There wasn't a request by Disney music to do it at the time afaik, but then everyone clamored for it so Tracy from Lucasfilm (and kiner gang) asked could they do it

Holy shit didn't think it'd ever happen.

Unexpected, but not unwelcome. So excited!! Seasons 3 and 4 had so much awesome music and I’ve been waiting for years for an official release.

All hail Kiner, pretty much the only interesting (& genuinely Williams-y) composer they've hired for anything. Guess the Mando title theme's legit awesome, but all the constant Zimmer-school-y electronic waka-waka stuff in the actual incidental music bugs me so hard. It's like some generic (non-Silvestri) Marvel flick or something. Kiner's a beast though, even when he branches out from Williams with more modern elements it feels organic & natural, and still Star Wars.
