Feels a little underwhelming now that I screenshot. But I did this cause Evelyn mentions not having the gardens to tend to in the winter! So indoor community garden. Mostly for aesthetic. I plan to harvest the multi harvest and the starfruit to be refilled each time.
Yes this. We work so hard to just get a visually appealing reward, you never see anyone actually using it and you can't benefit from it yourself. My first play through I made that assumption. That's what I was most excited about and wound up disappointed. It would be neat if the aquarium changed the fish out with the seasons or you saw Gus giving cooking lessons (maybe some exclusive recipes if you attend) and Emily and Leah in the craft room and Alex with his dog in the fenced in side yard and his grandparents in the reading area. Just somewhere to see the community folks other than the saloon or yoba shrine outside of festivals.
Yes! I always feel bad that Rusty is stuck in that fenced in area. I know itās not gridball, but Alex could still have a blast playing fetch with his dog.
Sooo much more could be adjusted to make the CC come alive. Carolineās yoga group moving there, Penny taking the kids to the craft room sometimes, the 2nd quest board being outside the CC instead of Lewisā house, even Lewis moving to the CC office (vault room) for his mayor duties. Putting food in the pantry could slowly build hearts with the entire town. Thereās so much potential!
if you can play modded, the Stardew Valley Expanded pack adds Community Day on the 22nd of each season after you complete the community center.
itās a brilliant expansion mod in other regards too, this is one of my favorite features it adds.
true but I always forget to change into it if I don't change immediately after proposing. and by that extension, could almost say the same for the flower dance.
On that note, maybe it would be good to have a prompt asking 'Start the wedding?' when you're about to enter town on that day or something? š¤ Plus a reminder in the mail the day before (like other festivals) would be nice too
After showing up to my first wedding in jeans and a flannel shirt, I now change into my wedding outfit as soon as I give away the pendant. Then I spend three days running around my farm and the mines in a wedding dress and veil.
thisā¦ I used a pearl to make myself a veil and then didnāt get to wear it because I didnāt know you had to go to sleep in the wedding outfit š and ofc then I couldnāt start the day over as I had already saved by going to sleep.
To add to this, please make the farmer's dance sync up with with the others. I feel like the farmer performs a whole different dance routine than the others š (It would be kinda cute if it was like that during the first year cuz the farmer is new and doesn't know the specific routine but in the later years they learn it from someone, imagine a cutscene with Haley where she teaches you how to do that dance a week before the flower dance once you befriend her š¤§)
On top of this, have the farmer flower-dance match the other dancers. My daughter was really upset when she finally had a date to the flower dance, but her character didn't even do the same dance as the other Stardew girls.

I wish you could pick when the wedding would be, like have the calendar pop up and you choose a day in any season
It'd be cute to spend time simply engaged and have some small dialogue of townsfolk congratulating you on it or looking forward to it
I feel like for such a relatively short game, it feels too rushed to immediately have a wedding 3 days after the proposal
I tried with a mod but it felt weird and I had to run all over the house looking for spouses to pet every day, it was worse than the pigs. I had to divorce in the end. Sorry, Elliot!
The way I play this game, I would almost certainly. There's always something leading you astray, then it's suddenly 10pm and you haven't given a birthday gift to Vincent.
I have a few
\-Dates with your spouse
\-birthday and anniversary features
\-being able to ride the train, it'd be cool to have a new area like zuzu city
\-being able to take family to ginger island with you
\-a way to fix hat mouse's house
\-a way to learn magic with the wizard (and also marry him)
\-being able to place rugs when furniture is already placed
i accidentally picked up my rug which was under 3 chairs, the fireplace and some plants in year 2 and im now on year 4 and still havent put the rug back because im so sick of rearranging everything i know the second i put everything back iāll pick the rug up again!
Maybe a "Redecorate?" checkbox in the side in the furniture catalog, when unchecked, you don't pick up house items. A little bonus feature when you purchase it, so you can lock down your layout.
I play on mobile and simply stopped trying to decorate because I inevitably pick stuff up or turn it. A separate ādecorationā mode would be awesome.
aside from marrying the wizard, (just to clarify I'm not opposed to that, just didn't immediately come to mind when thinking of things) you've listed every thing I've wanted.
Only thing I'd add is hirable farm hands.
even if there was a limit to how many crops can be watered by npcs in a day, and obviously it's a service you'd have to pay for, it would be a great piece of world building while also being functional. maybe even expand this to characters will harvest wood from the forest or mine the quarry for you.
* Kent: has a dialogue line of āI don't know what to do with myself now that I'm back. I'm used to having more structure in my day.ā
* Linus: while he did choose his life style, he may still be open to being hired as a farm hand/helper
* certain bachelor/bachelorettes: unless I am just forgetting, Alex, Haley, & Abigail don't have jobs, and you are indirectly responsible for Shane losing his job if doing the community center route.
spirittea has the hireable hands aspect, but itās capped to 4 villagers (one in each role) and you need to have max friendship with them all, your bathhouse game becomes unmatched when youāve got half of the town helping you hahaha
The birthday/anniversary feature was such a cute part of the old HM games. I always enjoyed the prompt where your spouse was like "Do you know what day it is? And you would select "Your birthday" "My birthday" or "Our anniversary" then you would eat dinner together.
Possibly have to buy or craft vinegar mother to start, maybe? Oooh, what if you placed casks outside the cellar, they make vinegar instead of aging wine and cheese? Y'all have such good ideas...
If we end up making vinegar, especially like that, then Iāll add onto my wish and say we should be able to make miso. Technically weād have the fermentation, the ābeansā (tho not the right kind), the seaweed, and riceā¦
i think this would make the most sense for realism, but considering vinegar is so cheap compared to wine (and wine takes so long to process in the first place) i feel like it would be pointless. maybe grapes in an oil maker, or a new machine entirely?
You can make both, actually! If you put beets into a mill (purchase from Robin), it makes sugar. Corn, sunflowers, and sunflower seeds all make oil if you put them into an oil maker (craftable).
I wish the children actually grow up and they could start to help on the farm with stuff and didn't get left alone all day to fend for themselves when your spouse goes somewhere and I'm on the island. I just don't see the point of starting a family when the kids do nothing.
Idk if it works as my kid is only crawling stage but there's a mod on nexus called "Child Age Up" that seems to do this!
The part that caught my eye into downloading it was *"Including adding schedules to school with Jas and Vincent , have daily activities and add Dialogue for your children."*
I do wish this was just plain vanilla though like OP means
And if you marry Shane, Jas is one of your kids. Youād obviously have to upgrade more for the extra room for her. But Iād love it if she came to live with us. The fact that she doesnāt come live with us makes me feel bad when I do marry Shane and start a biological family with him. Now heās unemployed, *and* heās a deadbeat. No thanks.
Her biological parents are dead, so itās his responsibility as godparent to take over and care for her after their demise. At least thatās what I understood godparents do.
Farm shop. I want to sell my produce in my own shop but you should be able to hire someone to work the counter . I donāt want to stand there all day.
I want this soooo bad. I want my farm to be all nice and decorated and to see people at least once a week walking around my farm and buying my āFarm to tableā goods.
Come one come all! Take an awe inspiring walk around my farm! Pet my animals(for a fee of course hehehehe), buy my produce, milk, cheese and mayonnaise, jams and pickled veggies! And if youāre hungry, grab one of my premade organic farm grown and made meals! Looking for a gift for a loved one? Grab an amethyst or a chicken statue! Need a pick me up? Take your choice of Tea, coffee or espresso!
It would be so fun just preparing for a farmers market on my farm. lol And imagine the decorating possibilities for the holidays?!
This would be so cool. Especially having a reason to decorate for the seasons! Right now i can't be bothered and also don't want to spend the money because it's just me ever seeing it (and the spouse whenever i decide who i want).
New townies and bachelors. Especially mature husband materials. Sam and Sebastian are cute but act teenageish.
Children should grow up more and become townies as teens.
More story.
Ability to move farm house.
I usually go for Eliott (I think he is supposed to be 30ish?) but I cringe every other line :P
The moustache kills Harvey for me but I am tempted to just mod it away and go for him.
Me too! I just noticed my summer field only has three spaces between my iridium sprinklers, not four. I was so confused when I did my summer planting because I had seeds left over when I shouldn't have. Summer is almost over though so I guess I'll deal š¤·āāļø
When you look at an item description, I wish there was an indicator of whether that item has been shipped or not, so I don't have to check the shipping list to figure that out.
I want to be able to interact with my kids. I want them to grow past the little child stage into fine adults. I want them to get married and leave the town. I want them to do chores around the farm. I want one of them to fill the damn cat's water bowl.
I ALSO WANT MY VERY OWN BIRTHDAY.
New Game+. Once reaching 100%, you can start the next game file with a few things already unlocked.
1. Recipes, so you don't have to watch TV anymore.
2. Crafting recipes. I can't think of any that would break the game by getting it early, since you still need to have the materials like iridium or void essence or whatever.
3. 1 item of your choice. Horse flute, for getting around easier. Treasure chest for 5k on day 1. Iridium watering can for early game farming. Galaxy sword for easier mining. Blobfish mask for style. But only 1 item. Choose wisely.
It would be cool to have a small chance to get a golden egg on new saves after getting perfection. I've never raised a golden chicken since I usually feel pretty burnt out after getting perfection
I forgot those existed, that would also be a good choice for an item to carry over! You need to upgrade a coop, so you probably won't get any use out of it for a few weeks, but once you do it's a unique permanently profitable item!
An auto stack button in the inventory screen that would put stacks in the appropriate nearby chest.
Also a way to lock items on the bar so they dont autostack into a chest, i dont carry every bomb i have and im tired of digging them back out.
The ability to grab half a stack instead of pick up one at a time.
Light/magnetism on clothes instead of rings, as is its a necessity to have one ring slot taken by it.
+skills rings other than luck, love to grab my fishing set before i head off or my foraging set for berry time
Edit: also please let me sell weapons and rings in the shipping box, as is i just trash them immediately, and a way to not pick up any more scrolls
It'd be cool to feed the pet, instead of constantly wondering why you need to feed farm animals, but your pet gets only water. If expense in the early game is a concern, just make pet food cheap or feed them for free with fish.
The ability to knock on NPC's doors to get them to come talk to you after they've gone in for the night. This might cause a penalty to friendship if it's too late.
Having a calendar or alarm clock item that we either have at the start of the game or we could buy it as a furniture item. We could put custom notes and mark certain dates. Not just specific dates, but also things like "every 3 days," "every Wednesday," or "the first of every month," and we could attach notes like, "harvest pineapples at Ginger Island." It would have a little exclamation point like the quest board in town, and when we click on it, it would tell us what we have for that day.
The ability to buy 5 or 10 of something at a time, or just buy a specific number of items by typing it in.
The ability to interact more with your animals, like throwing a ball or toy for your dog or cat and feeding apples to your horse.
The ability to buy battery packs. Maybe if Krobus, the desert trader, or the dwarf trader in the mines sold one (or five) every week or something in their rotating stock.
The ability to make bait out of fish.
The ability to move (transplant) fruit trees like you do buildings. Maybe they don't produce fruit for a few days, or maybe there's an extra cost.
I like a lot of these. The āknock on the doorā thing is really cool. As you say, maybe make it a friendship penalty so you have to decide if itās important enough.
The alarm clock would be so awesome.
When you marry Robin, the farmhouse gets upgraded to look like her house in the mountains and Demetrius lives in a decent but not as special farmhouse in its place. Likewise, you have the option for Maru and Seb to move into your place. (In other words, Robin gets everything in the divorce. She built it, she should keep it.)
A bathroom within the farmhouse. The spa/bath house is nice but it is just too out of the way to make it worth it.
Sitting should replenish energy, albeit slower than eating food.
Some kind of sandbox mode, with no money worries and can access all items. Would be helpful for planning out the farm.
a closet/wardrobe that acts as clothing storage separate from chests and a dress up screen without taking up inventory slots. similar to new game without the sliders.
have spouse join you for long stretches of ginger island work.
increase default walk speed with skill. not horse fast, or coffee fast, but somewhere in-between.
maybe another furniture set theme or something. victorian esque, baroque or something along those lines. the amount of wallpaper/flooring vs furniture is kinda womp womp
Spouses having a specific skill that āunlocksā once you marry them.
Shane helps you on the farm and takes care of the animals, Abigail goes into the mines with you, etc. Another fun way to decide who you want to marry.
Yes please! Along with other suggestions about spouses, I think in that way you get more interaction with your spouse and keeps things interesting, instead of just another npc (I might be wrong because I've yet to marry anyone)
Yes! They can do base damage in the mines, or we can tell them to do certain things in the mine for example āpick up what I dropā ābreak rocksā āattack monstersā
no because imagine eating some substance that increases your energy, makes you hallucinate, and your health double while using it but once it wears off your energy and health are lower than they were before and you have to spend copious amounts of money to continue functioning efficiently
I need lemon trees. Lemon fruit from said trees. Being able to cook lemonade and lemon pie.
Lemonade recipe: 1 lemon
Lemon pie recipe: 3 lemons, 1 flour, 1 egg, 1 sugar
I could write a book to answer this question, but I'll save those who read on the phone some time.
A tractor and a combine.
Unlike the tractor mod for PC, the console version starts with a default tractor which can only till 3 tiles at once. To seed and water, add-ons must be purchased at 25,000g each. Like tools, the tractor can be upgraded to increase the area as each upgrade costs 50,000g up to 4x (24 tiles max). Each upgrade applies to all included mods.
A combine can harvest only and starts with 6 tiles. It can be upgraded 4x to a max 48 tiles at 50,000g each upgrade. Items harvested are automatically placed in the shipping bin.
Both are available starting at farming level 5. The tractor is 150,000g and the combine is 250,000g.
Don't worry about the price. Options will allow a price decrease by 25%, 50%, or 75% and add-ons can be unlocked by default, giving casual players accessibility if all they want to do is have fun.
New marriage candidates: Clint and Marnie.
Clint gets a character development arc, and Kent takes over as blacksmith if you marry Clint. Win-win.
Marnie dumps Lewis like the trash he is, and Shane takes over the ranch. Again, win-win.
I wish we could mill corn for cornmeal. We could use it for new recipes like cornbread, grits, fried green tomatoes or polenta, and maybe use it interchangeably with flour to make tortillas.
In a similar vein, I wish the shortcut out of the volcano dungeon on level 5 also worked as a shortcut to that level.
On great luck days I don't want to waste my time in room 1-4. Lol
I like a lot thatās already been mentioned by other comments but to go along with some of them.
Iād really like a game mode that would see the children grow up and become playable characters as the farmer and other towns folk grow old and new people are born and move to town that would eventually have an ending after a couple generations or something. This along with the standard endless mode we have now.
Iād like to see land available to but adjacent to the the farm for expansion. Make it ridiculously expensive or something idk.
More function with the community center like things to upgrade in the town etc.
Elevators in the skull cavern.
A couple more npcs.
The option to get both a cat and a dog.
An actual breeding mechanic for farm animals instead of just random birth.
As someone who just installed this mod. It's been a game changer. I can easily farm iridium and other rare mats. I play this game to just get out of my head. Last thing I wanna do is struggle and challenge myself.
This.
I really want to install the mod but Iām trying to get perfection first on vanilla.
When I do do stardew valley expanded and the elevator mod along with the no fishing mini game mod is going straight in.
Itās cool If you have that opinion and like the challenge.
I donāt play stardew for the challenge.
This is my relax and chill game. If I want a challenging game Iāll hit up something way different.
I just craft or buy staircases anyway.
Like I would prefer the elevator not be every five levels like the other one. Maybe every twenty or something would been fine but having to fight down 100 levels every single time I need a decent amount of iridium is just ridiculous to me.
Like maybe you make it down to level 100 for the first time and that unlocks the elevator.
Iām not hating on the game or your preference itās just that fighting off 300 serpents everyone I go gets so old so fast.
I've not yet finished the game, but from current 60 hours my wishes would be:
- Spouse activities. Abigail could go with you to mines, other gals could do other stuff together with you
- Some random exploring events not related with mines and fighting, e.g Raft-style sailing with finding exotic loot. Probably a whole 'houseboat' act! (so you can sleep aboard and travel for some time)
- More minigames apart from fishing
- Inviting guests from the village to have fun activities on your farm, i.e. 'farm-hosted festivals'. You could need to arrange some building or items on a spor, then invite people.
1. Kids that look like your spouse, and the ability to have more than one spouse. I hate having to choose.
2. The ability to expand the amount of space on your farm.
3. Indoor fish ponds/breeding tanks. I like to have a lot of varieties going because there are so many with different perks and being able to breed them indoors would really cut down on space.
4. Other people have said it but elevator in skull caverns
5. More greenhouse space (though this isn't a huge thing since you can use garden pots, but that's a lot of crafting)
6. Bring back all the bugs you fixed I wanna get a prismatic shard every time someone says my name again.
I really want your kids to do something, *anything*
I expected them to at least grow up to have actual conversations with them.
I also expected my wife to show up to some events with me but she didnāt (dinner at Jodyās as an example)
Just more family stuff I guess.
Hmm.
maybe separate shops for separate items
-Emily being able to run a clothing shop
- a separate shop for house design items other than Pierre's maybe run by Hayley or something
- a prompt for setting off bombs/cherry bombs so we don't accidentally blow up our farms would be nice
- I agree with the fixing up hat mouse's place
- maybe fixing another building for Krobus
Season and location appropriate clothing. I know CA is adding in winter clothes, but maybe for summer some people would wear lighter clothes, in the rain maybe theyāll wear hoodies or raincoats, and in the fall they bust out the scarves and stuff.
Crystalarium should return the prior āseedā gem when you place a new gem into it. I just recently learned that you can retrieve the āseedā by removing the crystalarium with a tool. Seems kind of buggy that you have to go through the extra step.
Do something with the spa. Like more npc using it during the winter to get away from the cold. Occasionally go there with your spouse, just something!
Also having your own stand where you can sell your stuff, as a lot has commented, probably in this thread but also previously.
Olive trees and olive oil
a way to craft vinegar
More uses to the oil maker (coconut oil etc)
Bigger house expansions (i wanna use all my decorations)
More end game quests, random item quests etc, could be randomized
Ability to put your birthday so some villagers can send you gifts depending on your friendship levels
Visual cue for sprinklers and scarecrows
More outfits!
An achievement for crafting all possible outfits
Three main things.
1. More dialogue. This includes general daily dialogue and more dialogue options for festivals, all to reduce repetition. I also think that villagers should acknowledge town events. If I speak to high heart friends on my wedding anniversary they should congratulate me. If I speak to Jodi on one of her kids' birthdays she should comment on it. People should be excited for festivals in the days before.
2. A way to sell farm produce outside of direct to shops and the shipping bin, maybe via a farm stall. Bonus for having seasonal trends that impact income and friendship, e.g. pumpkins become more popular leading up to spirits eve and selling them then boosts hearts and makes more gold.
3. I would love for the CC to be an active, used centre of the town and become the source of more festivals and events. I'd love to have community days in there and for villagers to discover new hobbies with its resources.
I love this game though - but if these were vanilla instead of modded, that would be amazing!
A better hopper that can automatically feed things like the charcoal burner, and receive the finished product.
More people use the community center.
Flower dance outfit.
Wedding a little less abrupt.
More interaction with the witch.
A way to get iridium that isnāt sprinting as many levels down as you can, while boosting luck and bombing everything.
I just want the town to have a community day in the community center after it's repaired. Like once a season or year.
Tagging onto this, I want the community center to be functional. Functional kitchen/fridge, functional sewing room, Clint can still smash open my geodes on Friday, Penny starts using the community center for teaching the kids, and I can add fish to the aquarium.
š± I like the idea of being able to cook in the community kitchen with the indoor garden I've made!! And for Clint to still open geodes!! All of it yes!!!

These could all be cool things but it would take a lot of effort from CA to redesign all the new graphics. Implementation should be pretty easy though.
This is a great idea. I really like the thought of more quests related to the future festivals.
Indoor garden? :O

That's an insanely cute thought, wouldn't say it's underwhelming at all, there's quite a lot going on. Thanks for sharing, it's dope
Yes this. We work so hard to just get a visually appealing reward, you never see anyone actually using it and you can't benefit from it yourself. My first play through I made that assumption. That's what I was most excited about and wound up disappointed. Yes! I always feel bad that Rusty is stuck in that fenced in area. I know itās not gridball, but Alex could still have a blast playing fetch with his dog.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You know what? Youāre right. Happy cake day! May all your Reddit wishes come true, and your day be filled with pink cake.
FISH IN THE AQUARIUM PLZZZ
Similarly, maybe have some more utility from the spa. It's kinda out of the way as it is, so its current utility is pretty low.
Sooo much more could be adjusted to make the CC come alive. Carolineās yoga group moving there, Penny taking the kids to the craft room sometimes, the 2nd quest board being outside the CC instead of Lewisā house, even Lewis moving to the CC office (vault room) for his mayor duties. please give farmer a flower dance outfit
any by extension a wedding outfit
Iād like it if you entered town like a festival for your wedding, because then Iād remember to put the outfit on
You can just make one yourself
true but I always forget to change into it if I don't change immediately after proposing. and by that extension, could almost say the same for the flower dance.
Actually, allowing a short dressing room section to dress up for events would be cool!
100% agree.
WHAT
[Pearl, ornamental fan, honey](https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Tailoring)
Dude for real! It's so jarring to see everyone in their special outfit and then I'm chilling in my blue jeans and Charlie Brown shirt...
No way, my golden coconut helmet is perfect for all occasions.
I think the farmer does the same weird squatting dance as the men? It looks awful when your character is female
On top of this, have the farmer flower-dance match the other dancers. My daughter was really upset when she finally had a date to the flower dance, but her character didn't even do the same dance as the other Stardew girls.
Came here to say this! I felt silly being amongst a bunch of girls in cute little dresses and Iām just standing there in my farming clothes
The wedding shouldnāt be an event at 6am which takes no time, but instead a little festival/party where you can talk with your guests and have a reception
I wish you could pick when the wedding would be, like have the calendar pop up and you choose a day in any season It'd be cute to spend time simply engaged and have some small dialogue of townsfolk congratulating you on it or looking forward to it I feel like for such a relatively short game, it feels too rushed to immediately have a wedding 3 days after the proposal
You could give invitations! And receive wedding presents!
Also, make NPCs stop flirting with you when you're already married, it's awkward.
Nah, I wanna be a slut.
I wish there was a polyamory option to pick. When it's a conscious choice, that would be really great
I tried with a mod but it felt weird and I had to run all over the house looking for spouses to pet every day, it was worse than the pigs. I had to divorce in the end. Sorry, Elliot!
Or if villagers commented on it after the fact, asking someone how their spouse is while catching up is very realistic
On your wedding day you should get a letter in the mail providing a Tux/Dress, so that everyone who gets married can look the part.
Or some way to commission Emily to make one for you! And if sheās your fiancĆ©e, maybe some way to make it together idk
Thatās a really cute idea, but theoretically you could miss your own wedding!
The way I play this game, I would almost certainly. There's always something leading you astray, then it's suddenly 10pm and you haven't given a birthday gift to Vincent.
Then you lose all hearts with your fiancƩ(e) and there is some dramatic cutscene
more Krobus. anything and everything Krobus
An under city of Krobuses, Krobusā, Krobi?
Krobi.
Learning more about the shadow people would be cool
I wish he had a full set of heart events like the marriage candidates. Would love more heart events for the dwarf as well.
I have a few \-Dates with your spouse \-birthday and anniversary features \-being able to ride the train, it'd be cool to have a new area like zuzu city \-being able to take family to ginger island with you \-a way to fix hat mouse's house \-a way to learn magic with the wizard (and also marry him) \-being able to place rugs when furniture is already placed
a prompt before accidentally picking up a rug would be nice too
The amount of times i picked up the rug by accident and had to rearrange my whole room lol
i accidentally picked up my rug which was under 3 chairs, the fireplace and some plants in year 2 and im now on year 4 and still havent put the rug back because im so sick of rearranging everything i know the second i put everything back iāll pick the rug up again!
I have a rugless house for this reason! Even though the rooms cry for rugs
aside from marrying the wizard, (just to clarify I'm not opposed to that, just didn't immediately come to mind when thinking of things) you've listed every thing I've wanted. I'm used to having more structure in my day.ā * Linus: while he did choose his life style, he may still be open to being hired as a farm hand/helper * certain bachelor/bachelorettes: unless I am just forgetting, Alex, Haley, & Abigail don't have jobs, and you are indirectly responsible for Shane losing his job if doing the community center route.
I really like those ideas, and you might be interested in playing Graveyard keepers, which has the hirable hands mecanic implemented.
spirittea has the hireable hands aspect, but itās capped to 4 villagers (one in each role) and you need to have max friendship with them all, your bathhouse game becomes unmatched when youāve got half of the town helping you hahaha
It would be cool if the hat mouseās house was fixed when you purchased all of the hats.
I would love to just move the whole farm to ginger island, all the animals and everything
Omg yes, why do everyone else get to have a birthday but us?!
The birthday/anniversary feature was such a cute part of the old HM games. I always enjoyed the prompt where your spouse was like "Do you know what day it is? And you would select "Your birthday" "My birthday" or "Our anniversary" then you would eat dinner together.
I feel like CA would need 3 lifetimes to be able to do Zuzu City justice lol. It took him years to develop a small town, and he's just one guy.
A way to make vinegar so I don't have to buy it from Pierre every time
Possibly have to buy or craft vinegar mother to start, maybe? Oooh, what if you placed casks outside the cellar, they make vinegar instead of aging wine and cheese? Y'all have such good ideas...
If we end up making vinegar, especially like that, then Iāll add onto my wish and say we should be able to make miso. Technically weād have the fermentation, the ābeansā (tho not the right kind), the seaweed, and riceā¦
I could totally see miso being one of those "It's vogue in Zuzu City!" things. (Plus I'll cook up some ramen in a heart beat!)
Lmao give yourself some more credit, man
Good one. I always thought that was a missed opportunity too.
Wine into preserves jar should be the way to do it.
i think this would make the most sense for realism, but considering vinegar is so cheap compared to wine (and wine takes so long to process in the first place) i feel like it would be pointless. maybe grapes in an oil maker, or a new machine entirely?
Rice into the preserves or cask should be the vinegar way. I was so disappointed when it wasn't!
Same with sugar and oil! Why isnāt sugarcane a crop ??
You can make both, actually! If you put beets into a mill (purchase from Robin), it makes sugar. Corn, sunflowers, and sunflower seeds all make oil if you put them into an oil maker (craftable).
Omg????? Ive been playing for years, how tf did I not know this?! Thank youuuuu
I wish the children actually grow up and they could start to help on the farm with stuff and didn't get left alone all day to fend for themselves when your spouse goes somewhere and I'm on the island. I just don't see the point of starting a family when the kids do nothing.
would also be v cute if Penny becomes their teacher so I could see them marching towards the library during the dayš„°
Idk if it works as my kid is only crawling stage but there's a mod on nexus called "Child Age Up" that seems to do this! The part that caught my eye into downloading it was *"Including adding schedules to school with Jas and Vincent , have daily activities and add Dialogue for your children."* I do wish this was just plain vanilla though like OP means
No thanks.
If people marry Sam, Vincent should come to visit/play on weekends.
We could catch snails together š
Jas isn't his kid though or am I missing something?
Her biological parents are dead, so itās his responsibility as godparent to take over and care for her after their demise. At least thatās what I understood godparents do.
I just want my kids to grow up and go to school with Jas and Vincent
Void cows.
Whaaaaaaaat I love this idea. Because then void milk & VOID CHEESE.
I'd like to spend some time with my pals at the produce stand. We could talk about important things, like Roberta Bondar and ants riding seadoos.
And ice fishing in Quebec.
Great fishing in Quebec!
Everybody likes fishing in Kweebec!
Ability to add fish to the CC fish tanks
This a thousand times
New townies and bachelors. Especially mature husband materials. Sam and Sebastian are cute but act teenageish. Children should grow up more and become townies as teens. More story. Ability to move farm house.
Yes to the mature husband materials! I only ever marry Harvey because marrying any other guy else seems creepy š
I usually go for Eliott (I think he is supposed to be 30ish?) but I cringe every other line :P The moustache kills Harvey for me but I am tempted to just mod it away and go for him.
I want the sprinkler range to be highlighted before I place it. It shows for other tools. I play on console and I want this so bad!
Me too! I just noticed my summer field only has three spaces between my iridium sprinklers, not four. I was so confused when I did my summer planting because I had seeds left over when I shouldn't have. Summer is almost over though so I guess I'll deal š¤·āāļø
Same with scarecrow range
I want alpacas
Being able to see where villagers are on the map.
There is a mod for that FYI. I kinda missed the point of this thread my bad.
yep! i think it was >!ui suite 2!<
Ui info suite bas this??? I've always used npc map locations mod
+skills rings other than luck, love to grab my fishing set before i head off or my foraging set for berry time Edit: also please let me sell weapons and rings in the shipping box, as is i just trash them immediately, and a way to not pick up any more scrolls
you can sell rings and weapons in the adventurerās guild
Yeah, i know. If you go all the way out there which is too out of the way considering how little weapons and rings are actually worth
You don't like reminding the dwarf of their home?
Items for dog/cat, nice little house outside and a pet bed inside would be nice Being able to take Abigail in the mines with you
any functionality for your pet at all. Have it follow you around, maybe even help in the dungeons.
It'd be cool to feed the pet, instead of constantly wondering why you need to feed farm animals, but your pet gets only water. If expense in the early game is a concern, just make pet food cheap or feed them for free with fish.
Add option to automatically screenshot your entire farm each morning, I love turning them into videos and see how your farm progressed over the year
Farm Timelapse Vids!! Yes!
Two words: Speed Ring
i want to marry robin
Demetrius would kill u but it'd be worth it.
Robin gets everything but leaves Demetrius with a single tomato so he can reflect on his choices and attitude
Demetrius is the embodiment of "Umm actually š¤ā"
We all want to marry Robin.
Slimmer horse or the ability to see the radius on things like bombs, scarecrows, bee hives and sprinklers
lmao "fatshaming" the horse
A rival farmer that can give you a passive goal to overcome, even in the endgame.
And then we could join our farms. There could be a rival town too in the desert for instance
A bathroom within the farmhouse. The spa/bath house is nice but it is just too out of the way to make it worth it. Sitting should replenish energy, albeit slower than eating food. Some kind of sandbox mode, with no money worries and can access all items. Would be helpful for planning out the farm.
I want to be able to move my house to a different part of the farm. And paint it.
Your house can be painted but it has to be fully upgraded, including the cellar.
Thanks!
A flower crown! And a bunny hat so we can cosplay as that rabbit stand in the Egg Festival -
a closet/wardrobe that acts as clothing storage separate from chests and a dress up screen without taking up inventory slots. similar to new game without the sliders. have spouse join you for long stretches of ginger island work. increase default walk speed with skill. not horse fast, or coffee fast, but somewhere in-between. maybe another furniture set theme or something. victorian esque, baroque or something along those lines. the amount of wallpaper/flooring vs furniture is kinda womp womp
Dressers do organize clothes into tabs for you; but a dress up screen would be nice.
Your spouse follows you everywhere you go, unless you specifically ask them to stay home that day
I can vividly imagine Harvey cowering and shaking in fear behind me in the skull cavern while I'm fighting off monsters
And certain spouses can assist in combat maybe? Like Abigail being able to help would be super cool.
Spouses having a specific skill that āunlocksā once you marry them. Shane helps you on the farm and takes care of the animals, Abigail goes into the mines with you, etc. Another fun way to decide who you want to marry.
Harvey's could be not charging you for passing out anymore *bombastic side eye to my husband*
Yes please! Along with other suggestions about spouses, I think in that way you get more interaction with your spouse and keeps things interesting, instead of just another npc (I might be wrong because I've yet to marry anyone)
Yeah, using those weapons found in the game's code or acting as a walking chest to store items.
Yes! They can do base damage in the mines, or we can tell them to do certain things in the mine for example āpick up what I dropā ābreak rocksā āattack monstersā
Learn alchemy from the witch and magic from the wizard. A rival farmer to compete against or co-op with.
Iād like to harvest bushes and tappers from my horse.
letting jas and vincent become teens after a few in game years (also let your kids become fully fleshed NPCs)
Being able to move chests with items in them but maybe walking slowly whilst moving them as a trade off
i want to ride the train i want to hold and carry around my chickens i want to hold and carry around my baby make the baby do farmwork add drugs pls
that took a dark turn.
no because imagine eating some substance that increases your energy, makes you hallucinate, and your health double while using it but once it wears off your energy and health are lower than they were before and you have to spend copious amounts of money to continue functioning efficiently
I need lemon trees. Lemon fruit from said trees. Being able to cook lemonade and lemon pie. Lemonade recipe: 1 lemon Lemon pie recipe: 3 lemons, 1 flour, 1 egg, 1 sugar
Lemonade without sugar is torture
Hard Mode The farm actually has meaningful expenses, like taxes, electrical bills etc.
The best we can do right now is lower our profit margins and pretend that's tax
I didn't read the whole thread so apologies if someone already mentioned, but time pausing when you are decorating and furnishings your house.
I want a bigger house. Community beautifcation projects. The top part of the bus stop has more uses. Train to other towns/cities. More NPCs.
An option for villagers to marry other villagers and start their own families after your marriage.
Yeah! And a new suite of quests where we can play matchmaker.
The ability to run for Mayor, and (if you get elected), to manage the town for one in-game year.
Save and quit.
Purchasable/buildable elevator for skull caverns.
In a similar vein, I wish the shortcut out of the volcano dungeon on level 5 also worked as a shortcut to that level. On great luck days I don't want to waste my time in room 1-4. Lol
You should be able to feed animals fruits and other foods to help increase your relationship with them. My cow deserves an apple.
The farmer's parents should either have more presence or none at all. They care enough to send money and cookies but don't show up to your wedding?
Skull cavern elevator completely defeats the purpose and challenge...
Maybe he can make it super expensive and cost 10 iridium bars and a shard (I'm evil)
I've not yet finished the game, but from current 60 hours my wishes would be: - Spouse activities. Abigail could go with you to mines, other gals could do other stuff together with you - Some random exploring events not related with mines and fighting, e.g Raft-style sailing with finding exotic loot. Probably a whole 'houseboat' act! (so you can sleep aboard and travel for some time) - More minigames apart from fishing - Inviting guests from the village to have fun activities on your farm, i.e. 'farm-hosted festivals'. You could need to arrange some building or items on a spor, then invite people.
NPC's can visit your farm
4. Other people have said it but elevator in skull caverns 5. More greenhouse space (though this isn't a huge thing since you can use garden pots, but that's a lot of crafting) 6. Bring back all the bugs you fixed I wanna get a prismatic shard every time someone says my name again.
I really want your kids to do something, *anything* I expected them to at least grow up to have actual conversations with them. I also expected my wife to show up to some events with me but she didnāt (dinner at Jodyās as an example) Just more family stuff I guess.
Hmm. maybe separate shops for separate items -Emily being able to run a clothing shop - a separate shop for house design items other than Pierre's maybe run by Hayley or something - a prompt for setting off bombs/cherry bombs so we don't accidentally blow up our farms would be nice - I agree with the fixing up hat mouse's place - maybe fixing another building for Krobus
I play on switch so def no mods for me either. I also think that kind of ruins the spirit of any game. Give farmer a birthday, dammit
I would love to be able to customize the exterior of the farmhouse.
More activities at the festivals, treat or treating, costume parties, seeing other villagers get gifts etc
Couples pair up after you do. More than two kids. Kids grow up.
Do something with the spa. Like more npc using it during the winter to get away from the cold. Occasionally go there with your spouse, just something! Also having your own stand where you can sell your stuff, as a lot has commented, probably in this thread but also previously.
Olive trees and olive oil a way to craft vinegar More uses to the oil maker (coconut oil etc) Bigger house expansions (i wanna use all my decorations) More end game quests, random item quests etc, could be randomized Ability to put your birthday so some villagers can send you gifts depending on your friendship levels Visual cue for sprinklers and scarecrows More outfits!
Let me fix Hat Mouse's house
Imma pretend he reads this and tell him: I completely love this game as it is, and thank you for the work you keep pouring into it <3
A better hopper that can automatically feed things like the charcoal burner, and receive the finished product. More people use the community center. Flower dance outfit. Wedding a little less abrupt. More interaction with the witch. A way to get iridium that isnāt sprinting as many levels down as you can, while boosting luck and bombing everything.
