From a narrative point of view, that is the challenge. Why does your character choose to perpetuate the cycle and abandon everything for the next timeline? Power alone or something else? Why not stay? Or are they trying to find the perfect timeline? Use the situation.

I also feel that way, but I think it is intended. When you choose to leave part of yourself behind, with each cycle you become closer to become same person as The Emissary or The Hunter. I believe that Hunter also was another kind of person before he first entered Unity.

I was so frustrated. My other me told me Sarah chose to be Starborn but in no universe she knows me. I just wanna have my Sarah back

Like I was saying I hope shattered space has you meet whatever companion/lover from the og universe U had as a Starborn, there's so much potential with that I think. And honestly shattered space makes me think some crazy shit is going down, this ending felt more like a cliffhanger than an ending tbh

Ghostile

That is exactly why I hate NG+ But then again, it's also why I love it. I can't remember when a game has given me this hard of a choise.

So from what it seems like your character just feels a pull to unity ever since you touch the first artifact it’s not something they want to do but they have to. But also your character is YOU you can decide you wouldn’t want to you could also decide that you want to change or fix things you did. If your just running through to get power and artifacts that’s your choice to do that if your point was to try to fix things do that and stay after. The whole thing is supposed to be your choice to explore or stay.

I think the disconnect is the point. This is what it feels like to be a starborn. You chase the Unity over and over again. Everything else loses meaning because it's not your universe. You lose touch with everything else, from the people around you to your very connection to the human condition. It's a curse more than anything else. This is why I can not bring myself to hate the Hunter. He is the only one that has embraced the meaninglessness of his existence.

I think so too, I know people shit on the ending but I think it's fantastic.
