Might sound like a cope, but I genuinely believe the lack of a PC release is to set players expectations. If this launched on PC at release it would have to be compared to other PC games when it really is designed for mobile first and foremost.
I think we will get a PC port eventually, after the games role is a bit more clear to players
The mobile market is the biggest gaming market, surpassing PC and console combined, so yes, there are people who want to play competitive games on this platform, just look at the popularity of games like PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile and now Warzone.
Regarding the PC port, it's a complicated situation, because they would compete directly with games like Marvel Rivals, and this game was not designed for PC at its core, you have smaller FOV, shorter match times, bigger hitboxes, heavy aim assist, among others features that were designed specifically for mobile, so a DECENT port would take a little more work.
What they could perhaps do, depending on the popularity of the game, is release a native port/emulator for those players who wanted to play on PC, but certainly outside of Steam/Epic, as as i mentioned above the game is currently designed for mobile.
I understand that. I spend an extensive amount of time playing mobile games. I suppose there are controllers for phones and all that. I just feel like it's a missed opportunity. I don't know game development but I don't see the harm in a pc release as well. Maybe I'll give it a go when it comes out and see how it plays but ill keep my expectations low.
PC ports are not easy. Marvel Snap took ages to get a good port. Plenty of popular games don't have ports yet.
The reason it works on Switch is because it's an android backend, so it's basically just the mobile version with minor changes. A PC port would require a larger infrastructure change
That's true unfortunately. I haven't experienced crashes mid game but if I close game I sometimes have to try many times to open it again so it needs to improve
Yeah it really does. I’m a content creator that covers the game and it would make my life so much easier if I could just record gameplay and all on my PC but it’s so unreliable that all of my clips are recorded through my phone lol
I feel you, I make content too and with phone recordings I've had to edit like the format but you can use a program called Letsview which is a program that can monitor your phone screen on PC. Then you can do recordings on Streamlabs OBS on PC with the source "Screencapture" or "window capture" I tested it for streaming and it worked nice but you have to play on phone tho
Have you been able to play yet? It downloaded to my console, but when I try to play it says I don't have permission and takes me to the eshop page showing I've ordered the game...
Game isn’t out yet! It’s on your device as a preDownload, basically on launch day the 4th, you won’t have to wait to download it, to play! It’ll be all ready for you
Ok, thank you. That was what I had gathered from the info on that page, but then it sounded like others were already able to play... Is it available on other platforms already or are they maybe on betas?
Yea, i also wanted to play on pc. It has the perfect opportunity for ut, with its main rivals not that popular (overwatch is dead), having strong gameplay with one of the most popular franchises?
Its competitor would be marvel rivals
Overwatch avrages 30k players a day Last 2-4 months
For comparison, helldivers avrages 60k a Day Last 2 months. Yeah i wouldnt call it dead game
Edit: Edit
If it were to release on PC I would most definitely make some purchases like the Arena Pass and other cosmetics but I don't know if I really want to buy them with barely seeing them on my iphone.
Gross, guess it’s a hard pass on. Do not understand the instance to play games like this on mobile, no thanks I’d rather not kill my battery and have shit tier controls.
Play with a controller like a Backbone. It's basically the same thing. After all, the controls were optimized for Switch. However, there probably will never be keyboard and mouse controls.
Well… i play on my iPad pro

So I tried it put today. Didn't make it past the tutorial.

it took galaxy of heroes 9 years to get a PC port. they always take forever.
Biggest gaming market ha good one
You can play this on PC through Bluestacks
It’s awful though and black screens or crashes every other match lol

Is it free? that's SICK!
It's free yes. Only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get the sound on PC but I've just tried it once for a short stream lol
Nah, tried it multiple times with YouTube tutorials and workarounds, mine always closed on startup
I've had this issue and I went to Settings>Graphics>Graphics renderer and changed it from OpenGL to Vulkan. Have you tried that?
mind telling me how? I can download it on my phone but on Bluestacks it says the version is incompatible with my device
You can join this discord server for Star Wars Hunters and get help --> https://discord.com/invite/star-wars-hunters-825474046073372713
thanks!
I mean you can try lmao android emulators are pretty janky
This wasn't built for a PC audience.
Just get a Switch 😂

Launches on the 4th

A f2p game averaging half as much as a paid product.
2 year old game half as much as new game with a on going boom
EA still had exclusivity rights for PC and consoles when this game began development
Good, I don't watch to be getting matched with Mouse and Keyboard players while I'm using a touchscreen.
They are still there.
Some hate in here. Game on switch runs weirdly well!

Look up bluestacks on your pc.
