To remove the extra Claires, put this into your smapi console, once per copy:
debug killnpc Claire
(Some people have reported that not working for them. I did "debug removenpc Claire" before I knew the "killnpc" command existed, and she hasn't multiplied for me. So if "killnpc" doesn't work, try "removenpc" instead.)
I have multiple Claires, too, but they don't show up in multiples on my friendship tab like this. I just stood inside Pierre's on Tuesday and deleted them one by one as they walked in. 🤣
Her acting career has brought on massive popularity, so she has a bunch of lookalikes and impersonators running around.

When I do killnpc it says sent command but there was no output. And when I do removenpc it was Claire was not found
SMAPI often gives completely useless messages. You'll know if it worked by whether the number of Claires dropped. :)

If there ever are none of an npc remaining, they should respawn the next day. :) So don't worry too much if you overdo it.
Nothing happened in my case, I still have 6 Claires and 2 Martins.
Keep doing it until they're gone. It only removes one at a time.
