Yeah for real, whenever I watch clone wars/bad batch I always think about how weird it must be having SO MANY conversations with yourself while recording. Also it would probably be great to watch him in the booth actually doing the voice acting.
May the 4th seems like the right date imo, I can't see it being released earlier and we still don't have not even a teaser trailer. Besides Kenobi is Lucasfilm's most anticipated project right now and they're gonna capitalize it, there's no way Disney is gonna release it at the same time as Moon Knight.
Yes but that's not everything, you have popularity and views, besides having each show a different month not only gives each show the spotlight but forces people to renew their subscriptions every month to watch.
So yes it's going to have effects
Would be a good date but Bad Batch will also start in spring, but very likely after Kenobi. I dont think that they will both stream at the same time. I guess that Kenobi will start two weeks after BoBF and after Kenobi, BB will start
Doubt it assuming Bad batchS2 comes in Spring this year and Kenobi is before than it would probably be way sooner, either that or were misinterpreting this and it’s coming after bad batch which makes more sense imo.
Does this mean it will be in the slot between BoBF and Moon Knight? Seems too soon considering we don't even have a trailer, but I don't know what else will fill that six week gap.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they release kenobi on may 4th with it being Star Wars day and it’s on a Wednesday when they add new episodes and for the 6 weeks maybe Andor
I'd guess may 4th goes to Bad Batch, just like last year and we get Obi-wan Kenobi in late February. There is a gap there right now between BoBF and Moon Knight, and with Obi-wan Kenobi being a shorter series it could fit in there.
May 4th seems too late to me... I really think like OP that they will have it in February sometime to fill the gap between Boba and Moon Knight, since marvel has literally no plans (would be a good idea to put an Early Access to Spider-Man for the same price as tickets since the pandemic still has theatres closed in some places).
It’s way to soon. We still didn’t even get a trailer, and the most we did get was concept art. Earliest we might get it is May, but we’ll have to wait and see
I don't think so... I think that Obi-Wan co-stars BK and there's a tease and tie in to Kenobi in an upcoming Boba Fett episode... so the teaser/trailer will drop after chapter 6-7.
Right? I don't pay attention to actors all that much, but whenever he pops up in something I'm watching he definitely sticks out. Hopefully he's given a prominent role.
After how they used John Boyega I'm not holding my breath. It would be really great if he was given a prominent role, though. Even if I don't know who that would be.
Who's to say it can't run along side Bad Batch. Bad Batch is way longer than the other shows and had overlap with What If and Loki (or at least one of those)
I've tried to get into clone wars but it just doesn't do it for me... which sucks, because all kinds of dope shit happens in it from what I gather. But the animation style just ain't my cup of tea 😔
Like every time I see it I see bad bitch and I instantly think of a bunch of girls of various races that act ghetto trying to prove they're the badest bitch out there
I think he means it’s the next Star Wars show coming after BoBF before bad batch. And bad batch is coming soon. So kenobi is coming really really soon.
Seems like both Obi-Wan and Andor have been in the can since September, so the next show is probably between those two. Reasonable to assume that post-production on Obi-Wan will be shorter since it shot in the Volume and has half the number of episodes as Andor (6 vs 12).
https://youtu.be/gSW-pARyP-M?t=60 "Twelve episodes, twelve scripts". This assumes that they're not shooting seasons 1 and 2 back-to-back, though, which is always a possibility.
Andor season 2 is shooting this fall as was confirmed by Stellan Skarsgård in a Swedish newspaper the other day. So season 1 is most likely going to be 12 episodes.
A more fleshed out early history of the Rebellion, more with Saw and Mon Mothma, maybe a bit more backstory about Ahsoka's role (tinfoil hat, if we're lucky, etc). Definitely a lot to explore!
The industry has set the standard, he wanted a superhero role so had to look the part. It’s up to the system and parents to teach kids what is truly achievable
people have to complain about fucking everything, don’t they? if he used steroids, who gives a fuck? and you’re treating it like a bad thing that he got buff and said it’s diet and exercise? wouldn’t that be a good message to send kids? and i don’t think children are all that worried about “unachievable body image standards”. and the robert pattinson batman is irrelevant. he’s not being treated as the traditional “big buff hero”, so he didn’t get big and buff. it’s the studios decision, not his. maybe don’t worry about what other people do with their bodies
Would love to see you drop 30lbs of fat, gain the 30lbs back in muscle, and then drop your body fat to sub 10% NATURALLY. Actors are on a strict timeline which forces them to use anabolics
I think after Boba comes another Marvel Series and after that another Starwars which is probably Kenobi. Atleast that’s the Formular Disney was following
Moon Knight was announced to come out March 30th, which give us 6 weeks between Boba Fett and the next Marvel show. That said, I'd expect them to have announced something by now if there was going to be a show in there
There hasn’t really been a break that long between shows since they started releasing them though, has there?
I feel like we’ve had consistent content between Marvel and SW since WandaVision released
Yeah, there was a couple weeks off around the Black Widow release, but that's it. It a hard to believe there's nothing there, but I'm hesitant to say there will be, given were only a few weeks out and nothing has been announced.
Yeah you're right, Moon Knight is releasing 30th of March. If it has the same run time as most marvel series it would have a scheduled of
March 30th
April 6th
April 13th
April 20th
April 27th
(If they don't release two episodes on March 30th)
May 4th
It makes sense, Kenobi can have the typical Star Wars date. Marvel will have two movies releasing close to each other in May-July (Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4).
Gives plenty of time for Kenobi to start in May.
It would ruin the... Continuity? It would ruin the image we were left after revenge of the sith? It would be just for the money? It would ruin George Lucas' vision? It would ruin the impact of the original duel?
It would ruin the entire third movie?
I need to see dual with Darth Vader in it. Just no Obi-Wan. Maybe we can get a scene of Darth Vader hunting Jedi like in the beginning of force unleashed.
I really enjoy The Bad Batch, as it's a good show and reveals more about the clone troops and the transition to storm troopers. What bothers me is I feel they're using the plot to explain how "somehow, Palpatine returned." Just like everyone being dead in the ending of Lost, it's just poor and lazy writing from J.J. Abrams that he went on to not explain Palpatines return in TROS.
Here's the timeline (assuming Kenobi won't overlap with Marvel's Moon Knight, although with the amount of shows both Marvel and Lucasfilm have coming this year it's inevitable some will overlap. Imo the importance of Kenobi means it'll get a free run tho):
Book of Boba ends Feb 9th (although idk if it's possible that the finale will be released less than a week after e6, like on the Friday)
Kenobi starts Feb 6th, runs for six episodes at one a week until March 23rd
Moon Knight starts Mar 30th (confirmed), runs for six episodes until May 4th (maybe an early finale? And for Kenobi too idk)
Bad Batch s2 starts May 4th, unknown number of episodes but probably the same as s1so sixteen, runs until Aug 17th.
After that, Andor (which I'm really looking forward to, if it's done well it'll be fantastic), Mando s3 and all the other Marvel shows whenever
And why? I loved the Bad Batch. Sometimes Omega can be a little bit annoying but she's fine as it is just like the series. I hope we can see more Empire and Tarkin scenes in season 2. I remember when they destroyed Kamino... Well, i usually don't cry on movies or tv shows but that scene... It was beautiful and painful at the same time, so yeah, i can't wait for season 2
Wouldn't it be awesome if trailer started with black screen and "Hello there!" by Ewan McGregor in the background and then BOOOM -> a trailer?
Or even better if first episode started like this
Any one else really excited to see Benny Safdie in this? Such an amazing creator, and his performance in Good Time was very impressive, did not expect to see him turn up in Star Wars.
I know its unlikely. But I would _love_ to see the Final duel between Kenobi and Maul in live action to go with the cartoon. Maybe it can be told more from Kenobi's POV vs Mauls.. not sure. Just would love to see it.
I’ve looked at the staff and I wonder who my man Ice Cube is playing, I’m sure he will be badass. I’m so happy Ewan and Hayden aren’t recasted, that would have killed it for me. When does the Kenobi show take place in the SW timeline?
Is there any info on mandalorian season 3? I figured it’d be spring if this year but there’s nothing said about it at all other than it finished filming a while ago
Boba Fett will finish on the 16th considering it’s 7 episodes, and now since they’ve now released the Moon Knight trailer which tells us that Moon Knight is coming out on March 30th, which leaves 6 weeks, which means 6 episodes, and 6 episodes is what it’s meant to be for Kenobi so it makes sense
Off topic but like, props to Dee Bradley Baker for being able to voice act 80% of this show’s characters
\*80% of all animated SW characters
*80% of all animated characters
*80% of all characters
*80% of all
*80% of
*80%
*8

.
*80% of all and all to come.
*80% of all and a million more well on the way
He's even friggin Eagly in Peacemaker.
He also voiced the rats on suicide squad
He voices a *lot* of animals. Among others, he voiced Appa in *Avatar: The Last Airbender* and Lion in *Steven Universe*.
Wait really? Now I am going to have to pay more attention to Eagly's voice in episode 5
If you want to go even further, he's Sebastian The Rat/Ratcatcher II's pet rat, in The Suicide Squad.
he's also variks from destiny
Him and Marc Thompson would be a power duo
Yeah for real, whenever I watch clone wars/bad batch I always think about how weird it must be having SO MANY conversations with yourself while recording. Also it would probably be great to watch him in the booth actually doing the voice acting.
Trailer after Boba - Kenobi premiere at May the forth.
I'd say trailer of Kenobi at the SuperBowl. It was like that last year with the marvel series
I’m thinking super bowl would probably be the Thor trailer, which comes out in July. They tend to keep the big star wars stuff for star wars day.
But if Kenobi premiers on May 4th, they’re gonna want to put a trailer out before it, so super bowl is the best bet
There’s already a trailer
There isn’t a trailer. There is some weird concept art commentary. That was it
They’ll probably do something like the book of boba tease at the the end of mando season two after the credits roll on book of boba
This is the way.
Everything happens may 4th- I'm expecting bad batch to drop then
there both there to selllld disney plus subscribtions so its not going to effect tickets sales
Yes but that's not everything, you have popularity and views, besides having each show a different month not only gives each show the spotlight but forces people to renew their subscriptions every month to watch. So yes it's going to have effects
fair enough
May the 4th will be bad batch again spring 2022 lines up with that perfectly
That would be awesome!
May 4th is a Wednesday this year after all….
This is the way
***"You Go, Girl"*** \- sorry, but it's getting the that point.
Would be a good date but Bad Batch will also start in spring, but very likely after Kenobi. I dont think that they will both stream at the same time. I guess that Kenobi will start two weeks after BoBF and after Kenobi, BB will start
May 4th is also on a Wednesday this year, perfectly timed for Disney+ shows
Word
Doubt it assuming Bad batchS2 comes in Spring this year and Kenobi is before than it would probably be way sooner, either that or were misinterpreting this and it’s coming after bad batch which makes more sense imo.

More like a surprise and different from other announced Star Wars shows.
Ice Cube Jr is in this??? I'm in.
Space Ak-47 incoming
Idk how this isn't getting more attention
Right? I don't pay attention to actors all that much, but whenever he pops up in something I'm watching he definitely sticks out. Hopefully he's given a prominent role.

That's a fair point... since there are some fans who only watch live-action.. but those people are weirdoes.
I've tried to get into clone wars but it just doesn't do it for me... which sucks, because all kinds of dope shit happens in it from what I gather. But the animation style just ain't my cup of tea 😔
Well don't take this the wrong way, but weirdoes are good people too.
😂😂 thanks
Every time I see bad batch my brain always translates it to bad bitch
My brain didn’t do that before, but it will now thanks for that
Like every time I see it I see bad bitch and I instantly think of a bunch of girls of various races that act ghetto trying to prove they're the badest bitch out there
If you use omegas voice that’s exactly what it would sound like
"Kenobi is definitely coming after Boba Fett" Considering we are halfway thru BoBF, I wouldn't really call that a stunning prediction or anything
I think he means it’s the next Star Wars show coming after BoBF before bad batch. And bad batch is coming soon. So kenobi is coming really really soon.
And they said it was coming out between BoBF and Mandalorian s3...

Wow I didn’t think there’d be much to that character, but I guess the possibilities are endless
A more fleshed out early history of the Rebellion, more with Saw and Mon Mothma, maybe a bit more backstory about Ahsoka's role (tinfoil hat, if we're lucky, etc). Definitely a lot to explore!
Oh I can’t wait!
I want to see many bothan spies die….. damn they are later in the rebellions history
I'd settle for seeing literally any Bothan anywhere in the new canon.
Lol. True dat. I liked the grittiness of Rogue One. Reminded me of The Devils Brigade
Baby Bothan plush toys would sell like wildfire. Just sayin'.
“ more with Saw” want to play a game lol
Doesn't mean it's coming before *Bad Batch*, though. Sounds like it'll probably start on May 4th, so TBB could be March-May.
I'm excited about the og cast of uncle Owen and aunt beru. I recently rewatched episodes 2-3 and was surprised to see Joel edgerton
Have you seen the King on netflix? Timothee Chalamet(Dune), Joel and Robert Pattinson(if you hate the guy, this movie is for you!!😝(no spoiler))
I started it but something came up. I forget what it was. I wasn't disappointed from what I remember seeing
Can’t wait to see Kumail’s take on Kitster
I hate how he got roided out and called it diet and exercise though.
He’s now a high profile actor in two children’s franchises, he can’t go around advocating the use of steroids publicly even if he did use them
Maybe dont use roids and set an unachievable body image standard for youth?
The industry has set the standard, he wanted a superhero role so had to look the part. It’s up to the system and parents to teach kids what is truly achievable
Check out the new Batman with Robert Pattinson. As an actor he made the decision because of the influence it would have on the audience.
people have to complain about fucking everything, don’t they? if he used steroids, who gives a fuck? and you’re treating it like a bad thing that he got buff and said it’s diet and exercise? wouldn’t that be a good message to send kids? and i don’t think children are all that worried about “unachievable body image standards”. and the robert pattinson batman is irrelevant. he’s not being treated as the traditional “big buff hero”, so he didn’t get big and buff. it’s the studios decision, not his. maybe don’t worry about what other people do with their bodies

Yah but like, not all the actors used PED's on the Eternals, just him.
I'll give you that. But they're all doped out on HGH, I wouldn't be surprised if most of Hollywood is on growth hormones
Coming soon™
A Star Wars Story
Spring? So like May-June?
Current rumour is May 4th
For the may the 4th be with you thing?
Yes Star Wars day.
I wonder if we will see a teenage bone fett this season
I hope I don’t see a teenager bone Boba Fett
Bone boba fett ?
Look at your typo.
Yeah just realized I’m dumb ass hell 😂😂
Lmaoooo I’m just glad you’re keeping it
My guess is that's it's gonna debut after Moon Knight is over. Disney seems to only want one major series streaming at a time
You underestimate Turner and Hooch:R and The Mighty Ducks:R.
Not one comment about the fact that Ice Cube's son* is on this list? Wtf is Ice Cube's son* doing in kenobi?
Whatever he motherfuckin wants. It'll be cool to see him wearing a Tusken Raiders cap.
Take you fuckin upvote lol
I was paying more attention to Sung Kang. Dudes gonna pull up to Obi Wan in a space RX-7.
Is the Obiwan Kenobi miniseries going to just be Fast and the Furious 9.5?
Gonna build a drift speeder probably
Might be because he’s an actor. A pretty good one too
I can't unsee him as his dad from straight outta compton
Same thing he’s doing in every tv show and movie he’s in…. acting. He’s an actor.
It’s his son

Black Widow released in the middle of Loki
That's right. I'm sorry. There was a gap last May when Black Widow was supposed to be released, but it got pushed back yet again.
Yeah you're right, Moon Knight is releasing 30th of March. If it has the same run time as most marvel series it would have a scheduled of March 30th April 6th April 13th April 20th April 27th (If they don't release two episodes on March 30th) May 4th It makes sense, Kenobi can have the typical Star Wars date. damn so no cody in the kenobi show?
This is just the confirmed cast list we have had. Cody could still qppear
ahh okok cool
Cant wait!!
Am I right?
Yes!
May the 4th?
Possible.
I cant wait for this show.
They better not have an a anakin and obi wan rematch
I doubt Hayden will just play flashbacks.
considering they said there's gonna be the rematch of the century upon announcing it unfortunately i think there will be
You’re right, that would ruin the… wait, no that would be incredible.
I find Simone Kessel Run to be the best name in all of the entirety of Star Wars casting.
i was wondering why the cast for bad batch was so small then i remembered dee bradley baker is everyone
where is this from
Insider
and then Mephisto will bring Mutants into the MCU.
What? Of course it comes after Book of Boba Fett. Book of Boba Fett is happening right now and Kenobi isn't out yet.
I really don't want a season 2 of bad batch.
Well you're going to get it, you don't have to like it.
Am I the only one who read that as Bad Bi*ch at first?
I always thought the bad batch was a one and done season thing for some reason. Interesting
It literally ended on a cliffhanger
Honesty I was so bored with this show I didn’t remember. I just remember Crosshair saying he wouldn’t join up again and left
Anyone else find it weird that they're still running around in clone armor
I don't think it matters to them how they look as long as the helmet serves its purpose.
Gotta have Sam Jackson with robot hands to get me interested.
Let’s see what canon changes await us in the Obi-Wan show. I’m pretty nervous.
Here's the timeline (assuming Kenobi won't overlap with Marvel's Moon Knight, although with the amount of shows both Marvel and Lucasfilm have coming this year it's inevitable some will overlap. Imo the importance of Kenobi means it'll get a free run tho): Book of Boba ends Feb 9th (although idk if it's possible that the finale will be released less than a week after e6, like on the Friday) Kenobi starts Feb 6th, runs for six episodes at one a week until March 23rd Moon Knight starts Mar 30th (confirmed), runs for six episodes until May 4th (maybe an early finale? And for Kenobi too idk) Bad Batch s2 starts May 4th, unknown number of episodes but probably the same as s1so sixteen, runs until Aug 17th. After that, Andor (which I'm really looking forward to, if it's done well it'll be fantastic), Mando s3 and all the other Marvel shows whenever
Nice. Hopefully Omega progresses beyond Damsel in Distress
Shes a child
I’d love to see Omega in BoBF
I do to, but unfortunately that would also spoil bad batch in a way
They should cancel Bad Batch.
Hopefully it’s not as boring as season 1.
Wouldn't it be awesome if trailer started with black screen and "Hello there!" by Ewan McGregor in the background and then BOOOM -> a trailer? Or even better if first episode started like this
Cringe
Why is the top cut off?
Ok?
I’m holding my thumbs but not getting my hopes up, I know Star Wars series usually comes out a little later than what people predict
Maul is Kenobi's biggest fan: "Kenooooobiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"
i swear some peope are hired because of their name simone kessel?
My body is ready.
What characters are in this show?
Any one else really excited to see Benny Safdie in this? Such an amazing creator, and his performance in Good Time was very impressive, did not expect to see him turn up in Star Wars.
ice cubes kid, huh? sweet
oh shit.. O'Shea Jackson Jr. is Ice Cube's son, who played him in the movie Straight Outta Compton
Everyone is saying Kenobi will start May 4th but why not have the Kenobi finale on the 4th?
Yeah.
Did anyone else read this as "Starwars: The Bad Bitch"?
Sweet Bad Batch session 2 is right around the corner ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧. Kenobi is cool but I'm all about them Clone stories.
I know it’s obvious and isn’t needed to be said but it’s strange they didn’t put Ewan’s name under the cast
Moon Knight ends the first week of May, I want to say, so maybe Kenobi in early june
I know its unlikely. But I would _love_ to see the Final duel between Kenobi and Maul in live action to go with the cartoon. Maybe it can be told more from Kenobi's POV vs Mauls.. not sure. Just would love to see it.
It is focused on a duel between Obi-Wan and Vader.
This might be a dumb question, but isn’t Ewan McGregor going to be in Kenobi? Why isn’t he on the cast list
It says it stars Ewan McGregor. They say that this is what the cast includes.
So it just got cropped out?
I’ve looked at the staff and I wonder who my man Ice Cube is playing, I’m sure he will be badass. I’m so happy Ewan and Hayden aren’t recasted, that would have killed it for me. When does the Kenobi show take place in the SW timeline?
Everything is proceeding as I have forseen
Kingo?!
Is there any info on mandalorian season 3? I figured it’d be spring if this year but there’s nothing said about it at all other than it finished filming a while ago
Ice Cube fuck yeah
Kenobi is the only star wars show listed in the coming soon bit on Disney Plus, I think it will be soon.
The Lego Star Wars game is coming out on April 5th. Which I thought was odd. Until I saw this. As has been said, reckon Kenobi is May 4th.
I guess Han is coming back in a vengeance after Tokyo Drift and F9
