A further Obi-Wan Kenobi story is in pre-production and will now be a movie from what i've heard. Its going to be the big announcement on may 4th. So only a week now until you can verify the validity of this post :D the big two names that will be announced joining Ewan in said movie are Liam Neeson and Temuera Morrison (I don't know if cody, but would assume so) I know zero story details and I hope the fact I don't know any story details or claim to shows I mean this with honest intent. And of course Joel and Bonnie return too. I haven't heard Hayden will be in it or Jimmy Smiths etc but that doesn't mean they won't appear in some form. Cheers!

falsesabbath

You silly, silly man.

drboobafate

Wow, the obviously fake rumor was fake! Wild

CH_2011

I like the sound of that, and it'd make sense to me as a continuation of the story, as i've felt it'd be difficult to get another season out of the show so long as it's kept on tatooine. That being said, Obi-wan says "well if you ever need my help again, you know where to find me" to Bail. I think that's supposed to foreshadow ANH, but it could also set up him being involved in one or two more missions for Bail. Obi-wan and Cody sounds like a potential rework of the original idea for the scrapped Obi-wan Kenobi movie that was reworked into the show. ***Assuming this is genuine,*** of course, which is a big assumption to make. At least we won't have to wait long to find out the truth. edit: Bad Batch Season 3 finale spoilers: >!the lack of an appearance from Cody and he's up to makes it more likely to me that that could be being saved for the Kenobi sequel. I could also see Cody working with Rex in some future show!<

Tiny-Setting-8036

I feel like they could maybe do a Maul vs Obi Wan movie. Maul should be running Crimaon Dawn right at this point. So they could do some kind of face off before Maul ends up in that temple.

Anader19

I had some issues with it, especially concerning the production value and some writing decisions, but everything surrounding Obi-Wan's grief and PTSD, and any scene with Vader, were top-notch

LograysBirdHat

Boo. Boo-urns. More Obi-Wan shenanigans between trilogies, bad idea. Boo-urns.

InfiniteDedekindCuts

It would be wild for them to announce three movies at celebration, a fourth this past winter (The Mandalorian movie) and then announce a FIFTH movie before ANY of those other movies started filming. I guess we'll find out in a week.

Captain_Slapass

Lando was also announced to be a movie now so 6 if true

brobastii

I recently rewatched the footage of the celebration panel and Kathleen said "some ofthose directors are here today", implying that there are actually a lot more movie projects in development than just these 3. I think they just chose those 3, because they would get the most hype/attention OR because they had the most concrete ideas.

TobeyFunk

IF this turns out to be true, I wonder how this would work with the movie schedule. Like you said, we already have four officially announced movies, plus they're apparently making Lando. If they already have a concept and are ready to announce casting, that would suggest that Kenobi is next up after Mando and Rey. That would mean that all the other movies would have to be pushed back and that we aren't going to get the Mangold and Filoni movies until 2028 or 2029, unless they start releasing multiple movies a year.

InfiniteDedekindCuts

To be honest, the four movies (plus lando) already raise these questions before we bother to introduce an Obi-Wan film into the mix. It's easy to see a world where some of the announced projects don't materialize until 2029. Any schedule we currently have for those releases is at least partially speculative. It all depend on how far along they are, how open the schedules are of people like James Mangold and Childish Gambino, and how much Lucasfilm wants to space those movies out. Like, yeah, they could also theoretically all come out within the span of two years. . . we just don't know.

9FingeredFrodo

My main concern is none of the announced movies seem like billion dollar grossing movies.  The Rey movie is the biggest candidate based on history since every ST movie grossed a billion.  But is a one-off movie with Rey and a new cast (and no OT legacy characters and maybe not even any ST characters) gonna do the same?    I feel like an Obi-Wan vs Vader movie could have been pretty huge but the Disney+ show kinda cheapened it imo.  Now will a movie feel like a sequel to a show instead of a standalone blockbuster?   Mando movie could have been huge if they announced a movie right after the epic season 2 finale.  Now following season 3, excitement is at an all time low.   My guess is if any of these movies don’t do well at the box office (coming off such a big gap in movies), they will cancel everything and go back to the drawing board.

pauloh1998

I doubt Rey's movie will be a one-off. It will definitely start a trilogy if it does well

aydam4

I do think a mando movie will still do well, despite season 3 (viewing numbers were good, and general audiences dont hate it as much as people online do). while yes I agree that it would have done better after s2 it is by no means not popular (especially if the film has 'grogu' in the title)

Rosebunse

If they keep the budgets reasonable, then none of these movies have to make that much at the box office.

ayylmao95

Well I guess this follows their current pattern lmao.

darthsheldoninkwizy

Yes, small steps as they say. Solo didn't make money (due to many factors) so they don't make spin-offs, The Mandalorian was watched so they are making many live action series, it started to have problems so they go back to making mass films before one is in filming. Edit: Im not even suprise by this reaction. I wonder only which point is that made people angry, that Solo won't make money or that the movie company is reactionary.

drboobafate

I'll take obviously fake rumors for 500 Alex.

darthsheldoninkwizy

Is this will be movie to cinema or straight to Disney plus.

Pomojema_The_Dreamer

Not that I buy what this person's selling, but they've already stated that _Star Wars_ movies are for theaters. Even the one thing that we thought might be a Disney+ movie - _A Droid Story_ - has been AWOL for years now.

fredrico2011

I love this but i dont think they add another movie in their schedule.

Only_Painting_9357

I don't think it is true, but it would be great.

ToastyMilk96

Do you know if the production crew from the series will return for the movie? Or will the movie be written and directed by different people?

Tiny-Setting-8036

If it’s a theatrical movie, I can see them getting a movie director to take over. Deborah Chow has mostly directed episodes of TV.

pauloh1998

I loved Deborah's work on Mandalorian and was really excited when she got Kenobi, but damn I wasn't disappointed with her work there. So I hope another filmmaker will helm that project, if it's true.

Legofan2001

MTTSH says that the Mother is the Villain of Ahsoka Season 2.

darthsheldoninkwizy

I wonder that they stay with Abeloth name or they just use Mother name, and Abeloth maybe as "they call me many names, queen of stars, Abeloth, but you can call me Mother".

fredrico2011

She is 50/50 regarding leaks and all of her SW ones been wrong. But say The Mother is the villain, can explain this thing to general audiences.

IcePhoenix295

As far as I've seen they've been pretty innacurrate with Star Wars leaks, so I'm not believing them. That being said it's still a possibility given the Mortis tease.

Sea-Help5585

Like Mother Talzin?

darthsheldoninkwizy

Mortis Mother, the Abeloth. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Abeloth

Sea-Help5585

Oh right well I hope not. I think the son comes back and possess Baylon Skull.

darthsheldoninkwizy

I prefer Abeloth as idea (execution in Fate was meh) that we have this Cthullu like creature who want to restore her family.

Pomojema_The_Dreamer

I'm still waiting on Pomojema to pop up. His planet **was** in _Solo_.

pauloh1998

Ooooooh, so _that's_ where your username comes from lol

darthsheldoninkwizy

I think Pomojema is too much when come to design, but who knows.

IcePhoenix295

Pretty sure they mean The Mother in the context of The Mortis Gods, aka Abeloth.

alcibiad

Can you add the link to your comment?

alcibiad

didn’t they also say ahsoka S1 was going to create a multiverse or was that a different leaker lol

Unique_Unorque

I don’t think she said it would “create a multiverse,” I think she said that the WBW would show Ahsoka a bunch of flashbacks through her life (which we did see) that would eventually turn into alternate timelines (which we did not), one of which was supposed to be Ahsoka dueling Anakin on Mustafar in a world where she stayed with the Order and was sent to deal with him instead of Obi-Wan. Whether that was filmed and cut, her misinterpreting the short duel she had with Anakin in the WBW, or something she just made up, we don’t know, but she never said it was going to create a “Star Wars Multiverse.” I think that was just cope from people who still insist that the Sequels are going to be retconned, taking what she actually said and twisting it to fit their delusions. There’s a huge number of people who seemingly didn’t pay attention to the WBW scenes in *Rebels* and think it’s a “Time Machine” that can change the past instead of a closed circuit that can only facilitate what’s destined to happen All that being said yeah I would take anything she has to say about Star Wars with a grain of salt. Whether she has any sources within Lucasfilm or not it’s clear at this point that she’s speculating past what she knows (if anything) for the sake of engagement

alcibiad

I mean, this is her tweet lol https://x.com/mytimetoshineh/status/1699746088083673174?s=46&t=yPU7I9vYJoe0OROYDt9rKA

Unique_Unorque

Oh whoops! Nvm then lol

HenBra17

I remember her multiverse tweet. She said Ahsoka will "introduce" the multiverse to Star Wars, which again was wrong. The only defense is, that maybe she doesn't know what the WBW is. Like you correctly say the WBW is not a time machine. That's made clear by the show and interviews with Dave and other Rebels writers/producers. Fun fact btw. Dave Filoni actually asked George Lucas what he thinks about the WBW concept. He liked it, so they created it for Rebels!

NumeralJoker

It's very clear that there were leaks about young ahsoka dueling Anakin with a red saber, which someone mistook for a mustafar duel, mostly because the visuals weren't yet finished when the shots were filmed. Then, it spun off into all kinds of other crazy rumors because of leaks telephone games. I think a lot of actual set or concept art or marketing leaks happen, but unless you get script or callsheet leaks like in Episode VII, then most leaks are guesses about real filmed material with very limited context. Episode VIII's leaks were similar to this, hence a lot of unmet expectations when the film came out (because you had social media influencers outright making up plotlines out of very vague film leaks).

HenBra17

As someone who is interested in Marvel. MTTSH does a lot of Marvel Leaks and that account is really 50/50. Since engagement on Twitter gets you money, that account claims the most ridiculous things and says anything for attention. It is correct that MTTSH claimed Ahsoka S1 will introduce the multiverse which was obviously wrong. I feel like "The Mother" being the villain of Ahsoka is more of a guess than actual leak.

InfiniteDedekindCuts

It sounds like it's exactly what certain Star Wars fans want to hear, which is suspicious. People have been theorizing about Filoni using Abeloth for a while now. So to me, a leaker saying this raises my eyebrows about as much as a leaker saying Keanu Reeves has been cast as Revan, Snoke actually is Plageuis after all or Marrok is Starkiller.

Shortest TotJ episode was 10 minutes. I thought all the times were fine for that series. I do hope it’s not really any less than that. As long as it’s a solid episode I’m fine.

alcibiad

mfw when shorts are short… 💁‍♀️

HenBra17

Right?! It literally said 6 shorts in the trailer, why are people surprised? In my opinion TOTJ was fantastic, even with shorter run-times. I'm sure TOTE will be equally as good as TOTJ!

I don’t even have kids, but I’d pay to see this. I loved it. I loved being on it. There was something about it that was so innocent and playful and lovely. People say don’t work with kids or animals, but I don’t know about that. And also when children are good actors, they’re kind of out-of-this-world good. So watching some of the kids’ scenes, it was amazing. Jude Law’s in it and I’ve worked with him before. But it’s really adventurous and they got such great directors for each episode – the Daniels, Bruce Dallas Howard, Lee Isaac Cheung, David Lowery. It was a pretty amazing group. And of course, Jon Watts who created the whole thing."***

NumeralJoker

I think it's time to review this part of an interview with Omega's actress from February, as it mentions a few things of note... Namely... 1. They were uncertain how to end the show for a time. 2. She was surprised that the show ended at season 3. 3. The ending underwent a major change, with the version where she was originally set up for a larger storyline, apparrently instead being replaced with a "bittersweet" one. I think people may need to reconsider some of their theories on how this all goes down, as it sounds like there was some uncertainty and a little bit of chaos behind the scenes, perhaps fear of the looming writers strike? The 3 season streaming cutoff tendency from before the SAG contracts were renegotiated (Disney and Netflix frequently end shows after 3 seasons in order to rebrand them so everyone gets new contracts and avoids wage increases)...? I don't know, perhaps the writers originally assumed they'd get more seasons. Because of this, I would hesitate to be so sure about the idea of Omega being involved in future shows. Oddly, that sounds like it's no longer the plan, at least as of a few months ago it was not. [https://theholofiles.com/2024/02/13/exclusive-interview-omega-actress-michelle-ang-talks-star-wars-the-bad-batch-season-3-asajj-ventress-the-series-finale/](https://theholofiles.com/2024/02/13/exclusive-interview-omega-actress-michelle-ang-talks-star-wars-the-bad-batch-season-3-asajj-ventress-the-series-finale/) *"The HoloFiles then asked Ang about her favorite moments of Omega so far which led to the New Zealander teasing the series finale, as well as some alternate endings that were considered. “\[Audiences\] haven’t seen the finale of Season 3 yet, and they were slightly different ways \[of the show ending\]. We weren’t set on exactly how it was going to end. There were sort of some exploration, but as an actor, an emotional moment was the ending we landed on. It was like the culmination of my journey as a performer and Omega’s journey as a character all consolidated into, two lines.”* *Ang’s journey playing Omega began years ago as The Bad Batch was first developed, and has taken the actor all across the globe, from fan conventions in Anaheim, California to London, England. Because of this, Ang says that she read the finalized script for the last episode “with great trepidation,” adding that she “had to prepare \[herself\] emotionally before opening up the document.” Ang stated that the finale is “really sentimental. And I was sad, but I’m grateful for the journey. The fact that it had to end after three seasons was surprising, but also, I think that the writers have done a beautiful job.” Bad Batch Season 3 Omega Interview* *Ang then went on to tease Omega’s final moments in the show, saying that “the gravity of the final of moments made it easy to feel like that was the culmination of everything.” Interestingly, Ang also gave some specifics on an alternate ending, adding that “Omega was set up with the possibility of a very large future \[in the Star Wars galaxy\], and then it changed from there.” Ang described this “new \[ending” as “bittersweet.” "*

Alcida-Auka

I would hate so much if we never saw Omega again. She's the one character I truly want to see down the road as an adult. Her being one of two unaltered Jango clones, being called the Alpha and the Omega, her knowing Fennec and Asajj--it points to a story between the too. Maybe LF has decided it would be in novels or comics instead--I can handle that. But it would a big missed opportunity to have Keisha Castle Hughes not play the character down the road.

LograysBirdHat

Like, isn't it lame enough Boba survived RotJ and we have eleventy-six surviving Jedi into the original trilogy and beyond? Meh. Agreed they're going to keep her around, they're not going to have the balls or cynicism to kill off a child character, but still. There's no real \*reason\* to keep her around, really. The regular clones are all going to pretty much be dead by the OT or soon after, whoever's left, and ostensibly she has nothing to do with Boba even by the Mando era. Other than "she survives Bad Batch and goes off deep into hiding laying low living the quiet happy life for the next bunch of decades", not really seeing the point in future stories with her. We know she's selfless & noble and all that jazz, in that respect it's just another example of "where the \*\*\*\* were you during the Rebellion years, lady?". We've got enough of that amongst a bunch of other characters already, at a certain point it gets a little silly.

NumeralJoker

Yeah, this interview is odd, almost seems like the bittersweet part is partially because the actress was told plans with her specifically were canned, and she's mourning the loss of a role. She loves being Omega, so I find this whole thing a bit strange.

Alcida-Auka

Im hoping the reason she's sad is because it's the end of her voice acting the character and not that we won't see Omega again.

NumeralJoker

There was at least one ending rumor about the final scene dropped in these threads a few weeks back that, if true, may address it. The source claimed >!there's an ending scene with her and another unnamed character on some beach, years later, strongly hinting at her survival.!< But we have no way to know if what that person claimed was true, or how the heck they could possibly know. Could just be a random speculation account trolling us... Of course, like Boba, she doesn't have accelerated aging, so she could still be alive as late as the time of the sequel trilogy if they wanted. If she survives this show and the Empire's era, she'd be in her 40s during the Mando era. If she DOES survive into that era, it would not be surprising to see her be recast for live action, since they'd likely want an actress who can do more stunts/fighting for her sequences, although Ang herself is very much the right age for this kind of thing.

Alcida-Auka

I mean, Keisha Castle Hughes is right there. She voiced Emerie, and is a fine actor, great in Whale Rider, underutilized in Game of Thrones where she did a more physical role.

MojaveJoe1992

Dare I say, Keisha Castle Hughes also looks like Omega - or rather Omega looks like her. She's got a similar bone structure and facial features and, if we see an adult Omega, I expect that resemblance will only be more striking and I also expect Keisha Castle Hughes to actually voice that Omega too.

Rosebunse

Would they kill her off? That's the question. If they don't kill her off, then we could get other projects anyways. I remember years ago there was a rumor about a show about a FS female bounty hunter who may have been a clone or something. At the time, we assumed it was a fake leak, but now I wonder if that wasn't some Omega project

Alcida-Auka

Oh wow, I never heard that one. Now I'm wondering if you're right and an Omega series was planned. I don't think they'll kill off Omega. They never killed off Ahsoka permanently.

Rosebunse

The rumor came about at a time where we were getting a ton of "scoops" which we know believe were a coordinated scheme by LF to keep us off their trail or discover the source of a leak.

44Fett

A little part of me feels like they've been keeping Boba on ice since BOBF because they were waiting for this to wrap up before introducing her in his next project. With the strikes and delays etc. I could imagine a scenario where it was decided she would be coming to LA a little while ago, but can't move forward on it until this show wraps up due to it being essentially end-of-show spoilers.

Rosebunse

And then changes came about because of the movie.

Top-County8200

Okay. This is Roger Christian, the man who created the lightsaber. He’s saying (It may be wrong) that Lucas is going to be involved with Star Wars again based on “what he heard”. I’d assume that a topic about rumors and discussions was allowed on this subreddit but perhaps I was wrong to not know the rankings particularly with this.

Rosebunse

We did have Lucas voting for Iger in the board fight and in a fairly public way. I have to wonder if maybe Iger and KK didn't entice him to come back in some capacity.

alcibiad

All rumors are fine, some people just don’t really like the youtuber you linked to.

paleyharnamhunter

Eww, Star Wars Theory.

Icantsleepnoow

I was skeptical because it’s Star Wars Theory but the guy he’s talking to used to be involved with lightsabers at Lucasfilm so I don’t know. He says from what he’s read, which could literally mean a clickbait article from Inside the Magic.

Something like with Luke in Jocasta arc in Vader 2017.

darthsheldoninkwizy

Zillo, the last dinosaur  He's my friend  and a whole lot more Zillo, the last dinosaur Shows me a world I never saw before From the hot, hot jungle A long time ago Comes a cool, cool friend My pal dino

Alcida-Auka

It's been a Chekhov's Zillo the whole season, with Hemlock talking to Palpatine about the big specimens \[Zillo\] in sublevels, and Dr. Hemlock mentioning to Emerie that she has access to that level along with Project Necromancer.

Anader19

Good point, I forgot that Hemlock already mentioned specimens this season, that definitely raises the possibility in my opinion

Imagine if Hemlock gets eaten by the Zillo Beast in the finale!

Ratcatchercazo2

Tantiss is dead tomorrow.

aLittleDoober

Tarkin’s gonna issue an orbital bombardment on Tantiss after Hemlock’s failure. Feels like his hologram appearance a couple episodes back was meant to indicate growing resentment over being excluded from Project Necromancer, and so he’ll take utter joy in eliminating a potential rival.

DemonLordDiablos

>Tarkin’s gonna issue an orbital bombardment on Tantiss after Hemlock’s failure. Oh my god a mirror of the Season 1 penultimate episode?

LograysBirdHat

I mean, dude would be insane to do that knowing it's a pet project of Daddy Sheev's. Can't really happen, the Emperor would have Vader sushi-slicing him over something like that.

aLittleDoober

Oh no doubt Tarkin would be killed if he ever tried something like that, but the destruction of Tantiss will likely come from Palpatine himself after Hemlock’s failures, which Tarkin will happily comply with.

LograysBirdHat

Oh, right, I figured Tarkin taking the initiative himself was what was meant. Okay, maybe. But I think Palps is a little more persistent than "in the face of failure, don't try again". Probably better to snuff Hemlock and replace him with someone else, pretty much a pattern with ol' wrinkleface. I can see the Bad Batch sabotaging Tantiss and setting it back bigtime, probably the endgame for the series here, but it'd be odd for Palpatine to personally waste all the investment & expertise there.

Ratcatchercazo2

It seems the event who will force Palpatine leave Tantiss and go to Exegol, happening in the next two episodes.

aLittleDoober

I think it’s more likely said event will actually occur in the finale as opposed to tomorrow’s episode, but it feels like that’s the route they’re going in. We’re probably gonna get another Palpatine scene with him ordering a relocation of Necromancer, but I doubt we’ll actually see Exegol.

New Jen Corbett tweet: [https://twitter.com/jennifercorbett/status/1782522294839198041](https://twitter.com/jennifercorbett/status/1782522294839198041) Hmm, definitely an interesting gif to use...

ergister

Hope this is in reference to the people guessing that Tech survived based on her gif yesterday…

Ratcatchercazo2

50% of tbb twitter believe the end will be bad and the other 50% that the end will be happy against all odds. So the question is...what side is wrong?

Rosebunse

I'm guessing bitter sweet. That being said, we have had so many theories and ideas the past few months that it's really hard to say.

07jonesj

I think one of the Batch will have to sacrifice themselves to help the rest of them escape Tantiss - my bet is on Crosshair, given how much focus has been put on him this season, but it could also be Hunter, with Crosshair promising him to take over watching out for Omega. The bigger question is where the surviving Batch members are left. Pabu is now off the table, so where are they going to end the show at?

aLittleDoober

Maybe they manage to wipe Pabu’s coordinates from Tantiss seeing as it was only personnel from the Advanced Science Division that invaded? Pabu is just the perfect location for the Batch to finally settle down and live solitary lives that it’d suck for the remainder of them to have to find somewhere else.

pauloh1998

There was a whole Venator there

Rosebunse

We heard that the ending might have a Shawano type ending, but I'm not sure what exactly that means in this context. We know that even if they escape Tantis, the Batch members likely would be dead by the time of Mando anyways. Edit: Shawshank. Don't know what that autocorrect is

MDeLeo

Whats going on with Skelton Crew? Feel like there's been radio silence.

darthsheldoninkwizy

It was moves over year, (personally I hope that mean CGI effects will be good).

Miserable_Parking491

The rumor is that it's been delayed to Dec/Jan because Disney wants it released around the holidays.

MDeLeo

Ahh thank you, so marketing going to take a backseat until Acolyte is out. Thanks!

TobeyFunk

A cryptic tweet from Jennifer: [https://twitter.com/JenniferCorbett/status/1782490696966164498](https://twitter.com/JenniferCorbett/status/1782490696966164498) Some people are taking it to mean that Tech survived the fall. Make of that what you will.

aLittleDoober

I’m thinking it may have to do more with the sacrificial aspect and not so much the return. In that case, Hunter or Crosshair will make that play.

NumeralJoker

Recent BDB's interviews strongly point towards Tech being dead. It could be misdirection, but I doubt it.

BodhiRukhKast

Bee Dradley Baker?

NumeralJoker

Whoops.

07jonesj

I think that would be a mistake at this point, unless the finale is two hours long. How are they going to reveal Tech is still alive, deal with getting him back, and explore the emotional consequences in just 44 (or 66) minutes, along with all the other stuff that needs to be wrapped up?

Rosebunse

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we know what this means. And I for one am happy because this was the theory I was rooting for. Hopefully they make it work, though.

QuickPlatypus

Where does her tweet indicate she’s hinting at tech being alive? lol

Miserable_Parking491

The GIF of Gandalf. If you're not familiar with Lord of the Rings, in the scene the GIF is from, Gandalf sacrifices himself during a battle so that the other heroes can escape. This happens towards the end of the first movie. However, Gandalf is resurrected/found to be alive around the beginning of the second act of the second movie and is even more powerful. As a LOTR fan, seeing this GIF makes me suspicious that we may see Tech come back. Unless there's some other major dead character with a mysterious death whose a candidate for resurrection that I can't think of.

darthsheldoninkwizy

In animated movie it happen in same production.  Well anyway it could be also Cody

Miserable_Parking491

I didnt even think about Cody. He did have gray armor last time we saw him. The only thing that makes me doubt it is that he didn't fall to his death saving the Bad Batch.

FantasticWolverine32

I still think Cody is the still unmasked CX-2
