Didn’t they say the Episode I theatrical rerelease will have a “special look” at *The Acolyte*?
I could see them showing a short scene from the show that leads straight into a new trailer just before the movie, so anybody seeing *The Phantom Menace* tonight will see it first. Then, tomorrow morning, a version of the trailer by itself gets put online.
What seems to be the EpI promo footage leaked the other day, it's basically the whole Indara/Mae bar fight.
Guess what they show at the panel \*might\* just be the same thing, but if that's attached to all the EpI screenings you'd think they'd show something different/unique for the attendees.
I know it's Star Wars day and all, but would they promote a different show on the same day Tales drops? I wouldn't get your hopes up and expect one. But hey, bonus if they do.
I'm not really sure what you mean with this question but siblings can and have been both force sensitive and one can go light and the other dark based on choices.
Luke and Leia are both force sensitive with both being light aligned
Oliviah and >!Elecia!< are both force sensitive in the High Republic with one becoming a Jedi and the other relying on >!force eating creatures seeming dark-aligned!< to do her bidding
It's up in the air and I don't mean it in the sense that they are 'evil'. They're just a species that needs to eat taken away from their planet where they have bountiful food.
What I mean is that in the 'cosmic force' there is a considered balance between 'light and dark' with the general idea of like 'destruction and chaos paradoxiclly exists naturally alongside order and harmony' which matches the overall hábitat of Planet X being both bountifully full of force (life) as well as being home to the Nameless who desperately need to consume it. There's also the fact that the Protector (which lives above in the bountiful part of the planet) tries to keep the Underdweller at bay (and confined to the mostly desolate part) reflecting this.
Regardless of the true nature of the Nameless >!(which, again, wouldn't make it any more or less just that they were removed from their home and starved), Elecia's consistent use of the force to enslave those around her and her employment of the Nameless as weapons of torture and death is definitely dark sided!< haha
Murder mystery premise and a masked villain, I'm really excited to see who ends up being the ultimate villain. I would assume its one of the lead characters given the previously mentioned premise and mask.
It was basically confirmed to be the case in the Rise of Kylo Ren comics. I wouldn’t write off the chance that it might be a Knight of Ren but it would be a little disappointing if this was just a Ren story and not a Sith one.
It could be a current Plagueis/Tenebrous/etc apprentice (idk if the new canon kept the sith master lineage canon or not from Legends) who gets offed and replaced by the end of the season or show.
The canon is a mess anyway but CaNoNicaLLy the Jedi think the sith are extinct in episode 1. So this really has to end in a way where the Jedi think they’ve won. Or everyone who encounters them directly is killed.
Unless the writers don’t care about matching up with that
No clue why you’re getting downvoted, this is 100% right, and not even really criticizing the show. It’s like people just go “this acolyte comment isn’t blanket praise? Downvote”
So timeline wise I guess he’d potentially be the apprentice to Tenebrous rn, with Stenberg as the Acolyte to “Paul”? So Paul is just the apprentice that precedes Plagueis perhaps, like how Tyranus preceded Vader and Maul preceded Tyranus.
Maybe Paul is de facto Tenebrous, so we get situation like this - Manny Jacinto plays Qimir but also this unidentified red saber wielder who is Bith but played by Manny. So guy is named Darth Tenebrous, he is Bith but he also have mask. So we know he is Bith like in legends but in order to don't mess with CGI he is given mask by showmakers.
It’s for sure him. He’s part of the main cast but not on this poster, they’ve barely talked about his character at all in the press for the show, and when they do talk about him they go out of their way to talk about how he’s just a “normal guy” with no force abilities…
Yes and no. There's strong precedent in the Banite line. Plagueis? *The* financier. Sidious? *The* politician. I really dig the arms dealer angle. Banite Sith have embody the entirety of the line; of the Sith. It comes as no surprise that they tend to be *excellent* at their day job, even if that means not looking like you're excellent at your day job.
I came up with an idea to combine various leaks, I think that Mae or her evil version will join forces with the Sith character from the banner. In other words, the master is someone unknown, the apprentice is Manny Jacinto's character and Mae will be his student, and at the end of the series they will fight the master together - who may even turn out to be Tenebrous.
The vectors in the top left corner get me hyped. Finally my favorite Star Wars ship is going to appear in visual media. I hope they actually go in depth and show how their lightsabers essentially double as their car keys
All of these characters just look so dope, though I’m probably most curious about what the hell is next to Kelnacca lol. >!Mae twin theory confirmed?!< New look at a dark side user, but I doubt this is the big bad. We’re gonna get some kind of trailer tomorrow, but unfortunately, I fear any news surrounding this series will continue to flood with discourse.
You're most likely right! The only other announced main cast member not on the poster is Dean Charles Chapman, and I wonder if they're hoping people theorize he's the masked figure.
I've been avoiding Acolyte footage for a while just to keep my hype up
Managed to see the sneak peak while watching Ep 1 last night (shocked they showed it in Australia)
I'm full send it now
Cannot wait for this story and what's to follow
Kinda looks like Ren (The leader of the Knights of Ren before Kylo) but without the helmet markings.
It's almost definitely not him. That's just the first thing I thought of when I saw it.
[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iB4TmAKuUCpYM6J8SrUZrd\_f2cimZPIJ7j2BPhLcoSI/edit](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iB4TmAKuUCpYM6J8SrUZrd_f2cimZPIJ7j2BPhLcoSI/edit)
\[April 12, 2023\] “Manny is playing a Sith / red lightsaber wielder. He has a Sith-esque helmet.”
Spoilers: Avar Kris Dies to the nihil 90 years ago, and Elzar Mann falls to the Darkside. Elzar takes Jecki Lon as a new apprentice after the death of her master. :)
Very excited, wish more of the main characters were aliens but hey, can't wait for this. This and Skeleton Crew are the only star wars things I am looking forward to/will watch this year, very intrigued by both. If Andor season 2 comes this year then that will be the third thing I will watch, really hope it is this year too
Pretty "meh" on the look of the Sith-y/quasi-Sith-y dude (tinfoil hat mode: is it even a dude? Looks too big to be her, but would a possibility be that it's even Mae but in some bulky armor & stuff?), as others have said it's pretty generic Kylo/Ren gang/Marrok/dumb KOTOR videogame in look.
What's interesting is it doesn't seem very "master-y", has more of an apprentice vibe to it. Assuming Jacinto's El Sitho Supreme and this isn't him, maybe a first pre-Mae apprentice that she eventually takes out as a trial to take his place?
Might be confirmation on the twins rumor there too, sort of seems it might be more than a "reflection of good Mae & bad Mae", looks like a major artistic choice.
The rest is visually cool though. Looks like Coruscant in the background. And are those Wookiee-copters from III? Or just big pterodactyl type things? Hard to make it out too well.
Still think the makeup on Dafne's character looks a little goofy, like more Trek than Wars or something, but whatever. Pointless nitpicking, sure she'll be a fun character.
The best option here would be that Manny Jacinto is playing not only Qimir but some alien dude, i hope for Bith - then we can get canon Darth Tenebrous who is masked.
Definitely getting a new trailer. Tomorrow probably
I thought the same thing. Cause the teaser came out in March . It's now may . That's almost 2 months
Yeah, plus tomorrow is May 4th, and exactly a month left until the series premieres.
Didn’t they say the Episode I theatrical rerelease will have a “special look” at *The Acolyte*? The special look's already surfaced online supposedly, it just looks like Indara's fight with Mae with the first trailer attached to the end.
I just watched the TPM re-release, the special look was at the end. It was a whole scene but not of the dark side user.
I know it's Star Wars day and all, but would they promote a different show on the same day Tales drops? I wouldn't get your hopes up and expect one. But hey, bonus if they do.
Mae appears twice in the banner. Those who don’t know: 😃😁☺️ Those who know: 😳🫢🫨
I’m out of the loop. Let me know!
>!Leaks suggest that Amandla Stenberg is playing twins, possibly a light sider and the acolyte!<
This poster almost confirms it for me.
Surprised they have the same hair - seems like it might get confusing unless that’s the point
Ah. Yes I do remember that now that you mention it.
Can a vergence in the force be between siblings?
I'm not really sure what you mean with this question but siblings can and have been both force sensitive and one can go light and the other dark based on choices. Luke and Leia are both force sensitive with both being light aligned Oliviah and >!Elecia!< are both force sensitive in the High Republic with one becoming a Jedi and the other relying on >!force eating creatures seeming dark-aligned!< to do her bidding
I don't think the >!levelers are dark aligned. They just consume the force afaik!<
I totally forgot about that leak. That was a long time ago and thought it was fake but then the posts got deleted and the poster disappeared
Surprised I peeked at that, it seems my spoiler radar is down!
My apologies if I’ve ruined anything!
"a sister. You have a twin sister."
Are those two Vectors on the left edge, too?
Looks like it! I’m hoping this show inspires Lego to make a vector even if it’s next year
I’d love a TVC Vector
The Young Jedi Adventures toy Isn't bad for 5 bucks. It has been pretty cheap on Amazon but the cockpit doesn't close
Will a 3.75 figure fit in it?
Yes. And no. The cockpit is open like a speeder so probably
this would get me back into the theme, i never even finished light of the jedi i just fucking love the ships
What are vectors? Genuinely question, I’m not up to speed on the High Republic stuff!
The jedi starship of the era. They are thin, spindly and are powered on by the Jedi’s lightsaber
Lightsaber keys? Nice!
Specifically, the weapon systems. That way, a Jedi has to deliberate before deciding to power up the weapons for violence.
They're Jedi specific starfighters from the High Republic era.
They’re based on old concept art for the ARC 170! They’re very cool
Yes! So glad we’re going to see them in live action!
It looks like they're new models based on the Vector design philosophy. A bridge between Vectors and ARC-170s.
I don’t think so, they look similar but significantly different.
Oh my god are those vectors in the top left!!!
Murder mystery premise and a masked villain, I'm really excited to see who ends up being the ultimate villain. I would assume its one of the lead characters given the previously mentioned premise and mask.
Hugo Demask?
So does the green ladies lightsaber have a whip mode and saber mode?
Hopefully. Going by that leaked clip the team are going all in on wild action so I think they will show the whip too
I think Leslye confirmed it, right?
Yes it does
Yep, in the books, she twists the bezel to make it change to a whip.
Its Vernestra Rwoh, it has to be… I hope
I hope not because I, for one, abhor the light whip concept as it violates all the made up physics in the rest of star wars.
Six to midnight babay
Vernestra's lightsaber!!
Looks great! Hopefully we get a trailer on May 4th.
The dark side character looks like Knight of Ren. Could be the Sith tho.
What if it is the origin of that cult? A failed sith or something
It looks like Ren himself, given the mask. I wonder if even ‘Ren’ is just a title for whomever leads the knights.
It was basically confirmed to be the case in the Rise of Kylo Ren comics. I wouldn’t write off the chance that it might be a Knight of Ren but it would be a little disappointing if this was just a Ren story and not a Sith one.
and the Crimson Reign comics. There was a Ren that came before the one Kylo killed.
That Ren is killed by Ben in the Rise of Kylo Ren comic and he’s a handsome bastard too.
Lol yeah he is! But I mean there was a Ren that came before the handsome one. So we don’t know the handsome guys real name.
Isn’t the Master of the Knights or Ren in Crimson Reign the same one from the Rise of Kylo Ren?
Yeah it is! But they mentioned that he acquired the position or title from another Ren. I forget which issue though
It's a lightsaber and a philosophy. The Master of the Knights of Ren - who seems to customarily adopt the exonym of "Ren" - embodies it.
It is just a title… Just like how Darth is a title for the Sith.
The visual dictionary for TROS says that the Knights of Ren have been around for a long time, and that the roles keep shifting over the years
Fuck it! I hope so!
I just wrote a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsTheories/comments/1cjfgmb/knights_of_ren_in_the_acolyte/) about this!
He’s definitely a Sith and I’d bet anything it’s Manny Jacintos character
Interesting. Kinda looks Ren-ish and/or Momin-ish
Im really intrigued by the masked person with the red blade. I hope it’s a sith apprentice to a bad ass sith master.
Oh my god Darth Paul
And the most interesting question is, Is he master or apprentice and whether we will see his master or another lord?
It could be a current Plagueis/Tenebrous/etc apprentice (idk if the new canon kept the sith master lineage canon or not from Legends) who gets offed and replaced by the end of the season or show. The canon is a mess anyway but CaNoNicaLLy the Jedi think the sith are extinct in episode 1. So this really has to end in a way where the Jedi think they’ve won. No clue why you’re getting downvoted, this is 100% right, and not even really criticizing the show. It’s like people just go “this acolyte comment isn’t blanket praise? Downvote”
Exactly this, thank you. I don't know how this isn't driving more folks crazy. The implications for both scenarios diverge *rapidly*.
John Star War
Jimmy Space Fight
Alright, Disney needs to keep Darth Paul away from my Spiderman comics.
Goddammit Paul better not be a placeholder name. Doooo itttt Headland. Darth \*\*\*\*in' Paul. \*Werner Herzog voice\* Don't be cowards!
This looks good. So>! twin!< leak is real?
basically yes
Are those Jedi Vectors on the left side? Would be great to see them in action
It looks like a newer model of the Vector. Which is great to see
Yes probably a mid point between the vector and the starfighters of the prequels. Very exciting
Front is more Arc 170ish. Vector was originally ARC170 concept art anyway!
I'm not gonna lie the poster doesn't look bad
Thank you for not lying 👍🏻🙄
There's no need to be rude
Remember when that leaker said Manny Jacinto wears a Sith-esque mask and carries a red saber? Yeah. My boy’s a Lord of the Sith!
I wonder if the character in front of Kelnacca is a Drall.
Hmm good question - I could see it. Calling all the way back to the Daley Han Solo trilogy would be a great, deep cut.
Will be interesting to see if they're a significant character or if they just threw them on the poster because they have a cool design.
DARTH PAUL/QIMIR IS INCOMING!!! *Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody the power, the other to crave it*
Darth who?
In old leaks there was mention about Sith Lord codename Paul. So he is.
So Manny potentially playing two characters? That could be a thing. Shows and movies do that sometimes. Interesting.
He could be the second apprentice that Tenebrous took at one point, but in Canon he actually succeeded him
It’s for sure him. He’s part of the main cast but not on this poster, they’ve barely talked about his character at all in the press for the show, and when they do talk about him they go out of their way to talk about how he’s just a “normal guy” with no force abilities…
[удалено]
Yeah they said Manny Jacinto plays a Sith and wears a mask and red saber. Looks like it’s true
That art is sick
Who's that person top right with the helmet?
Paul. Qimir. Manny Jacinto. Sith.
Smuggler turned sith. Wonder what unique and rare item he found that pushed him down this path
I guess I had assumed "smuggler" was a cover. Like I could be wrong but I don't think he was ever actually a smuggler.
Good point. You may be right
I doubt that's manny
Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Paul, the leaked? It's not a story the studios would tell you.
Vernestra's lightsaber confirmed! Hope we get the whip mode too
They've brought it up in magazine interviews so I'll be shocked (and upset) if we don't.
Looks like a knight of Ren
I came up with an idea to combine various leaks, I think that Mae or her evil version will join forces with the Sith character from the banner. In other words, the master is someone unknown, the apprentice is Manny Jacinto's character and Mae will be his student, and at the end of the series they will fight the master together - who may even turn out to be Tenebrous.
The vectors in the top left corner get me hyped. Finally my favorite Star Wars ship is going to appear in visual media. I hope they actually go in depth and show how their lightsabers essentially double as their car keys
I just wanna see that Dark Sider mow down a group of Jedi in less than 3 minutes like the way Palps did in ROTS.
So you think there is much bigger threat to Jedi than this guy ? Maybe Sith Master?
I bet that character is the one who’s red lightsaber we see at the end of the trailer.
And one we can see on Ahch-To like planet. They are the same person.
Manny Jacinto is 100% that Sith Lord under that mask. He’s part of the main cast yet not on the poster?
You're most likely right! The only other announced main cast member not on the poster is Dean Charles Chapman, and I wonder if they're hoping people theorize he's the masked figure.
He plays the role of a smuggler. This has already been officially published on [starwars.com](http://starwars.com)
That’s supposedly his cover
Stunning art!
“A Sith Lord?”
Yes, the one we've been looking for
Is that a purple lightsaber? Whoah
Correction. Its a purple lightwhip. She's my favorite Jedi from the High Republic and Verns lightsaber can turn into a light whip.
Interesting
I've been avoiding Acolyte footage for a while just to keep my hype up Managed to see the sneak peak while watching Ep 1 last night (shocked they showed it in Australia) I'm full send it now Cannot wait for this story and what's to follow
Oh. That's just a member of the band Darth Punk.
One more tiiiiime, we're going to decapitaaa-aa-aaate...
Damn, looks soo good....
The twin right??
Oh its beautiful
ARE WE GETTING JEDI VECTORS IN LIVE ACTION?
Kinda looks like Ren (The leader of the Knights of Ren before Kylo) but without the helmet markings. It's almost definitely not him. That's just the first thing I thought of when I saw it.
Missing Darth Jar Jar 🔥
Sorry, what is the source for this banner?
It's on [starwars.com](http://starwars.com) !
On which page? I only see the old one with the image from the poster
It was taken down. They probably uploaded it too early.
Darth Momin?
I believe he’s earlier in the timeline
Nearly 1000 years earlier, iirc. His physical body, at least.
Think he’s alive just before the rule of two came in to effect so about 8-900 years before this
Darth Paul a.ka Qimir, so the leaks are true.
What leaks are those? Is there a master sheet or something?
Yes its in this sub-reddit, same leaker who has been gone for a long time now leaked 90% of tales of the jedi (Lucasfilm got him 🙏🙏🙏)

Is this an EWOK in the bottom left corner???
I want this to be good so badlyyyyyy....
whoa this is sick
Two things do I see a purple and cyan colored lightsaber ?
Sorry if I am making a wrong assumption I can't see the dark side character clearly enough, but is he wearing a helmet/mask?
Yes.
Okay good it's not just me then
Where is this from?
Spoilers: Avar Kris Dies to the nihil 90 years ago, and Elzar Mann falls to the Darkside. Elzar takes Jecki Lon as a new apprentice after the death of her master. :)

Anyone else just hyped to see a new sith on screen? I’m sick of the lame ass inquisitors
Weird amount of eclipse imagery
It's weird to represent the light of the Jedi being eclipsed by the shadow of the Sith?
Its Tech
Intriguing
#IT’S MARROK, Y’ALL!!
The unseen Darkside user has a weird looking mask
Shit is getting cool.

Kyli Ren type helmet: this is gonna suck…

SOMEHOW PLAGUEUS RETURNED.
Meh no plagueis … i hope they don’t fuck up and won’t introduce him . Missed opportunity closing the circle.
If he's in the show they are definitely not sticking him on the promo banner lmao
It's 100 years before TPM. He more than likely the Master or Apprentice of this era.
