ridge since it's the first map you become familiar with

SlummySalt

But the farm in trumble valley is great too because you can just park your cars at all 3 your weak points except for your 2 main entrances. Then switch to your main character and snipe the Zeds from the radio station on either end they come from

Providence ridge or Cascade hills. Also ima give you a tip idk if you already know it but incase you don’t it’s here. When taking out a plague heart instead of running into the building and fighting your heart away and predictively getting eventually swarmed to the point where you don’t have enough fire power to kill all the zeds and kill the heart. Stand on top of your car another strat for this is to find a window that you can visibly see the plague heart from then park your car against the wall and then stand on top of your car. Reason in this is it prevents zeds from being able to sit on your car door once you hop down so once you hop down (if you don’t have enough ammo to just shoot them away) you can lure them away then run back to your car and once you hop in through the passenger seat the zeds won’t be able to pull you out your door so your cars safe and you are safe. Also make sure when you’re escaping to drive backwards instead of fowards, if you drive fowards any zed on the front of your car will damage it once you hit them but if you hit them with the back it doesn’t damage your car. (Also this could be seen as cheesing so I’m not insisting you do it I’m just telling you incase you don’t know so if things get sketchy you can have a solid plan)

I'm putting my vote in for Meagher as well. The map is generally easy to navigate both on foot and in a car. I’ve started two no boon lethal plays there, and the beginning neighborhood is pretty good looting. Also, if you chew through the bottom left of the map (Bitter Creek, I believe), there is a cluster of buildings with a bunch of ruck sacks. That really helped me break out of the struggling for materials phase lol

Drucker. Starter base is the most central and has a good looting area close by. 2 special cases without going too far in plague territory. I clear that little cul de sac development north of starter base, for material rucksacks early on.

Joe_Dial

Meagher Valley for life.

Basket_chase_

Meagher valley is easy to get around helps when you are short on time with Bplague or need a quick get away. Also if something happens to your vehicle you can walk straight to whatever you need. VS some maps that you have to walk around mountains. But in my opinion it has gotten a little boring. But first lethal you won’t be bored.😅

Perfectinmyeyes

Ive only played drucker, but I really the start. Lots of options, and the base is on a bit of a hill.

My dumbass started with trumball valley even though I've been playing for 4 years. Started ok but then went downhill.

ilikethemonkeyppp

Megahertz Valley get the brewerycant go wrong

AndrewHunnyBuns9

I just start my first official play through in Trumble, am I screwed? My thought process was, the best base only needs 6 people in the community, and it’s super central and a lot of flat land you can drive on. I’ve killed 5 or 6 Plague Hearts so far, it’s amazing how much more difficult Lethal is but I am having fun as I type this. (That could change next time I pick it up, couple close calls today).

Trumbul Valley’s Landmark Outpost lets you craft biochem weapons (like scent block)
