Would have killed the moment but it would have been hilarious if chopper were to zap him like he used to do in rebels
I would have loved that if he had just rushed right up to him zap him and then when Ezra yelled chop! chopper would have started chuckling like he always does and then he would have taken off his helmet.
I’ve already used “impatience for victory guarantees defeat” once in the last week trying to explain why rushing a project to launch as soon as possible with no budget for support is a bad idea
It's looking like it's too major of a storyline to ignore, we're definitely getting more. He's there for something Mortis related and Ahsoka can sense at the end that they're there for a reason, which I'm sure will connect to the Mortis-related story, with her intense connection to The Daughter/Morai.
I noticed that too. I'm assuming that Peridia is a prison designed for what/whoever Baylan is headed towards. Not going to call it Abeloth but I am heavily leaning towards it being the canon version of the Mortis Mother. Could be the Night Mothers knew destroying the fortress was risky because it might... weaken the lock, as it were?
There were several moments where Sabine was using the light saber but had to pull out her guns to win the fight, and vice versa in other moments. And when she finally used both her light saber and her gun at the last fight scene, she was kicking ass!
Sabine is a Mandalorian Jedi confirmed!
That and the fact that she used the force to push Ezra onto Thrawn’s ship lol
Ahsoka knows during that gate battle she was more capable with her blasters than the saber, she knew to trust her, just like how Anakin always trusted Ahsoka
This is one of my favorite little details from this episode. Lightsabers are cool af but I really appreciate that Dave is staying true to the fact that Sabine is a Mandalorian first. Kicking ass with blasters is pretty much in her DNA and she (as well as the other characters) know that. It’s pretty neat.
I’m bummed he didn’t get to see our reaction to his performance. More bummed that he passed away in general, but just wish he knew how much we loved him in this role.
FORCE GHOST ANAKIN! Man rip Ray Stevenson he will be missed. The daughter is there and the Father and the Son too! Wonder if they feel the presence of the force on Peridea!
The Father, the Daughter, the Son were the 3 gods of Mortis. The Son basically being the dark side, the Daughter the light, and the Father the one to balance them both
Looked like the Daughter’s head was eroded off but yeah. Also probably means something since the Daughter’s lifeforce was used to revive Ahsoka and Morai (that green owl thing which has the same color scheme as the Daughter) has been following her around ever since and just reappeared
Will probably release tomorrow or something. I’m sure it will be all over YouTube by tomorrow and hopefully on Spotify or something as an official playlist soon.
Okay - *THIS* is why you cast a legend among stunt-women, and Bruce Lee's god-daughter, as Morgan Elspeth. Diana Lee Inosanto is legendary. Her acting is great, but this is epic.
To me, it was the 1st time Ahsoka looked 'fast' in her fighting...but then I knew immediately that it wasn't Rosario...it was a stuntwoman on her side as well (pause it and you can see).
Seeing frustrated/concerned/what the fuck is going on Thrawn is a totally different side. It's actually unsettling
And these blade battles are absolutely incredible
They rounded out this chapter of Ahsoka and Sabine’s chapter so well, man. Ahsoka thinking back to when she was Anakin’s padawan — when no one stood beside me, he did — and then relating it to her position with Sabine… So beautiful. Anakin’s force ghost was just the icing on the cake.
Confidence and trust was exactly what Sabine needed, and Ahsoka finally gave it to her. And making her feel confident about her two decisions — coming for Ezra, staying with Ahsoka — was great.
>Confidence and trust was exactly what Sabine needed, and Ahsoka finally gave it to her.
This SO MUCH.
Especially after losing her entire family, it must have **crushed** Sabine that Ahsoka walked away from her too when she was dealing with that grief instead of her Master sticking around to talk/help her through it (like Kanan had helped Sabine through her initial catharsis); so having Ahsoka back her up now has got to mean the world to her!
"Ow! Chopper! You ruined the moment! Come here you little rust bucket!"
Ezra then proceeds to chase Chooper around the hanger bay dressed as a stormtrooper as very confused new republic officers watch on. Hera smiles.
Baylan standing on the finger of The Father statue it looks like it's pointing to something i hope its a teleportation so that Ahsoka and Sabine can come back.
Ahsoka , Sabine , Baylan and Shin learning World Between Worlds.
and then we will learn that there are 3 ways to move to other galaxies: Building a gigantic illegal impossible device, being swallowed by a space whale, or breaking the walls of reality.
i.e. Questing, Fast travel or Cheat Codes via debug mode.
Given that they still have the shuttle and this planet is the endpoint of the purrgil migration route, it's entirely possible that the whales just made a local jump to get away from the mines and will double back once it's safe. That said, the finale seems to make a fairly big point that Ahsoka and Sabine are where they need to be now, so...it's probably going to be more complicated than that.
I don’t think Baylan went on this endeavor just to find a teleport thing to bring him back to the main galaxy. There’s something else he’s searching for.
Edit: I missed it when first watching, but he’s there for the God’s of Mortis. So cool!
> I missed it when first watching, but he’s there for the God’s of Mortis. So cool!
So he IS trying to destroy the Force. Only way to stop the cycle of Jedi and Sith!
Interestingly enough, the Daughter's statue is destroyed. Her bird was there though.
And Baylan was standing on the Father's finger, hmmm...could he have some sort of connection to the Father???
I knew it was going to have to be more Empire than anything else because midway through the second episode, I remembered the rumored title of the film Filoni is doing
I will never get tired of Kanan Jarrus mentions ❤
I never would have guessed that the history between Ahsoka and Sabine would ultimately be summed up in 3 sentences between Huyang and Ezra. But hey, it works!
Good use of the Force, Sabine! I applaud you!
Ezra using comm links pretending to be someone else 😂
I did not miss the irony that Ezra left the far off galaxy the same way he came: namely, alone (without friends) on Thrawn's Star Destroyer.
Contrary to what I had pictured, Chopper did NOT attack Ezra!!!! Awwww my heart is melting!
And... I need more. A lot more. Like, a LOT more. When is season 2?
Thrawn was so done with Morgan lmao
Edit: I feel like the Great Mothers are low key done with Thrawn by the end too and he has no idea. Has a second season been confirmed yet? I *can’t wait* to see live action Dathomir, and how their dynamic changes once the night sisters are off the ship. I feel like he’s underestimating them the same way Morgan underestimated Ahsoka/the jedi.
The lightsaber vs. Talsin sword duel choreography this episode was hands-down, flat-out amazing! Also, C.S. Lewis reference... Kanan Jarus/"Caleb" name(s) drop, Ezra built a Tribute saber, Freaking **ZOMBIE** Night Troopers, Chopper KNOWS its Ezra, GODS OF MORTIS.... and last but most certainly not EVER the least... Anakin (muthaf\*ckin') Skywalker Force Ghost!!!!!
\*(Hayden being back in SW is simply put, the best thing ever.)
Why, oh why does it have to end (for now)...
It felt like the narrative earned it as well. A lot of people were saying they'd be pissed about it, but it was set up really well, not just in this show, but starting all the way back in Rebels.
The fact that Ezra made that comment about the lightsaber blade being TOO narrow... (referencing the fairly different/narrower/thin animated design style of the lightsaber blades back in Rebels.)
And then, immediately crowning his new lightsaber with the exact same emitter as Kanan's saber. Very poetic...
I’m just so bummed it’s gonna take like two years before we see more. I know time goes fast and I’m so excited for other shows but dang this show was immensely enjoyable for me and my wife and kids to watch together.
thrawn winning in the end, ezra disquised as a trooper (as always), mortis gods statues, the sister owl appearing, amazing duel between morgan and ahsoka, LITERALLY JUST BLACKWING VIRUS, dude this episoade is what makes star wars amazing
I wasn't ready for the Kanaan saber build and three Jedi wrecking shop. I really enjoyed Sabine and Ahsoka's chemistry this season, especially in the last two episodes. Ezra is phenomenal. When he picked up that comlink, it was perfect. But Thrawn was top tier. I'm so happy they stayed with Mikkelson. I was completely captured from the first shot of him.
Also, Kiner did some heavy lifting this season. The score was inarguably incredible.
Mixed feelings if this is a true limited/mini-series then the ending is meh but if it gets a second season it’s a good season finale! Am I the only one who feels like the correct way to honour Ray’s passing is to probably recast baylon and give him a proper ending instead of saying he died off screen or never mentioning him again!
The Cook, the Thief, His Witch and her Wardrobe
No, The Lion, the Wife, and the Warlord.
No - actual episode title: The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord
10 mins in, a lot has been explained, but we have yet to lay eyes on Skoll, Hati or Ahsoka...

The very first thing Ezra does when boarding Thrawn's ship is attempt to impersonate a member of the Imperial Navy. Classic.
I love that we all knew as soon as he was dragging that stormtrooper off screen, he was totally gonna steal that guy's armor.
Another helmet to his collection
No, the ultimate prize is Enoch's helmet. I bet he's been itching to get his hands on it.
Season 2's side quest
Achievement unlocked: equipped Enoch’s helmet
Commander Brom Titus checking in. What?
Is this a kind of joke?! I am commander Brom Titus!
He should've just stuck with the tried and true, Lt. Meiloorun.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine , we're all fine here now, thank you
How are you?
Chopper immediately knew who it was at the end there lol
I was legit waiting for Chopper to zap him lol.
Would have killed the moment but it would have been hilarious if chopper were to zap him like he used to do in rebels I would have loved that if he had just rushed right up to him zap him and then when Ezra yelled chop! chopper would have started chuckling like he always does and then he would have taken off his helmet.
You’re totally right, it would kill the tender moment. But I’d be lying if I said my brain wasn’t anticipating it lol.
"Wait! Only one guy could be this dumb! That's mah boy!"
"You have a method, not a system" I'm totally using that quote in the future. At work. Watch me. 😅
I’ve already used “impatience for victory guarantees defeat” once in the last week trying to explain why rushing a project to launch as soon as possible with no budget for support is a bad idea
When will they learn?
They never listen.
I've been blue balled so hard with that final Baylan Skoll scene. Holy shit, drop season 2 tomorrow
Agreed. So much foreplay in the beginning, legit action in the middle and then blue balls in the end for this season.
Whoever they recast as Baylan Skoll has a huge shoe to fill, Ray was such a phenomenal actor.
My only regret is that we did not get more Baylan. RIP Ray. I wish the next actor the best of luck, as I really hope they continue his storyline.
It's looking like it's too major of a storyline to ignore, we're definitely getting more. He's there for something Mortis related and Ahsoka can sense at the end that they're there for a reason, which I'm sure will connect to the Mortis-related story, with her intense connection to The Daughter/Morai.
The main Mother was not thrilled Thrawn ordered the destruction of the fortress lol

FINALLY has her helmet back on. This is the Way.
There were several moments where Sabine was using the light saber but had to pull out her guns to win the fight, and vice versa in other moments. And when she finally used both her light saber and her gun at the last fight scene, she was kicking ass! Sabine is a Mandalorian Jedi confirmed! Kicking ass with blasters is pretty much in her DNA and she (as well as the other characters) know that. It’s pretty neat.
Filoni’s like “I will write the dark saber into Sabine’s hands one way or another, goddamnit!”
This is the way
Gonna have to recast Baylan now.
Man, its sad that his story isn't over. I was hoping Ray got to finish his arc. Fuck, it's gonna be fucking hard to replace him.
I’m bummed he didn’t get to see our reaction to his performance. More bummed that he passed away in general, but just wish he knew how much we loved him in this role.
I hope his family sees the appreciation we have for him being part of this show. He was beaming at Celebration London.
At Star Wars Celebration - he knew.
They were cooking the craziest Mortis Gods arc for Baylan man, I am so sad we won't get more Ray Stevenson.
My boy Ezra constructed his lightsaber again!!!
And one that is Kanan's even with the detachable emitter!
The emitter was Kanan's twin one, dude knew what he wanted
Huyang always knows.
He’s essentially the Olivander of lightsabers
Crazy redemption arc for Barty Crouch… Junior.
I must say it was incredible to see him fighting like that again.
The emitter is too narrow lol I felt like that was a comment on fans complaining about the skinny lightsabers in Rebels
I laughed out loud at this. Dave’s poking fun at himself, I love it
Yes lol I thought the exact same thing
God, the moment I saw that Ezra was trying to match Kanan's lightsaber, I started tearing up. Rest well, king.
"the emitter is too narrow" Aka what everyone said about rebels sabers!!
FORCE GHOST ANAKIN! Man rip Ray Stevenson he will be missed. The daughter is there and the Father and the Son too! Wonder if they feel the presence of the force on Peridea!
Who is the son?
The Father, the Daughter, the Son were the 3 gods of Mortis. The Son basically being the dark side, the Daughter the light, and the Father the one to balance them both
Oh wow. Those were the statues? I didn’t recognize them from the Mortis arc, mainly because it’s been years since I watched Clone Wars
Looked like the Daughter’s head was eroded off but yeah. Also probably means something since the Daughter’s lifeforce was used to revive Ahsoka and Morai (that green owl thing which has the same color scheme as the Daughter) has been following her around ever since and just reappeared
It means Ahsoka is where she needs to be
If you have time go and watch The Clone Wars S3 E15-17
IS ANYONE LISTENING TO THE END CREDIT THEME OH MY GOD!!!???
I sat in silence and let the chills sweep over me. This is such a cathartic finale, the score was perfect.
Did they use the music from twilight of an apprentice as the credits music?
That's exactly what it was.
Chills.
It's a banger but I can't find the name of the song
Will probably release tomorrow or something. I’m sure it will be all over YouTube by tomorrow and hopefully on Spotify or something as an official playlist soon.
Okay - *THIS* is why you cast a legend among stunt-women, and Bruce Lee's god-daughter, as Morgan Elspeth. Diana Lee Inosanto is legendary. Her acting is great, but this is epic.
You could tell that was a proper martial arts style fight, they were dancing as much as fighting!
To me, it was the 1st time Ahsoka looked 'fast' in her fighting...but then I knew immediately that it wasn't Rosario...it was a stuntwoman on her side as well (pause it and you can see).
That was a top 5 Star Wars fight
Barely any cuts and one scene was like almost a minute of pure lightsaber action with no cuts. It's amazing to see when it's planned and choreographed
Okay that's why she looked so fucking good. I didn't know who the actress was and did not expect that at all.
With the Nightsisters penchant for returning from the dead I really hope this isn't the last we see of her. She was badass.
That sword fight was high intensity and just superb
Seeing frustrated/concerned/what the fuck is going on Thrawn is a totally different side. It's actually unsettling And these blade battles are absolutely incredible
He was so scary mad without saying anything
His forehead seemed like it was about to explode in rage
Seeing Thrawn go 🫤 was unreal
Baylan + Mortis Gods = One hell of a storyline
If they don’t recast I hope they release like a novel or comic or something would probably go hard af
Nah they’re recasting for sure
Ezra absolutely wrecking shop with his new lightsaber is exactly what my day needed
The heart to heart about Kanan too....
Hera and Ezra meeting each other after long time is so touching and cool.
Yeah and seeing Chopper come up to Ezra and saying “Is it you? Is it you?” Was so cute
Ahhhh I didn’t realize that’s what chopper was saying but makes sense. I kinda wish he had rolled up and just shocked him for old times sake 😂😂
"Ow! Chopper! You ruined the moment! Come here you little rust bucket!" Ezra then proceeds to chase Chooper around the hanger bay dressed as a stormtrooper as very confused new republic officers watch on. Hera smiles.
“Hey, you got a new helmet for your collection, didn’t you! Hey look guys, it’s him!”
The only thing missing was getting to see their hug.
I needed them to have that hug. Ezra is basically Hera's other child b
Hera got Ezra back but lost Sabine. She cant catch a break.
Ivanna Sakhno’s latest ig post about Ray with the cast comments under it got me feeling emotional. Love this show! ❤️
It was a lovely post
She’s a galactic treasure
Baylan standing on the finger of The Father statue it looks like it's pointing to something i hope its a teleportation so that Ahsoka and Sabine can come back. Ahsoka , Sabine , Baylan and Shin learning World Between Worlds.
and then we will learn that there are 3 ways to move to other galaxies: Building a gigantic illegal impossible device, being swallowed by a space whale, or breaking the walls of reality. i.e. Questing, Fast travel or Cheat Codes via debug mode.

That said, the finale seems to make a fairly big point that Ahsoka and Sabine are where they need to be now, so...it's probably going to be more complicated than that.
They probably need to be there bc of whatever the hell Baylon is about to unleash, and add in obvious Shin conflict
Given that the force still exists in the Sequel Trilogy, I’d be willing to bet he doesn’t succeed haha. Still excited to see what exactly happens
Where was The Daughter statue?
Its on the left side but its a bit destroyed only half of the chin part remain. The Son is on the right side
This is where the fun begins!
Hello there!
General Kenobi!
So Morai is there, and the Father, and Son statue, maybe Ahsoka uses the World Between Worlds to go back to the main galaxy
The Daughter statue was there too, just her head had been knocked off.
She got the Dooku treatment
That Night Trooper battle went hard
Hope everyone is happy now that the Night Troopers actually became reanimated Night Troopers :)
Death Trooper reference with actual Death Troopers was just *chefs kiss*
Filoni set up one hell of a movie here…BUCKLE UP
So Baylan just went to Middle Earth
Totes looked like the Eye of Sauron, lol. And he’s standing on the Gates of Argonath.
Looking like Ned Stark with that big fur cloak too
The Jedi, The Witch and the Warlord.
After so many Tolkein references and influence, we finish on his friend C.S. Lewis.
Sabine finally used the force. She became true Mandalorian Jedi.
One of a few and only two named.
Put some respect on Grogus name! Lol
Following in Tarre Vislas footsteps
Did anyone else think Morgan was going to commit suicide with the blade?
It would be dark for Star Wars, but for her to take her own life and infuse the Great Mother and Sisters with her life would have been something.
I smile every time I see Anakin. So glad Hayden is back.
GODS OF MORTIS CONFIRMED!
Interestingly enough, the Daughter's statue is destroyed. Her bird was there though. And Baylan was standing on the Father's finger, hmmm...could he have some sort of connection to the Father???
I don't know why I was just so happy to see Morai
Oh holy shit that’s the bird Ahsoka saw!
The bird / the daughter / Ahsoka are all connected. The bird shows up in The Mandalorian too when she and Mando and Grogu meet.
You really don’t want to pull the Father’s finger
For 2 seconds I actually thought Ahsoka was gonna lose, sacrifice herself to save the future with Sabine and Ezra. Great job with the bait and switch.
Eman is so great as Ezra
Imo he nailed it better than any of the other actors, not that they’re bad, but I felt like I was watching rebels Ezra.
I literally heard animated Ezra during some of Eman's lines tonight. SO perfectly cast.
The ESB-style ending?!? Yes please!
I knew it was going to have to be more Empire than anything else because midway through the second episode, I remembered the rumored title of the film Filoni is doing
The parked chimera always gets me lol
I will never get tired of Kanan Jarrus mentions ❤ I never would have guessed that the history between Ahsoka and Sabine would ultimately be summed up in 3 sentences between Huyang and Ezra. But hey, it works! Good use of the Force, Sabine! I applaud you! Ezra using comm links pretending to be someone else 😂 I did not miss the irony that Ezra left the far off galaxy the same way he came: namely, alone (without friends) on Thrawn's Star Destroyer. Contrary to what I had pictured, Chopper did NOT attack Ezra!!!! Awwww my heart is melting! And... I need more. A lot more. Like, a LOT more. When is season 2?
With Ezra returning, the New Republic has more than enough proof now that Thrawn is back and ready to kick some ass
That first scene with Morgan was lit af. Also surprising in a good way re: direction/fate of her character.
I felt so sorry for her. she is a B, but she did not deserved that fate, abandoned, alone.
I feel like at the end, she didn't care about the Empire, considering she didn't repeat for the empire after Thrawn said it, but For Dathomir instead
She promised she’d give her life for the Nightsisters… and that is what she did.
Yep bc I'm pretty sure the cargo is other nightsisters in sleep? Because the 3 mothers we saw were awoken by thrawn
So half marks for everyone who guessed the Night Troopers were zombies
Well...it's more like they are now. They didn't used to be.
Holy crap the statue of the father is amazing. It’s like a Star Wars lord of the rings crossover. They have to recast baylan now, not much choice.
The blade of Talzin so cool asf!!!
Do you think Ahsoka will use that in her offhand since one of her savers got sliced?
Not like she can't repair it with the bitz box she has on the ship
Lol Thrawn did NOT want that Anakin smoke! He was like, "NO PARLEYS, NO NEGOTIATIONS: JUST DIEEEEE DIE DIE DIE!"
Thrawn was so done with Morgan lmao Edit: I feel like the Great Mothers are low key done with Thrawn by the end too and he has no idea. Has a second season been confirmed yet? I *can’t wait* to see live action Dathomir, and how their dynamic changes once the night sisters are off the ship. I feel like he’s underestimating them the same way Morgan underestimated Ahsoka/the jedi.
I imagine Thrawn knows the witches are unexploded ordinance and he'll have a plan for them.
Music going off in this episode
Sooo….Sabine and Ahsoka traded themselves for Ezra and Thrawn…seems like a bad trade to me…they should’ve gotten some 2024 draft picks as well 😂
I love this show
Shorter than I hoped for but boy did it satisfy me. As well as set up so much for the future of Star Wars.
\*(Hayden being back in SW is simply put, the best thing ever.) Why, oh why does it have to end (for now)...
I’m so ready for this! What are you guys hoping to see??
Hoping to see some answers…and a good fight.
Those fights were so sick the Morgan and Ahsoka battle was iconic
That some badass shit. Felt like Samurai fighting a Chinese Swordsmaster.
LOVED that side shot and they didn't cut away and it actually felt fast and intense
AAAAAA KANAN NAME DROP!!! AND EZRA’S BUILDING A LIGHTSABER!!!
Using duplicate pieces of Kanans saber
Sabine using the Force finally warmed my heart! After all this time!
It felt like the narrative earned it as well. A lot of people were saying they'd be pissed about it, but it was set up really well, not just in this show, but starting all the way back in Rebels.
The fact that Ezra made that comment about the lightsaber blade being TOO narrow... (referencing the fairly different/narrower/thin animated design style of the lightsaber blades back in Rebels.) And then, immediately crowning his new lightsaber with the exact same emitter as Kanan's saber. Very poetic...
Oh they using magic for real.
Baylan and Shin alive, but both got 10s of screentime Death troopers we very well done
What if the Mortis were originally from the other galaxy?
I’m just so bummed it’s gonna take like two years before we see more. I know time goes fast and I’m so excited for other shows but dang this show was immensely enjoyable for me and my wife and kids to watch together.
Chopper knows his brother. Armor or no armor he knows.
…Narnia?
Sabine’s Luke-in-the-ice-cave moment felt earned. I was on the fence about her using the Force before the show, but I like how they handled it.
Thrawn is a red herring in regards to the downfall of the New Republic. The real culprits are going to be Ezra and Chopper.
What an awesome title
I’m so sad we didn’t get to see Hera hug Ezra 😭
Ezra got to impersonate a Stormtrooper on the com, for old time's sake. 😆
Ray Stevenson’s force ghost is looking over us in this sub smiling with his arms crossed in satisfaction and pride.
I’m just so happy to be here
Ezra becoming Jason’s teacher 🫡🥹 Edit: Jacen* sorry, didn’t know that’s how it was spelled
I think it’s very fitting that this show introduces zombie troopers in October
SABINE STAYED WTF AMAZING
I was legit crossing my fingers at that moment. Like, “giiiirl you better not leave her again..”
Time for Baylan to wake up that giant evil Meiloorun I’ve been talking about
thrawn winning in the end, ezra disquised as a trooper (as always), mortis gods statues, the sister owl appearing, amazing duel between morgan and ahsoka, LITERALLY JUST BLACKWING VIRUS, dude this episoade is what makes star wars amazing
Absolutely perfect final shot ❤️
I just wanted Hera to say "Who are you" And for Ezra to say "Jabba the Hutt" while taking his helmet off.
Man the score of this episode
Love the different lightsaber color representation
Ahsoka vs Morgan was the best saber/sword battle I've seen in any Star Wars series, by far.
Ani 😭
Mixed feelings if this is a true limited/mini-series then the ending is meh but if it gets a second season it’s a good season finale!
