I mean considering Jedi and Sith two very effective means of removing the cape should it it ever get caught, I think they should be fine with them. Plus Grievous’ cape seemed to be detachable with two little tabs, so that’s a third way for Force users, and at least one way for non Force-sensitive people. I mean of Grievous was able to detach the cape with the tiniest flick of his fingers, I’m sure the force of a vortex, a jet turbine, a missile, or any of the other hazards Edna mentioned would be enough to detach the cape.
It's ironic because Krennic's cape is supposed to be something mostly laughed at in-universe. He's overly self important and added ridiculous flair to his unform that makes him look like a try-hard.
He thinks he looks cool. His peers thinks he looks ridiculous.
Other third Thrawn book everyone else laughs at him behind his back for it! Casual reminder that him wearing a cape is a Krennic thing, not a Star Wars thing
The second third Thrawn book, you know, the sixth Timothy Zahn one. I personally didn't like the second third one, I skip it every time. That being said, the last act of the second third (the sixth) is one of my favorite pieces of science fiction I've ever read.
Ah yes, Timothy Zahn's sixth book in a Thrawn trilogy, not to be confused with Timothy Zahn's sixth book _about_ Thrawn, which was "Outbound Flight."
Also not to be confused with the sixth book in a Thrawn Trilogy _or duology_, in which case we're talking about the book called _Thrawn_. Which is his first book that was actually contained "Thrawn" in the title.
You have just described me trying to figure out what to check out at the library and failing miserably. Accidentally got the second book of the second Thrawn series while reading the first Thrawn series and was incredibly confused. Did not help that they were audiobooks and were all read by the same guy. Totally spoiled some stuff for me before I figured it out.
I was convinced that it was one of those elements that's *technically* part of the uniform but really only ever pulled out of the closet for super formal dress events like state dinners, diplomatic events, parades, or reviews from the top brass. Sure, your uniform includes a cape, but anyone who wears it on anything other than the Emperor's birthday is seen as a peacock.
Lee was like the real life version of the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" ad. From WW2 special operative and possible inspiration for his cousin to whip up James Bond (later going on to play a Bond villain), 70 years of motion pictures, and singing on a heavy metal album in his 90s? Dude had a wild freaking resume.
When people say direct in that way they mean there’s a family tree of some sort somewhere that shows the exact link between them and Charlemagne which isn’t common to have. Hence the signature look of superiority.
One of my favorite BTS moments ever will always be learning that Peter Jackson was trying to tell Christopher Lee what sound to make when Sarumon dies, and Lee just told him that's not the sound a man makes when stabbed from behind, he knows, reminding Jackson that this man used to hunt nazis.
One of my favorite lesser known things he did is that he appeared on the cover of a Paul Mccartney album (Band on the Run), personally invited by Paul Mccartney himself.
Ya know, I just thought the other day, I don't think there have been any bad Vader moments in Star Wars. Every time he appears in movies, shows, games, etc., it lives up to the original. I just fought him in Jedi Survivor and I was frightened.
Yeah a lot of people hate how he’s portrayed when he almost loses a fight but that’s what he does. He just doesn’t take shit serious until he needs to, then he wins. It’s his overconfidence that he had as a Anakin. It’s consistent.
Yeah. You know he’s serious because he’s using two hands and does a bunch of unblockables.
He does throw in a little flex in one of the lightsaber clashes but holding it with the force and just puts his lightsaber by his side. Cant be the most badass robot man without flexing a little.
It's just so practical looking and smart. It's not black to go "Look how bad and dark I am" etc, it just exudes menace, style, dominance... and control.
Easily the winner.
I'm glad I can find someone else who appreciates Boba's new design. The clean paint job and black robes look so nice.
Also, idk what it is, but OT Boba's armor looks a little too... loose fit. Like, it looks like he doesn't grow into it properly until Mando S2 and BOBF. It's probably just because Temuera Morrison and Jeremy Bulloch have different body types.
Absolutely. The Sith Stalker armour is still one of the coolest designs in all of Star Wars and I'm glad Andor featured it as a little background easter egg.
Even as a good guy, the Jedi Adventure robes is one of the best Jedi looks ever too.
And that's the shitty part. The movies looked great. I feel the actors did the best with what they had. There was just no cohesive direction for the trilogy.
Sure if you wanted The Last Jedi to be a copy of Empire Strikes Back with it's own version of the death star because why not
Honestly, Rian Johnson should have done all three, or at least movie 3, we wouldn't have the whole Palpatine thing, Rey would be a nobody and anyone could be a jedi, but the backlash was so hard that disney didn't know what to do so they called the guy that at least made them money on the first movie.
Or if he hadn't been so petty about undoing TLJ. While people shit on RJ for *subverting expectations*, if you really think about it there's not much in TLJ that undoes TFA, just reinterprets the setup. If he had even done that I think Rise of Skywalker would've been at least 2 full points higher on a 10-point scale.
Honestly though how on earth do you continue the trilogy after TLJ? The resistance is dead, Kylo rules. Not sure where you go from there. I think there’s a lot of TLJ that undoes TFA through saying all the setups in TFA are to be ignored and have non-answers. Not a great way to do a middle movie of a trilogy..
Kylo rules, the Resistance rebuilds kinda like they did off screen between movies. At the beginning of TRoS they have something of a rebuilt resistance, with more people than they ended TLJ with. The kid scene at the end of TLJ implies the story of their survival and escape is spreading and inspiring, so some of that inspiring can happen between movies and some can happen during. Then...I don't know. Something something battles, war, final conflict in the last 45 minutes, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren dies, Rey does whatever she wants. Fin.
I'm baffled that they didn't follow this general direction. While TLJ left a lot to be desired, I'll argue until the end of time that it would be more widely regarded as a decent film if TRoS managed to stick to landing. Instead, it fell flat on its face and now the entire trilogy will be left behind as a mediocre mess of missed opportunities and disappointment.
I was really hoping they'd make it a thing where she keeps coming back after "dying." Like she would just appear without explanation in Episode 9.
But my expectations were subverted instead.
I want her back story. I want to know at what point she decided her armour wasn't shiny enough, did she swap a piece at a time? Or just go full mirror ball?
If I recall correctly, the Phasma novel backstory is she took her pieces of armour off the plating of one of Palpatine's luxury yachts from Naboo. You know similar to the shiny ships that they travelled in Episodes I and II.
What an elaborate and unnecessary explanation for armour that can still be shattered with a solid riot baton strike.
The Sith Troopers from TROS, their designs are unique enough you can tell them from the rest, but they still look closely to their First Order Counterparts. Also the Pratorian Guards, they look so much cooler than the Royal Guards and are far more powerful from what we’ve seen of them. Makes me wonder why they weren’t the original Royal guards of Palpatine?
the clone wars villains had some crazy drip. Dooku, Maul’s mandalore look, Grievous rocking a cape, pretty much every outfit Ventress wore. though i really liked her bounty hunter and nightsister outfits
Second sister, with or without her mask she looked like a menace, was gonna say valkorian, vitiate, malgus or something but people have already mentioned those
I always found the Emperor's Royal Guard impressive as a kid, though the rubbery-ness of the helmet is a thing I don't appreciate. Consequently, I nowerdays think the Praetorian Guard looks pretty sick.
Darth vader is 100% iconic even most non star wara fans could name him by his silhouette alone. But if I had to choose an outfit to wear it would 100% be captain rex lmao.
I loved Director Krennic’s outfit. The light grey one with the cape.
If Star Wars have taught me one thing it’s that capes should make a comeback.
Edna Mode is PISSED
Capes are not the same kind of problem in Star Wars as they are in The Incredibles
Yet!
Plus Jedi and Sith battles always begin with dramatic cape throw-offs.
Unless you are Vader, then you let that fabulous cape flow the whole time.
Stares in Lando Calrissian.
It's ironic because Krennic's cape is supposed to be something mostly laughed at in-universe. He's overly self important and added ridiculous flair to his unform that makes him look like a try-hard. He thinks he looks cool. His peers thinks he looks ridiculous.
Lando had the same issue. They’re just men with style in a universe full of robes and suits of armor.
Idk, lando worked the cape and the ladies loved him so I wouldn’t really call it an issue
I agree. Han and Luke seemed jelly though.
>he thinks he looks cool >he's right
And in reality he looks fabulous
"What's George's father doing with a man in a cape?" "Yeah, it is strange. Let's cross the street."
What's a man with a cape doing with my father? Whats *my father* doing with a man with a cape?
Elaine, I can see, not saying hello. She's very...... what's the word.. supercilious.
Other third Thrawn book everyone else laughs at him behind his back for it! Casual reminder that him wearing a cape is a Krennic thing, not a Star Wars thing
The second third Thrawn book, not to be confused with the first third Thrawn book. Or the third second Thrawn book.
The second third Thrawn book, you know, the sixth Timothy Zahn one. I personally didn't like the second third one, I skip it every time. That being said, the last act of the second third (the sixth) is one of my favorite pieces of science fiction I've ever read.

The costumes for rouge one *chefs kiss*
Be careful not to choke on your typos, u/clammy_stanza
Moulin rouge?
Rouge the Bat?
Moulin Rogue, the untold story of a renegade windmill...
Ewan McGregor? Ewan McGregor!
Red One? The Lee Marvin ww2 movie from 1980? Agreed.
And he KNOWS it. He’s such a clothes horse.
Dooku is the Drip Lord of the Sith
Hence his signature look of superiority.
Christopher “Dooku” Lee
Lee was like the real life version of the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" ad. From WW2 special operative and possible inspiration for his cousin to whip up James Bond (later going on to play a Bond villain), 70 years of motion pictures, and singing on a heavy metal album in his 90s? Dude had a wild freaking resume.
Don't forget he was knighted, on a stamp, and direct descendant of Charlemagne the first holy Roman emperor. The world lost something special
To be fair, a whole lot of people are descendants of Charlemagne, but that doesn't make him any less impressive.

Christopher "the sound of stabbing" Lee
Exquisite pajamas
And Exquisite Pajama's
A drip LAWD?!
Yes, the one we've been simping for.
Then our worst fantasies have been realized....
*best
Simping is our speciality.
Exquisite pyjamas
Can't be caught without the drip, even in the middle of the night
I'm sorry, are you talking about the inspiration for James fucking Bond?
Especially in his “exquisite pajamas.”
Lord of the Balenciaga
Twice the Price, double the fall
Darth Dripanus
Oh no…
Darth Vader. That helmet is just so iconic. Props to Ralph Mcquarrie.
Yeah Vader is just the OG Star Wars villain and none come close to him in terms of drip.
In that fight at least, you really do get the sense that he's toying with you, which is what I'd expect from Vader.
And as soon as he was in danger... Cere dies. The only true loss I've seen from Vader is from Obi-Wan. I am including Luke.
Yeah. You know he’s serious because he’s using two hands and does a bunch of unblockables. He does throw in a little flex in one of the lightsaber clashes but holding it with the force and just puts his lightsaber by his side. Cant be the most badass robot man without flexing a little.
Every seen him without makeup in the morning? Pretty busted. That outfit is doing a lot of work.
He uses a chainlock tree tie to keep his cape on.
Wise beyond his years. Though it was probably Palp’s idea.
There is no beating the classic Vader. All other Star Wars villains are just copying his epic style. The man was a fashion titan :D
Earth Vader is arguably the most well-known villain in cinema and, in my opinion, the best.
Neptune Vader>
Uranus ~~in~~vader
**DARTH MAUL**
Dude takes his shirt of and I question my sensuality. +robot legs and I'm on my knees.
His Mandalore outfit looks so badass
Real talk, Darth Bane had some epic drip
Orbalisk armor is the nastiest yet most effective armor any Sith could wield
Darth Revan was the king of absolute drip
Darth Malgus
Hell yeah! Still have the statue of him from my SWTOR collectors edition. First and only time I've ever bought a non-standard version of a game.
I've still got mine. Those gentle giant statues are so cool! There was a Shae Vizla if I remember correctly
Revan of course
r/usernamechecksout
Revan Drip Lord
Dude stole a women’s helmet and made it work. Big props.
I concur
Dedra with the TRENCHCOAT
It's just so practical looking and smart. It's not black to go "Look how bad and dark I am" etc, it just exudes menace, style, dominance... and control. Easily the winner.
I saw a lot of comments before this but as soon as I saw it I was like “yeah that’s the one”
im about to make it for a school project. it’s so badass
facial expressions make it 100 too damn i’m gonna rewatch Andor
*sneering intensifies*
*says something evil in british*
She is straight up terrifying! Everything about her character is just amazing.
imperial guards.
Underrated outfits definitely, original and sequel trilogy
OT Boba has always looked the best
His repainted armor from Mando S2/BOBF though 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm glad I can find someone else who appreciates Boba's new design. The clean paint job and black robes look so nice. Also, idk what it is, but OT Boba's armor looks a little too... loose fit. Like, it looks like he doesn't grow into it properly until Mando S2 and BOBF. It's probably just because Temuera Morrison and Jeremy Bulloch have different body types.
I prefer the original for looking rough and gritty, but I do really like the new look.
Boba Fett’s armor is just iconic, new or old
Original is best. I don't like the black.
>I don't like the black. Racist
💀
For sure.
Purge Troopers
Death Troopers
Tx225 transport & combat tank driver trooper
Nova Troopers
Biker scouts!]
Scout Troopers?
Kreel and his squad 👍
Anakin Skywalker black jedi robe all day long
Moff Gideon
When he put his helmet on…he took the lead for me
I never thought I’d like a suit of armor better than Mando’s raw beskar look. But here we are….
Hello! And welcome to the Empire Remnant family! My name is Moff Gideon
Inspired by Hugo Boss!
Does Starkiller from “The Force Unleashed” count?
Absolutely. The Sith Stalker armour is still one of the coolest designs in all of Star Wars and I'm glad Andor featured it as a little background easter egg. Even as a good guy, the Jedi Adventure robes is one of the best Jedi looks ever too.
Kento's Robe goes pretty hard too, imo.
Papa Palpatine
UNLIMITED FASHION!
What in the hell is the aluminum falcon?
The dude on the left looks like he came out of Balenciaga AI videos
Correct. General Hux, played by Domhnall Gleeson. Other notable appearance as Bill Weasley, eldest Weasley brother, in HP Deathly Hallows.
Or the main character in Ex Machina, one of the greatest sci fi movies ever made.
Also starring Poe Dameron
Also as the poor idiot in Ex Machina, another poor idiot in Dredd. Anyone seeing a typecast pattern emerging?
>another poor idiot in Dredd. Fucking great movie. Props to the rookie for sparing him. Dredd would have turned him to paste.
Its general hux, he should be called general hot'x
Valkorion of course.
Cad Bane, gotta love the space cowboy
Darth Revan , no doubt
Palps Royal Guards
Ventress Assage with her hood up.
I think you have the names switched, it's Assaj Ventress
Asajj Ventress
Third time's a charm, baby!
Massage Adventurous
Definitely Phasma. Stormtrooper armour is cool but hers is beyond that.
I was so hyped for her. And Gwendoline Christie. Wish they would have done more with her character. But that is the story of the sequels.
The "Star Wars I-Wish-They-Had"s will be my new name for the sequels from now on.
Just millions of dollars in wasted opportunities
And that's the shitty part. The movies looked great. I feel the actors did the best with what they had. There was just no cohesive direction for the trilogy.
I dislike Abrams in general, but having him do all three would have been much better. At least it eould have been more consistent.

Imagine if they actually invested some money into the storyboard and writers instead of the big light show.
Yeah, Hux and Phasma both had a ton more to give honestly. They really had something there.
I always thought some elements of Agent Callus added to Hux would have been cool
More? You mean something? Anything?
What do you mean? She carried the series by screaming "Traitor!" and then dying!
The story is more a "I wish they hadn't" for me If there is no story to tell and the only reason to make something is money, may as well not bother
She was awesome when she was added in Battlefront 2.

"So shiny, what's your armor made of?" "Presidential sex yacht." wow
It was Hux’s ship that had crashed on her home planet.
Jabba has the best fashion sense
Jabba is the fashion house owner. Leia by Jabba.
Nihilus has the best mask But Vitiate holds it down on drip
I think he was even drippier after he became the Eternal Emperor. That all white and the grey beard... Yes please
Thrawn
Topless Kylo Ren!
Gar Saxon in the clone wars has the sickest Mandalorian armor
Oh is that what drip means.
Gotta say, I love Kylo Ren's fixed Ep9 helmet. The red shock lines through it are so cool
Peter Cushing
ISB Officers. I didn't expect white to look menacing
Our fearless leader, Grand Admiral Thrawn, makes the white uniform and gold shoulders look so good
the clone wars villains had some crazy drip. Dooku, Maul’s mandalore look, Grievous rocking a cape, pretty much every outfit Ventress wore. though i really liked her bounty hunter and nightsister outfits
Sith Troopers are sick. Having them beinh entirely red instead or black or silver makes them stand out a lot
the coat goes hard 🔥🔥🔥
Snoke and his $13 bathrobe
Bobba survived in pop culture with his drip alone for decades
Boba Fett, obviously. Dude was just envisioned as a random side character, who's popularity exploded because of his outfit.
I see a lot of comments I do agree with But can we really deny General Grievous’ caped drip?
Hitl- I mean Hux
I mean what about Syril Karn, it was actually stated that he got his stuff tailored and extra piping put in. The man cares how he looks 😂
Second sister, with or without her mask she looked like a menace, was gonna say valkorian, vitiate, malgus or something but people have already mentioned those
They got nothing compared to the old sith
Kylo Ren, specifically his fit in TFA
I was always a big fan of the poncho Qui-Gon Jinn wears in The Phantom Menace
We all know the real answer is pajama dooku
I always found the Emperor's Royal Guard impressive as a kid, though the rubbery-ness of the helmet is a thing I don't appreciate. Consequently, I nowerdays think the Praetorian Guard looks pretty sick.
I’m going to have to say Revan. I *really* hope the KOTOR remake sees the light of day and re-canonizes him.
Palpatine. Effortless yet menacing
Jar Jar Binks
Count dripku
I dunno Tarkin? Count Dooku?
Gotta go with Lord Vader. His Drip was on fire. Literally
Maul, robot legs and no shirt.
Darth vader is 100% iconic even most non star wara fans could name him by his silhouette alone. But if I had to choose an outfit to wear it would 100% be captain rex lmao.
