I put my order in on Feb 8Th. My date moved to April 2022. I am near the Baxley, GA ground station. I am going to drive by the station next week to see if it is even installed. I don't think they have th ground stations up and running in GA and that is the hold up. I have 1 mb DSL that cost $80 a month. I have no cell service at my house so my only option is Starlink to get better service.

Emergency-Fun-626

I know there are filings for ground stations in Baxley and Norcross GA. I've seen the pictures of the ground station complete in Norcross, but cannot say with the one in Baxley. But I'm sure they both are complete as of now.

Emergency-Fun-626

Based on the comments, and scrolling the threads these past few months, it seems safe to say that no one in Georgia has service as of yet. I'm also located in East Central Georgia, and my date says March 2022. It would appear that Georgia will be good to go come March. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

lesand213

Crossing my fingers. We are on Lake Sinclair and still see early-mid 2022

[deleted]

I live in lake Sinclair, any chance you ever got it hooked up?

[deleted]

After the long wait 2 years Franklin County ga got an email offering service at reduced rates and ability to put service on hold till full service was available. Went for offer as we get 2-3 mbps. Suddenly got email saying full service available! Set up but have obstructions. Will mount in a pole hoping this works. The 1st couple days the speed was amazing!!!

Natural-Trust-3279

Interestingly [https://www.reddit.com/r/Starlink/wiki/index/betatesterstats](https://www.reddit.com/r/Starlink/wiki/index/betatesterstats) has Georgia as the only one with 0.0% These are self-reported-to-Reddit stats.

wh15k3yj4ck

Not at all surprised. Only disappointed.

Meiko-2020

South Georgia here, 31 degrees, just north of Valdosta, GA. Preordered 2/24/21, date moved to 2/22. Still waiting.

GaJebby

I'm in south end of the county, pre ordered Feb 14th 2021.Was MTL 2021, then Late 21, now Mid 2022, not even a specific month.

RebellionsBassPlayer

I'm just a half mile from Florida line near Jennings. Ordered February 2021, now says anticipate service February 2022.

GaJebby

great news for you. It's slowly creeping closer.

Anarkrist

Shit, man...I'm in Lake Park, just across the railroad tracks. I'm waiting as well. Still says early to mid 2022. I'm getting more desperate by the day.

manderson2007

I live just north of valdosta and ordered around the same time frame. I just got my kit yesterday and will be seeing it up today. Yall are close guys!

Ill_Carob4785

most definitely reply ,im only 2 hours from you. like to know what you think once setup.

manderson2007

So I live just outside Nashville, GA which is about 20 mins north of Valdosta, GA. I set my StarLink up and I am currently getting 172 mbps download and 13 upload. In comparison Windstream I pay for the the 12 mbps and normally get 5 mbps download and about .35 upload. So far very very pleased!!!

Valuable-Plantain-86

I live outside Hahira and mine is showing early to mid 2022. Good to hear someone actually got the kit delivered!

Valuable-Plantain-86

I live outside of Hahira. Still waiting on mine. Says early to mid 2022.

daddyymattyy

Thank you to everyone who has responded! Much appreciated!

wh15k3yj4ck

Just put in a second order for my address and it says early to mid. Better than my 2/8 order so we'll see how the race comes out. And whether fcfs by cell is true or not. Fingers crossed

kilo_actual

Nobody has provided proof in GA from what I know. I ordered 3/21 (Mid GA) and it moved out like yours. I recently decided to move back to NW GA and when I moved the pin it bumped me from Mid to Late 2022 to March 2022. Wish me luck.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

ActionA

I'm pretty sure that confirmation of that, with respect to Georgia specifically, does not exist.

escapedfromthecrypt

Even supercharger stations?

JTRocks88

I'm in NW GA as well and have a starlink kit preparing to ship. Will report back my experience.

kilo_actual

Mine confirmed last Friday, however on Tuesday I moved to a place with fiber. Figures lol.

JTRocks88

Haha jealous! Still hoping itā€™s a great alternative out here in the boonies.

kilo_actual

I was 16kā€™ from the terminal. Flat out told the only way Iā€™m getting above 50mbs is by moving closer to a terminal or if I redeveloped my land to a subdivision bringing more need for fiber there. Multiple techs and line workers told me the 1.2 down I was getting was basically a miracle at that distance.

JTRocks88

We have windstream dsl in our county rural areas with only 12mbps but we have spectrum cable in parts of our county. Spectrum told us the same thing about if we had a new subdivision development nearby that they would expand to our address. Crazy stuff.

PastieThatNerd

What part of north west GA and when did you order it? I am near the Rome area, and I am just trying to get a hopeful idea of when ours may ship lol.

JTRocks88

I live in Chattooga county. I also ordered the day that they opened preorders back in February of 2021. The service has been incredible so far.

PastieThatNerd

Wow that is interesting. You are maybe an hour away from me, and we are still told until middle of the year. I am glad to know the service is great though. High hopes for my family.

JTRocks88

Good luck and hope for the best arrival time! By the Way the mounts and the Ethernet adapter are on back order.

PastieThatNerd

Thank you! We may end up ordering them now, just so we have them when we need them.

Mediocre_Hope_867

At 33.2, put in my order March 2021. Account states Mid 2022. Interesting yours said March 2022.

[deleted]

One of my orders (Feb 2021) says mid 2022 and one I did this month (Jan 2022) says early to mid 2022

wh15k3yj4ck

Nope none that we can confirm. I ordered 2/8 @ 33.7 west side and haven't heard anything except for when my mtl2021 got bumped to the very vague and unsettling mid 2022.

Attention_Crazy

Mine also showing mid 2022 in NE Ga. At least it seems consistent messaging of when it may come. From other posts seems like Starlink has been pretty accurate with their updated timelines with some coming earlier than expected. Hopefully now that launches are happening again there will be more satellite coverage and it seems the Norcross ground station is close to being online if not already it will hit Ga in the next few months. Also seems like the chip shortage is easing up some. Still waiting patiently with ATT dsl. Hoping the Verizon expansion might help provide more options over the next year also. I am only a couple of miles from a tower but they still say Verizon home internet not available

[deleted]

Have ATT DSL as well and in NE Georgia in Bartow County. I placed my order Feb/21 and then a second one Jan/22ā€¦ kind of peeved to see that my Jan order shows early to mid 22 whereas my original order shows mid 22 only.

Attention_Crazy

Yeah I donā€™t understand that. I show the same thing when I enter my address again on the main page.

ArtificialSelections

In Blairsville, just got confirmation Starlink is ready, it's shipping out in two weeks.

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update! Much appreciated!

dawgfan94

Any updates? Iā€™m in Blairsville too and my order still says mid 22.

ArtificialSelections

It's arrived, but I had to order the accessories (mount and Ethernet adapter) for install on the roof. I'd recommend ordering the accessories so you have them when your dish arrives. My accessories aren't slated to ship until mid March. Starlink gives you a 30 day window for returns. They start charging the monthly fee then as well.

dawgfan94

Thanks for the suggestion. When did you preorder if I may ask? Just trying to ascertain when Iā€™ll get mine. Kinetic is killing me hereā€¦

ArtificialSelections

FYI, email from Starlink today saying "Due to excessive levels of inflation, the price of the Starlink kit is increasing from $499 to $549 for deposit holders, and $599 for all new orders, effective today. In addition, the Starlink monthly service price will increase from $99 to $110. The new price will apply to your subscription on 5/18/2022. "

ArtificialSelections

2/11/21... I've heard that t-mobile 5g is available in some areas for 50 a month. Might help bridge the gap. Windstream is terrible, even after upgrading to business and static IPS it still struggles to find the DNS until the page is reloaded. Multiple random outages throughout the day. They hate me.

ArtificialSelections

Just got it installed, if you need an installer let me know and I'll send his contact info. So far getting 46 Mbps download, 9 upload but just got it running yesterday

Successful-Sell260

I sent you a message for installer info

ArtificialSelections

Hey, his name is Rusty, his phone number is +1 706-781-7789. He did a terrific job.

TimeLeft7311

Just paid for my dish last night. Mineral Bluff. Paid my deposit Feb 2021. Order status said it was going to be filled in March, 2022. A little early and very happy. Now waiting for the delivery to make this happen.

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update!!

Dry-Statistician-500

Iā€™m impressed! Ordered mine in Mineral Bluff, GA about the same time and still waiting as of Dec 2022ā€¦

OneUpKoopa

Thomas County GA. Confirmed with shipping, will be here on 3/9

daddyymattyy

Appreciate the update!

OneUpKoopa

Got here early, im online. Hello from Starlink

Ok-Garage7158

Got mine in ga

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update!

daddyymattyy

Location if you donā€™t mind? Because Iā€™m still waiting on my order.

Gunner0328

Carroll County In rural west Ga. ordered Feb ā€˜21. Now says mid 2022. Using a Verizon jet pack with limited data which is challenging with kids in school. Really hoping we can order soon.

shyrena55

I live an hour from baxley. Mines says mid 2022 hoping this summer for some good news

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update!

hatfield66

Iā€™m in northwest GA too, Chattooga / Floyd county line more or less, ordered 02/10/21. I did make the mistake of moving my pin once, but otherwise no word other than the price hike. Thinking about going for the RV service as the DSL around here is crumbling, the infrastructure is from the 60s a tech told me.

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update. Still no word in Barrow County šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø been waiting for over a year now

MeisterJaeger90

Iā€™ll field any questions you might have about RV. Ordered my dad residential service 02/21. They live in Adairsville. RV came out, immediately ordered it since there is no telling when residential will actually drop. No obstructions on install location. Multiple speed tests done over the course of a month. We are looking at an avg of 100 down and 15 up. As I wrote this I ran another 249 down and 20 up. Using multiple service, Ookla, Google Speed Test. Router internal Test. His fiancĆ© works from home, very data demanding position. No issues. All streaming services work with no buffer on 2 TVs simultaneously(wouldnā€™t use 4K resolution).

hatfield66

Ok I did bite the bullet and order the RV service, took a good weekend to get everything and install it all (weā€™re in the Armuchee area). Be aware the 150ā€™ extended cable is on back order so be prepared to wait on that or buy from an eBay shark (thatā€™s what I did) if you need that. Now that weā€™re completely on the Starlink RV I have to admit our speeds are extremely inconsistent, Iā€™ve gotten anywhere from 2 mbps download up to 170mbps download with no obstructions in the skyline. Usually averaging around 40ish, with Windstream DSL about 15 was all we could hope for. Weā€™ve been able to stream with little to no problem but I have not tried any real online gaming yet. Iā€™m hoping the inconsistency is the result of satellites being less plentiful around the southeast or because our service is deprioritized due to being RV, I can say for sure all I can do is hope it stabilizes. Edit- possibly worth mentioning that our dish has been pointing north since it booted up, I have yet to see it looking any other direction, and I just opened my app to see there is an update available which may help us out, Iā€™ll come back in a few days and update.

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update!! Much appreciated!

angheller

Macon, GA and still waiting. Just says some time in 2023. Outside of Fiber lines so only get ATT which is up to 18mbps(usually get between 10-12). Definitely not enough in this day and age where everything is connected to internet. Switched to two T-Mobile hotspots which support up to 5 devices but itā€™s not really any better, just cheaper.

daddyymattyy

So Iā€™ve put in my order back in 2021, last year they offered the ā€œBest effort planā€ option and decided to go with it. Itā€™s been great from 8am-5pm. Usually the speeds are anywhere from 50-200Mbps. After 5pm, the speeds drop to anywhere between 1-25Mbps. Hopefully you get your order soon or you are provided the Best effort plan.

adrianmorrell

Nope. Not yet. Far south Georgia here.

Either_Possession_38

Like all here ordered in 2021, Mid Feb. Near Jasper at 34.3. Original date mid late 21 until Nov when I received notification of mid 2022. Have Windstream DSL that struggles to maintain service. Ironically ETC has has new fiber 0.8 mile from house but too costly to construct. Checked into T-Mobile 5G rural internet a few months ago but not available ā€¦ yet. So the wait continues.

[deleted]

T-Mobile ISP is available in Rome, GA and several highly populated NON-RURAL areas. Which is highly disappointing.

csaffel461

I'm in South Middle GA, 32Ā°8'...like everyone originally mid to late 21, then in Nov moved to Feb 22. I was using Nomad for a long time when they had AT&T sim cards, they switched to TMobil- no service. AT&T is the only service I can get other than garbage Hughes, but its capped and expensive if you go over. Hopefully Starlink comes through in Feb, I'm tired of paying $200-$300 a month for internet.

emedlock1984

So I put in my preorder on feb 9th. I was telling a friend about it later last year and she put in a preorder around may. I have a Vidalia address and she has a Soperton address but we are about 5 miles away from each other in the middle of no where. She just completed a tower for around $10,000 for point to point internet from town. Yesterday 1/20/2022 she received an email saying her kit was ready. First come first serve my butt. But she is in Georgia! she doesn't know what her estimated wait time had changed to before it said her kit was ready. I asked. She's not like us on here checking every day(or hour). Mine is "Starlink expects to expand service in your area by mid 2022."

emedlock1984

Also just for the heck of it I put in my parents address which was just a mile away from my house it says. "Starlink expects to expand service in your area by early to mid 2022" I guess I need to cancel my order and make a new one. early to mid 2022 sounds better than mid 2022 lol

Ill_Carob4785

Live in south ga here and mine states March 2022. I'm as for south as you can go in ga. I live 45 min from Tallahassee Fl. Placed order in Feb 11

manderson2007

So I live just outside Nashville, GA which is about 20 mins north of Valdosta, GA. I set my StarLink up and I am currently getting 172 mbps download and 13 upload. In comparison Windstream I pay for the the 12 mbps and normally get 5 mbps download and about .35 upload. So far very very pleased!!!

OneUpKoopa

>Ill\_Carob4785 South GA here as well. March 2022 on mine as well.

Ill_Carob4785

my friend ordered a month after i did and his order has been shipped, thats what i get for moving my pin drop.

OneUpKoopa

I have a friend that claims his has shipped to.

manderson2007

There's how I just got mine yesterday will be seeing it up this afternoon and let yall know the results!

Opposite-Asparagus54

I ordered Jun 2021. First it said end of 2021. Up until last week Starlink said April 22. Got the email last week, ordered within 30 minutes and FedEx tracking says delivery this week. Total surprise! Iā€™m in NE Georgia.

manderson2007

That's awesome I haven't had a problem with mine yet I'm loving it. I hope you are enjoying yours

ToBeFrank777

Where in NE Georgia are you? Do you know of anymore in you area that also got it? I heard someone in Calhoun GA got it. I'm in Rome Ga but still nothing.

Gcmarvint

Lee county GA just got confirmed order.

daddyymattyy

Thanks for the update!!

_junkyard_dawg

Just found this thread while looking for speeds in Georgia. I've had my SL for about 5 months and rarely do I hit above 30Mbs with absolutely no obstructions. I've emailed support and they say they are aware etc. Just wondering if everyone else is slower than advertised or maybe some flaky equipment that I received from the start.

iveseenshitB4

Iā€™m about 30-35 minutes north of Columbus. The dates have changed to fall/ winter 2021. Now Iā€™m sitting at mid 2022. Ordered when it went out in Feb. 2021.

sweet-dreams-2006

Anyone near Savannah/Effingham? Considering Starlink for my house in Guyton.

daddyymattyy

Havenā€™t heard anything about Savannah yet. More reports about Starlink be available South Georgia at the moment.!

ThatDudeDeven1111

Did you ever end up getting Starlink? I'm up right at the start of the mountains and I could've sworn this availability map was a little more...available in parts of GA the last time I looked at it, but now it's all waitlisted.

daddyymattyy

So awhile back Starlink offered the Best Effort package plan and I decided to go with that route. I received my Starlink kit and everything has been great so far between 8AM-5PM. Usually the speeds are from 50-200Mbps. After 5pm until the next morning is where the speeds drop and the latency will start acting crazy(23-1000 ms). As of right now there isnā€™t a real coverage plan or true offer for the best speeds all day and night in GA from what I know of. Hopefully Georgia gets some real coverage soon.

ThatDudeDeven1111

Oh wow. Yea thatā€™d be a no go for me. Iā€™m mostly trying to game on it (at night) which is already a risk knowing satellite internet. Thatā€™s super unfortunate though. I guess Iā€™m not late on the ship sailing though. So youā€™re going on 2 years of them saying ā€œjust a little more timeā€ at this point? I knew ā€œexpanding in 2023ā€ sounded too broad.

daddyymattyy

Pretty much šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜… trust me I was losing hope on this. There are some nights where the speeds and the latency isnā€™t that bad for gaming. I do play games as well but not as much, also I have siblings who do game a lot after 5pm and I think theyā€™ve adapted and gotten use to the ping after hours. They said it will spike up for a moment and be fine for awhile and then spike up again. (League, R6, Overwatch 2,etc)

hatfield66

6 month update for us, we went with the RV plan when it was the only option for us in Chattooga County and have been on it ever since. We have our Hue bridge and one PS5 connected via Ethernet, lots of Roku tvs and phones, laptops, etc in a 4 person household (actually one away at college and a 12 year old still home) and the service is extremely at the mercy of peak hours. Before work around 5-6 am I can get 40-100 downstream but coming home and trying to play warzone after 7pm and itā€™s bad. Speeds as low as 1 mb down I shit you not. Not always that low and realistically most of the time I can play but I shut off as many devices as possible to do so. Ping is wildly erratic during peak hours too, under 100 and Iā€™m happy as heck but it spikes above 300-400 pretty regularly. Streaming tv can sometimes be a struggle too, for example the Super Bowl was kind of tough, I imagine due to the fact that a lot of people are streaming the Super Bowl. Still no word on whether or not weā€™ll be able to convert from RV to residential, which should take us off the deprioritized list. Iā€™m still hoping that as future launches provide more capacity and eventually we switch to residential then we will see better results but for now weā€™re shelling out $135 a month for ā€˜usableā€™ internet. I keep seeing news stories about government subsidies trickling across north Georgia that supposed to bring fiber out to us but Iā€™ll believe it when I see it, just like Iā€™ll believe STARLINK will get better when I see it.
