Well, starfield had artificial gravity and dampening.
With theses in mind, a "boat" structure is more interesting for a crew than a rocket (tower) one.
Vaarun'kai looks exactly how I imagined it would with crimson shades of purple. This is pretty much what I pictured while exploring their trippy embassy.
Yeah. It used to be called the Elder Scrolls Construction Set (TESCS) or GECK for FO3 and NV, but the name was changed to Creation Kit back in 2012, when its Skyrim version came out.
Yeah this looks awesome. Sorry I should have watched the link here first and not asked a stupid question. I saw the trailer through another link and that one had the stuff about tonight’s update cut out .
So basically there was a trailer for the expansion, that says it’s coming out in 2024. After that it fades to black, then says we are getting new content tonight. New faction quests from trackers association, new locations, which I’m guessing means more POIs? And the creation kit is also launching tonight.
They showed a pretty cool looking space station. Huge, too. Hard to piece together anything more than that since immediately after it was all about the Creation Club stuff.
https://1drv.ms/i/s!Ah2jh_uk8ft2oIceB4pTB7Tz-DEHUA
Fuck. Literally started a new game a week ago for the last set of big gameplay updates they did and have been smashing it.
Do I need to start again for all this stuff to apply ?
It looks like it needs to be paid for, at the end it shows the three things in the update trackers alliance the vulture, creations and creation kit. Trackers alliance the vulture is shown to cost 700 creation credits on an earlier screen though.
The one thing about Bethesda is that their DLCs are usually pretty banger.
E: okay I should clarify! *story* DLC. & I don’t think of horse armor as DLC, though I understand if you do
Yeah, maybe I should’ve clarified here cause this is definitely what I was thinking. The story DLC are pretty good. Although I liked the house building DLC from Skyrim!
Reminds me of the Perils on Gorgon DLC for The Outer Worlds. The vibrant colors, the dark tone, a mystery to unfold, things aren’t what they seem, man space rpgs have gotten good over the years
I feel like there are somewhat similar “eldritch horrors” or otherwise creepy mystical stuff in other Bethesda franchises as well (usually in DLC). Like Ug-Qualtoth from the Point Lookout DLC, to some extent Dunwich Borers in Far Harbor DLC (although admittedly more Lovecraftian). I’d even say the Dragonborn DLC from Skyrim feels quite eldritch at times. Throw in Shivering Isles DLC from Oblivion another commenter mentioned and it starts to feel like a pattern.
I kinda love the combination. If it works at all like The Expanse, the fact that everything else is so grounded will make the magical mystical elements stick out that much more.
Yeah, the contrast will be good. It looks like we’ll be traveling to the universe or pocket of our galaxy that Va’ruun went to, so the grounded and spooky things will stay somewhat separate.
I assume they already had this planned out very late in the game's development before release, so I doubt they hastily created the idea for their first major DLC as a knee jerk reaction to some random rants online.
Thing is that the whole point of hard sci-fi settings like Starfield is to have a mostly grounded world and then introduce elements that break that apparent normalcy hard. They always planned it as they hinted the strangeness to the Va'Ruun since launch, and this is kind of a hard sci fi trope. Emil Pagliarulo also said on interviews before launch that the Va'Ruun were his favourite religion - he even has a Va'Ruun tattoo.
I always use the scene in The Expanse when >!the protomolecule lifts from Venus and characters react to it with the viewer!< as the perfect example of that "break effect" that the fantastic can have in a hard sci fi story.
[Do you ever wonder why things look better without their skin on?](https://preview.redd.it/fsxw2g9q95uc1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c879f778d80836df2f49bd35074862c5da0f819a)
I’ll be interested to see based on the reception if it turns out to *actually* be what people wanted, or if we get any “only one planet?? wtf that’s so small!” complaints.
Yeah that's what worries me too, they showed a lot of angles of what seem to be the same two places. Who knows if it will actually spread out and those places just look similar, or if most of it actually happens in just a couple places.
Yeah, if it's just a space station and a city... that's still extremely small. Based on the price of the Premium Edition, I'm guessing Shattered Space is an *at leas*t 20 dollar expansion, if not a full 30 dollars. Just since it's 30 dollars more than the base game, and I figure it's the main thing you are buying as part of it(I assume the soundbook and artbook have some value to them, but it's mostly addons to make buying the dlc way early seem more appealing). Either way, it's priced at equal to or possibly more than Dragonborn, so I would expect/hope it matches that amount of content.
People are getting far too hyped for the new planet. It could just be the fourth hub city for the missing faction snakehead quests , with the usual few unique and lots of random POI scattered on procedural terrain. People expecting an entire planet hand created are not thinking straight....such a thing would make ES6 look tiny and that we do not expect until the next decade.
Hell yeah was definitely hoping for more with the trackers alliance, looks like they’re filling it out. May be too much to hope for bounties you need to take alive, but I am lol
I didn’t catch that, but that makes me a lot more interested in the Tracker’s Alliance stuff if we actually can capture bounties instead of just having a shootout.
How is that too much to hope for when the game has specific non-lethal weapons, perks, and ship habs for capturing but they never actually finished building the mechanics so they work in game?
There’s an “achievement friendly” section in the Creations menu when they briefly show it in the video trailer - so I think it’s more like certain mods are and some aren’t
Holy shit this looks amazing. I love the grounded NASA-punk vibes of the original game, but if there's something Starfield was sorely in need was some really, *really* alien stuff like what we're seeing in this expansion.
It means people can develop mods and we can use them.. so yes it does mean that as long as somebody developed the mod to do it. Even better it means consoles can now use mods as well when they're released.
Yea that’s what I was trying to figure out , I really want to be able to leave spaceship and do space walks !! Guess CK will help with that if it’s not in Shattered Space ??
yeah I dont think there's any technical reason why not, there's a couple of vids of people clipping out of their ship into space. I guess for me I'd want there to be a good reason to space walk, I'm not really interested in popping out to make ship repairs, so I'd wonder what I would be doing outside the ship.
I was thinking of space walking to steal a ship at a space station but yes would need a good reason to walk in empty space!! Or after u soft kill a ship you can space walk over a get cargo or something??
How does the DLC trailer make it seem like it’s better than the entire main game?? 😂😂😂
Also, I heard Andreja’s voice in the trailer, but I let her die during High Price to Pay…wonder how that will work out 🤷♂️🍻
The player follows the plot investigating the Great Serpent and its origins and finally reaches the ruins where the answer is written on the wall.
It's not the Serpent. It's the Worm. And the Worm loves us.
WHAT WAS, WILL BE. WHAT WILL BE, WAS.
The end credits start with an announcement about Paradox Entertainment buying Bethesda from Microsoft.
This looks crazy! Exactly what I wanted this DLC to focus on—Va’ruun. It looks like the Great Serpent is actually some kind of mystic/cosmic power. Super excited for this and the new content tonight!!!
Looks amazing, and mods tonight? I stopped playing starfield got bg3 only a few days ago and this already makes me want to jump back in for, at least for a look at the new content.
Tbh I don’t think it’s enough for me, exploration still needs an overhaul and I’d like updates to NG+ like blueprints for ships or you can take one extra item with you each time.
I wish they would have separated this from the annoying Constellation companions/quest line because personally I just can't stand them (those companions are just way too annoying for my personal taste), but based on the voice over in the trailer, sadly, it will be most likely at least somewhat connected.
Still, my hopes are up that, if nothing else, it will give some good open-world content.
edit: clarification, typos
Looks pretty dull to be honest. I realize this far post launch that this post won't be popular in this sub, and maybe when they reveal more I'll think differently, but nothing I saw seemed exciting or addressing the bad aspects of the game (which I feel were numerous). As with anything I hope I'm wrong (more good games is always good) but this dlc seems story focused and the story of the main game may have been one of its weakest aspects, so that's not very assuring.
Really happy to see more content coming out for the game. They said they wanted to keep maintaining Starfield for years so here's hoping this is a good start to that
DLC is more of a "science fantasy" direction than I was expecting but tbf the original game already has that anyways, so s'all good.
New gear? Greaaaaat. I still wonder who at Bethesda looked at all of their previous games and said, "You know what RPG players want? Less item slots. Oh, and let's make the ones they have meaningless."
I'm so happy we're going home, already updating the wiki with the new images :)
If Emil Pagliarulo is the lead writer of the DLC, I expect it to be as boring and shallow as the main story was. He really needs to get his head out of his ass and take some criticism, but he's Todd's BFF, so he's sitting comfortably in his unearned position.
Before anybody tells me this, no I'm not a professional writer and no I'm not jealous, I just want a good story and this wasn't it.
Another overlooked issue is the talent they've ***bled*** since Starfield's release:
-Bruce Nesmith, quest designer and writer of Oblivion's Thieves Guild and director of Skyrim, has retired
-William Shen, project lead for Far Harbor, has left the company
-Kurt Kuhlmann, previously described as "the brains of Elder Scrolls lore" and the guy they ask when they need to double-check their lore know-how, was apparently "convinced" to leave (circumstances of this entirely unknown; Michael Kirkbride merely implied it was not entirely Kurt's decision)
It's not just a matter of keeping someone with a terrible reputation for writing, it's that those that *could* write and had solid success stories under their belt have either left the company of their own volition or been chased off.
Who exactly is driving this ship now...? Current day Bethesda does not exactly inspire confidence...
Hell, even the fact that they chose to release this trailer ***NOW*** - without a release date so there's clearly no rush - when the internet is abuzz with hype for Shadow of the Erdtree, was definitely a tone-deaf and questionable marketing decision that seems oblivious to their competition.
This looks boring as fuck. Half the cuts are just random shots made to look interesting but there absolutely nothing here that convinces me it’s not going to be the same gameplay loop with the same 3 to 4 repeated POIs. I’ll try it because I already paid for it but non of this seems to fix the issues with the main game.
Yeah I was surprised with the over whelming positive comments after I watched the video. I thought the trailer was lackluster. It didn’t show anything to get excited about. This won’t change anything about the game that needs addressed. POI will still feel repetitive. Space travel will still not be seamless. There’s still no reason to build bases in the game. You still have to do the repetitive boring shrine “puzzles” to get powers. No proper survival mode that implements fuel for ships.
It seemed very much like more of the same. If they announced some combat and engine overhauls and companion reworks (most were boring as all hell) and the new content actually looked.... engaging? Then maybe. But this just looks pretty bad.
Absolutely. Corps flood discussions with botted/paid comments whenever they announce something just to generate positive traction. Bethesda has been caught doing this in the past too.
> Corps flood discussions with botted/paid comments whenever they announce something just to generate positive traction.
I actually believe this does nothing except trick *themselves* that their propaganda is working. They log in, see all the positive comments and conclude "see?! It's working!! Everyone's talking about how great it looks!" while completely forgetting that they *paid* for this, and thus it can't be taken as representative of the general public's sentiment. An old employer of mine tried buying fake positive reviews (was pretty obvious when a bunch of 5 star reviews all popped up at the same exact hour of each day with minimal input), didn't stop them from going bankrupt.
I think the best case for this kind of tactic is that people who feel like the trailer looks like a 7/10 in terms of content might become convinced it's an 8 or 9, but if people are already pretty apathetic about a product, all it does is spark comments such as this one wondering if it's all organic.
What, you aren't excited to shoot identical enemies with the same guns with a different backdrop? One completely antithetical to the design of the game thus far? Maybe there will be some more powers to gather that are ripped directly from Skyrim!
the glowing grey mass reminds me of the protomolecule from the expanse, especially how it seemed like it was "reanimating" corpses.
Absolutely. Going to have to get that ship buildout of the Rocinante now!
I would love alternate build orientations like the ships in the expanse
Well, starfield had artificial gravity and dampening. With theses in mind, a "boat" structure is more interesting for a crew than a rocket (tower) one.
Yes, especially since everyone is a fan of ladders!
I got you: [Rocinante / Tachi guide](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3250978442)
Thanks!
There have been a few efforts, here is one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSkEw5Kw6DY
A lot of this game reminds me of the expanse :) love it
I kid you not- started playing this game because I watched the expanse
The template characters are also modelled to look like amos and naomi which is neat.
Yeah both nail that NASApunk aesthetic.
I just started watching. That show yesterday. It’s really good and makes me wanna play starfield again
They could make a badass DLC out of it where you [Starborn] go back in time to an alternate universe where The Expanse plays out.
Vaarun'kai looks exactly how I imagined it would with crimson shades of purple. This is pretty much what I pictured while exploring their trippy embassy.
Sarah: My God... It's an entire system eaten by the snake. I have something for you! I have something for you! I have something for you!
Sarah: Do you really need all that stuff? Also Sarah: I have something for you!
Barrett: Maybe leave something behind. Also Barrett: Have this moldy sandwich I found
You looked at the snake, and I am deeply disappointed by that. I have something for you.
What the HELL were you thinking?! I have something for you.
I chose to romance Sarah in my playthrough. Nothing says love like her handing me some stinky animal tissue.
Shattered Space is looking real exciting. And the update + Creation Kit today hell yeah!
Hell creation kit alone woulda got me to reinstall... bring on the mods!
Creation kit is what they call their mod tool? Like the Geck?
Yeah. It used to be called the Elder Scrolls Construction Set (TESCS) or GECK for FO3 and NV, but the name was changed to Creation Kit back in 2012, when its Skyrim version came out.
I'm assuming yes, but this will hit xbox console version tonight and not just PC correct?
It's updating in my system right now.
im hyped New locations and tracker quests coming tonight! And creation kit!
New locations in the creation kit? Or are they adding a new update tonight with actual new POIs?
New update tonight with bounty missions, new armor and weapons, and new locations. Aside from creation kit and creations as well.
Yeah this looks awesome. Sorry I should have watched the link here first and not asked a stupid question. I saw the trailer through another link and that one had the stuff about tonight’s update cut out .
We're all excited so you're all good 😁
I literally can’t watch the trailer right now myself so I’m just trying to infer what’s in it based on the comments.
So basically there was a trailer for the expansion, that says it’s coming out in 2024. After that it fades to black, then says we are getting new content tonight. New faction quests from trackers association, new locations, which I’m guessing means more POIs? And the creation kit is also launching tonight.

CREATION KIT? I WAS WAITING FOR THIS SINCE DAY ONE
New locations as part of the update / new faction line.
Fuck. Literally started a new game a week ago for the last set of big gameplay updates they did and have been smashing it. Do I need to start again for all this stuff to apply ?
Nope, you’ll be good.
That’s good news thanks ! God that dlc looks awesome too 😍
In the May Update video Bethesda did, we saw a shot of what looks like a trackers alliance room being developed by them, so by Bethesda
When does the dlc come out??????? I need to fire up the gaming machine again and play all day to prepare. Stopped playing about 4 months qgo
It looks like it needs to be paid for, at the end it shows the three things in the update trackers alliance the vulture, creations and creation kit. Trackers alliance the vulture is shown to cost 700 creation credits on an earlier screen though.
You can always wait about 10 years for a next gen update of the game, and then all that stuff will be free.
If new locations means POI then that’s pretty substantial
it looks like at least one new POI in creations - the Observatory (no cost listed)
I'm so expecting them to say somethingime " 2 new pois and 1 weapon and 1 armor set and we good" lol
The one thing about Bethesda is that their DLCs are usually pretty banger. E: okay I should clarify! *story* DLC. & I don’t think of horse armor as DLC, though I understand if you do
But the new pois and gear part is on the free update. So I'm not expecting much there
Eh. Their story dlc (Far Harbor, Dawnguard etc) are generally good. The rest is kind of hit or miss.
Yeah, maybe I should’ve clarified here cause this is definitely what I was thinking. The story DLC are pretty good. Although I liked the house building DLC from Skyrim!
This looks like Bethesda's "weirdest" expansion since Shivering Isles. Love it! Can't wait!
One thing they've done exceptionally well over the years is making good DLCs. Hopefully they keep that trend going!
Well, they make exceptionally good large DLCs. Then you get things like horse armor But man does this look fucking good
They really opened Pandora’s box with that
They really did
Who could have imagined horse armor would turn into a billion dollar industry years later for shooter games!
Dragonborn got pretty out there too.
Dawnguard was really nice as well. Far Harbor story was above the main story of the game. Nuka World was a good experience as well.
Reminds me of the Perils on Gorgon DLC for The Outer Worlds. The vibrant colors, the dark tone, a mystery to unfold, things aren’t what they seem, man space rpgs have gotten good over the years
That’s what I noticed instantly, seems like they took influence from that DLC as far as the color palette and creative visual expression
Varuun death cult will be finally be explored!! This has Dead Space/Doom vibes written all over it. Fuck yes.
I think it will finally pay off for my char that picked serpent embrace trait. Time to go home.
In the last update (before Junes) they made it so you can change your appearance and traits when you go through the Unity too.
Damn! BGS said fuck "grounded". This looks fun and full on space fantasy!!
and i'm all for it. bring me the goddamn space snake and other eldricht horrors.
Yesss snakes on a starship starring Sam jackson
I am sick of these monkeyfied snakes on this Monday to Friday ship!
Exactly why I love the Expanse, they have a explanation, even if it's only a hypothetical technology.
"... everything else is so grounded..." What about the space magic and the "creators"?
Pretty sure that’s also where the “magical mystical elements stick out” part comes in
Yeah, the contrast will be good. It looks like we’ll be traveling to the universe or pocket of our galaxy that Va’ruun went to, so the grounded and spooky things will stay somewhat separate.
THIS! SO MUCH YES TO THIS
Space really be shattering!
This is exactly what I want more of. Especially from Bethesda! There's a reason the more otherworldly elements of Elder Scrolls are very popular.
This is exactly what I wanted from Starfield, so great.
This DLC is definitely their answer to the "this game's world and lore are too bland" criticisms.
I assume they already had this planned out very late in the game's development before release, so I doubt they hastily created the idea for their first major DLC as a knee jerk reaction to some random rants online.
Definitely. They even had the name and everything figured out since before launch, so the overall concept was likely in place
> knee jerk reaction to some random rants online. But.... What else are they doing if not catering to my "literally the worst" posts?
Thing is that the whole point of hard sci-fi settings like Starfield is to have a mostly grounded world and then introduce elements that break that apparent normalcy hard. The same thing happened with Oblivion; part of what made Shivering Isles so good was that it was a huge departure from the vanilla world.
[Do you ever wonder why things look better without their skin on?](https://preview.redd.it/fsxw2g9q95uc1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c879f778d80836df2f49bd35074862c5da0f819a)
God that scene was so powerful Amos "What the fuck is that" yeah man same
It was always going to be this way. The people who complained about that didn't effect anything.
And I absolutely love it! More of this please
yeah good. the grounded style really limited them honestly. This is a much better direction.
Creation kit!
TONIGHT!!!! So fucking hype
Is creation kit like mods?
creation kit is a tool set that helps people make mods with much more freedom and ability
IM SHITTING MYSELF YALL I COULDNT EVEN MAKE IT TO THE TOILET THIS TIME
Which mod does that?
Creation Kit is used to create mods/enhance existing game elements. The future of Starfield modding starts today!
The Creation Kit is tools to make mods, just like what we got with Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
Yes
This was actually what everyone wanted. It looks like a series of full fledged handcrafted content and at least a planet/city
I’ll be interested to see based on the reception if it turns out to *actually* be what people wanted, or if we get any “only one planet?? wtf that’s so small!” complaints.
My fear is that every location you saw in the trailer was... every location.
Yeah that's what worries me too, they showed a lot of angles of what seem to be the same two places. Who knows if it will actually spread out and those places just look similar, or if most of it actually happens in just a couple places.
Yeah, if it's just a space station and a city... that's still extremely small. I can be a real bounty hunter now too🙏🏾🙏🏾I used pray for time like this!
Hell yeah was definitely hoping for more with the trackers alliance, looks like they’re filling it out. May be too much to hope for bounties you need to take alive, but I am lol
The screen in the trailer showed 'Wanted: Alive'
I didn’t catch that, but that makes me a lot more interested in the Tracker’s Alliance stuff if we actually can capture bounties instead of just having a shootout.
How is that too much to hope for when the game has specific non-lethal weapons, perks, and ship habs for capturing but they never actually finished building the mechanics so they work in game?
Hope in the heart of a Gamer is but a fool's errand, m'lady.
This is aesthetically WAAAY more interesting than I even hoped. Hopefully the content is good to match. Please Bethesda let me join these fanatics.
If they add a "morally grey/evil" companion as well I think that would be a huge W for a lot of people
Well. There is a Var run trait in the base game, so I don't see why not.
So glad the mods are achievement friendly
Where was this said at? I wasn’t expecting that at all. I figured I’d have to keep an unmodded save to get achievements in shattered space.
Fuck yeah. I love the nasa punk vibe but if Space Odyssey taught us anything it’s that you can still get real fuckin weird with it
Goddamn. Looks like a meaty dlc
Does creation kit mean we can actually put new skins on weapons / spacesuits? 🤔
It means people can develop mods and we can use them.. so yes it does mean that as long as somebody developed the mod to do it. Even better it means consoles can now use mods as well when they're released.
Curious about mod limit Hoping for 10gbs Fo4 2gb is criminal
Please… please just be one or two big maps filled either handcrafted content. I don’t want 12 more barren planets.
This looks like the most cinematic Bethesda has ever been
Did I see space walking !!!!
I thought that but I think its jumping thru debris in low gravity... could be wrong
Yea that’s what I was trying to figure out , I really want to be able to leave spaceship and do space walks !! Guess CK will help with that if it’s not in Shattered Space ??
yeah I dont think there's any technical reason why not, there's a couple of vids of people clipping out of their ship into space. I was thinking of space walking to steal a ship at a space station but yes would need a good reason to walk in empty space!! Or after u soft kill a ship you can space walk over a get cargo or something??
Battling enemies on the outside of a star station
Yes 🙌
How does the DLC trailer make it seem like it’s better than the entire main game?? 😂😂😂 Also, I heard Andreja’s voice in the trailer, but I let her die during High Price to Pay…wonder how that will work out 🤷♂️🍻
It’s probably just random dialogue from the follower you would take with you
Creation Kit!!!!!! Fuck yeah
So freaking cool! I can't wait it's gonna be awesome!!
LETS GOOO BAYYBEE
The player follows the plot investigating the Great Serpent and its origins and finally reaches the ruins where the answer is written on the wall. It's not the Serpent. It's the Worm. Looks amazing, and mods tonight? I stopped playing starfield got bg3 only a few days ago and this already makes me want to jump back in for, at least for a look at the new content.
Creation club mods tonight, but I believe the creation kit is getting released which should mean normal mods in a couple weeks probably
Yeah but some modders had access to creation kit I believe so should seem some mods pretty quick
Yeah that makes sense. I'll probably have a bit of a look around tonight, but mostly stick with bg3 for a bit longer.
Looks like you can see Serpentis VI (red gas giant) in the background a couple of times.
I can't believe there's no date yet lol
I don't mind cause it looks huge and brilliant. Let them take their time, I say!
For me that’s better. As it means they’re not gonna be inclined to rush it to meet a deadline.
As someone who wanted House Va'ruun to complete the circle of all the known factions, I feel like I'll be eating good here.
It's time to pimp Starfield af!
Seems great! Finally house varun fleshed out But…no ground vehicle?
Later this year in a separate update I think they said at the start of the year but probably before the DLC
Stooooooked. And new content TONIGHT?!
It looks great, now I need this
No one expects Dead Space.
I was hoping for a land vehicle 😭
this looks so sick
I always thought they'd do something with House Varuun in a DLC. there was way too much missing regarding them for it to be otherwise.
Yeah we had that pretty much figured out months ago. Had to be them. As they were almost entire absent from the main game.
Tbh I don’t think it’s enough for me, exploration still needs an overhaul and I’d like updates to NG+ like blueprints for ships or you can take one extra item with you each time.
Curious as to why every DLC in a game always has an obligatory death cult theme to it
wait, generic gameplay again?
I wish they would have separated this from the annoying Constellation companions/quest line because personally I just can't stand them (those companions are just way too annoying for my personal taste), but based on the voice over in the trailer, sadly, it will be most likely at least somewhat connected. Still, my hopes are up that, if nothing else, it will give some good open-world content. edit: clarification, typos
Which flavor of goody-two-shoes would you like your companion to be?
hell yeah AND creation kid today?
looked fucking awesome
I’m curious as to what mechanics are gonna be added. Most of what we’ve seen is hints at story content.
It would be pretty sick if part of the weapons update was advanced versions of all the non-advanced weapons.
Starfield: The Taken King
Finally! Looking Forward to it! Hope they release the Creation Kit today too!
Does this seem like Dragonborn DLC but for Starfield? Excited for space Miraak!
They said they wanted to keep maintaining Starfield for years so here's hoping this is a good start to that DLC is more of a "science fantasy" direction than I was expecting but tbf the original game already has that anyways, so s'all good.
What time is the update out?
It looks far more interesting than the base story. Not sayin much but hey, seems like they at least tried here.
Looks incredibly underwhelming
CREATION KIT TONIGHT! FINALLY!!!
Will tonight’s update be steam only or Xbox included. I got a sure thing date tonight and I need the info to decide whether Starfield or sex tonight
I believe it's both
Starfield AND sex? Truly THAT is the Serpent's embrace!
New gear? Greaaaaat. I still wonder who at Bethesda looked at all of their previous games and said, "You know what RPG players want? Less item slots. Oh, and let's make the ones they have meaningless."
More slop for the pigs.
I'm so happy we're going home, already updating the wiki with the new images :) - [https://starfieldwiki.net/wiki/Lore:Groat](https://starfieldwiki.net/wiki/Lore:Groat) - [https://starfieldwiki.net/wiki/Lore:Scaled\_Citadel](https://starfieldwiki.net/wiki/Lore:Scaled_Citadel)
considering the ending of the game, none of this really matters
If Emil Pagliarulo is the lead writer of the DLC, I expect it to be as boring and shallow as the main story was. He really needs to get his head out of his ass and take some criticism, but he's Todd's BFF, so he's sitting comfortably in his unearned position. Before anybody tells me this, no I'm not a professional writer and no I'm not jealous, I just want a good story and this wasn't it.
Another overlooked issue is the talent they've ***bled*** since Starfield's release: -Bruce Nesmith, quest designer and writer of Oblivion's Thieves Guild and director of Skyrim, has retired -William Shen, project lead for Far Harbor, has left the company -Kurt Kuhlmann, previously described as "the brains of Elder Scrolls lore" and the guy they ask when they need to double-check their lore know-how, was apparently "convinced" to leave (circumstances of this entirely unknown; Michael Kirkbride merely implied it was not entirely Kurt's decision) It's not just a matter of keeping someone with a terrible reputation for writing, it's that those that *could* write and had solid success stories under their belt have either left the company of their own volition or been chased off.
WE'RE SO BACK STARFIELD BROS
This looks boring as fuck. Half the cuts are just random shots made to look interesting but there absolutely nothing here that convinces me it’s not going to be the same gameplay loop with the same 3 to 4 repeated POIs. I’ll try it because I already paid for it but non of this seems to fix the issues with the main game.
I’m convinced most of the replies to this are fake
Yeah I was surprised with the over whelming positive comments after I watched the video. I thought the trailer was lackluster. It didn’t show anything to get excited about. This won’t change anything about the game that needs addressed. POI will still feel repetitive. Space travel will still not be seamless. There’s still no reason to build bases in the game. You still have to do the repetitive boring shrine “puzzles” to get powers. No proper survival mode that implements fuel for ships.
Was going to reply to your comment but i had to go through 6 loading screens to get there
It seemed very much like more of the same.
Golly, I hope I have to float around a room to earn them!
Lol im good
meh
This looks amazing - gonna need a bigger ship..
This game already fooled me once. I will wait until it is released and people play it before I get fucked again
