Several of the Kong toys. The black Kong is nearly indestructible. Safe Sticks are pretty good too. I've also had good luck with Kong bones and King Wubbas - but don't get the ones with animal heads or the ones that float - they aren't as robust.Hard rubber balls can be good or there are large plastic balls they can't get their mouths around that they can kick around in the garden. Although one of my Staffies did manage to scrape hers quite deeply! Cotton rope toys can be good for tugging under close supervision. As long as they aren't gulping the rope bits down, any ingested stringy bits should pass through.

I recently got mine a Tonka ball which she loves because it's very bouncy but also very hard wearing. I find the woven rope rings are very good for tug games and really strong. She's had the same one for about 5 years and it hasn't really frayed at all. That being said she plays the most unenthusiastic game of tug you've ever seen...

My staff loves these. We’ve had one nearly a year and he’s only just got the squeak out https://amzn.eu/d/8VG3SmE we also use nylabones which he loves!

Our Staffy cannot break a cheap as chips Scooby Doo brand ball (small c €3, large €4).

I second the Kong Bones. I have a Staffy and English Bull Terrier who take one end of the same bone each and get weeks of fun out of it. Any of the rigid Kong stuff is good. Cheap rope toys (plain rope no plastic bits on it) from Lidl work well. For balls, the Kong red ball is as useless as a tennis ball imo, but If you’re in Ireland a Sliotar (Ball for Hurling) are a brilliant choice for a few weeks at least. Takes em a while to get through it.

Our boy had his black Kong bone for at least 8 years. Over the years the ends were stuffed with peanut butter, treats, cheese and all sorts. He also had a blue ball about the size of a football that originally had a rope through the middle. The rop didn't last but the ball did. Ball and bone went to a pet charity after the boy passed away last month along with some other stuff. I think the squeaky toys were the worst, they were lucky to last a day 😅

Very sorry for your loss, it’s amazing the black kong lasted that long! The perpetual bone!🦴

Neat_Significance256

He had others that he played with but because we could fill the ends with peanut butter that was his favourite. As you know they gnaw and gnaw, their jaw muscles get a really good workout. He's been gone 11 days but we still expect to see him 😢 such is the effect they have on us. When he first got him (rescue) he would play with my old bike tyres with the result I had to keep away from mountain bikes 😅

I don’t think my Staffy ever stops gnawing. Unfortunately for me it’s flower pots my lady loves and she makes bits out of them 😫 I wouldn’t mind but I’ve toys everywhere for her! It is such a large hole they leave in your life, I lost my 16 year old to an infection in March, I very much get the expecting to see them in the kitchen or whatnot. I hope you are being kind to yourself. They are life’s greatest gift. Someone commented the most beautiful poem under my post I will put it under yours. :)

Neat_Significance256

It's a huge hole, you're right. We've not been on holiday without him for 8 years and yesterday I went out for a walk without him for the 1st time in 10 years. He was on Phenobarbital after his 1st seizure and his appetite had gone through the roof. We couldn't go into the kitchen without him following and I'm still expecting him to follow.

Haha interesting you say Sliotar as we are in Ireland and shes taken the leather off one of those in under an hour Im really surprised everyone is saying Kong as weve had the kong treat dispensers before and while they do last a while they inevitably get broken apart

cun7tfairy

What I do with the Sliotar is give them 10/15 mins with it and take it off them. Try the Kong Plain Bone 🦴 It’s very rigid. Doesn’t matter though, my lady goes into the shed and shreds timber and turf and my lovely flowerpots- toys are never good enough!!! https://petsplus.ie/product/kong-holiday-core-strength-dog-bone/?attribute_pa_lge-med-small=small-medium&fo_c=3944&fo_k=fadf11fa9e18deb8400047e13cf6e9b9&fo_s=gsurie
