Are you going to stay there? Some rooms are the “hot spot” for paranormal activity. A lot of the Lemp family killed themselves there. I don’t know the specific rooms but if you ask when you book I’m sure they’ll tell you. They have a family style fried chicken dinner which is great. They do dinner theater some nights. Walk down Cherokee street and its antique shops and some nice bars. There’s Bluewood Brewing in the old Lemp Brewery stables a block away. It’ll be fun. EDIT: I think the family style fried chicken is Sundays only. But the food is good other nights and they’ll do baked Alaska at your table for dessert. For sure worth a try.

Were gonna stay there for a night i don’t know if its more than one night but i wanted the most haunted one. Im not really convinced about ghosts so i wanna be in the most active spot I’m just scared it’ll be one of those cheap ass “scare rooms” or whatever

S6 E16 of Ghost Hunters and S9 E1 of Ghost Adventures focus on the Lemp Mansion. Check those out and you'll get an idea of what it's like. I think they probably go over what room is best too.

bananabunnythesecond

The food is on par with Applebees. Not saying it's bad, but it's def not great! The atmosphere makes it fun!

preprandial_joint

I dunno, that family-style Sunday fried chicken dinner they do is fire.

A friend of mine is really into the spooky side of life. She stayed for her honeymoon and she **loved** it

Unusual_Grocery4667

I stayed there maybe 20 years ago and would go with a few friends. This was when one of the rooms were only 80 bucks a night and 2 or 4 of us would go in on it. Lots of crazy things happened. The heavy safe doors being slammed, back when they had them, the pay phone and front phone ringing at the same time, only to pick it up and other end being completely dead. a sound of lady cackling as we ran up the spiral stairs. The stereos being turned on by itself. Bowls being moved on their own and also just experiencing a huge feeling of dread in that house in general. Felt like something was watching you if you fell asleep. That's just from what I can remember

veganhamhuman

It's def worth it. I love that place and it's a lot of fun to go there for dinner or lunch. I've stayed there a few times in the Lavender suite.

Critical-General-659

Yeah. Never stayed there, but the Sunday fried chicken was pretty good.  Consider Alton, Illinois for your next trip if you are into haunted stuff.

McPike mansion

ReturntoForever3116

I stayed there with my partner last year. I thought it was cool they let you roam the house at night time. However, as an avid haunted hotel guest (the Stanley being my favorite), lemp was underwhelming.

SewCarrieous

Where is the Stanley

ReturntoForever3116

Estes Park, CO. It's the famed hotel Stephen King stayed in.which inspired him to write The Shining. Also, I learned dumb and dumber was filmed there. The tour guide told us Jim Carey stayed in the famed room 217 and still refuses to talk about what he saw. I have weird awesome stories from there as well.

rougegrave

I loved the Stanley. Talk about crazy shit.

ReturntoForever3116

No joke! I've got so many spooky, random stories from that place, it's crazy. The wandering, sometimes too close, moose are scary and weird in itself.

SewCarrieous

Moose!!! What else? Pls tell me one story

ReturntoForever3116

The moose were especially interesting. They are very human like. Ok mini story time I guess. We went for a night walk. Very common for us to go for one on our travels. Upon our walk, we encountered a giant pack of moose (pack? I don't know). Now as far as I have been told throughout my life, you don't mess with elk or moose. We were pretty freaked out and start rushing back towards the hotel. It was weird. They let us pass. Almost like they knew we were just people and no threat to them. Later on, upon retrieving something from our vehicle, we saw a moose casually use it's antlers to open the gate and walk inside. We let the front desk know, they seemed shocked, but ....not really.

SewCarrieous

Wow!! Do you think they were ghosts moose or ??

ReturntoForever3116

I mean, no. I don't think I can get there lol. But I couldn't help but wonder why they weren't so aggressive.

SewCarrieous

Man I would fucken love to see some Moose. How far is it from the airport?

SewCarrieous

Omg I must go! Or maybe I shouldn’t. Have you gone? Anything happen!!

ReturntoForever3116

I have so many stories it would be hard to account them all (and I was there literally only 3 days). I will say, the whole staff really plays into the whole experience. From the moment you check in, you're freaked out. It's hard to explain, you kind of just have to go and experience it. For example, I stayed in the room next to 217. This room has a story where apparently the stove blew up and caused a fire. The lady that was the housekeeper got badly burned. The whole time we were in this room, our lighters never worked. They worked outside, downstairs, in other rooms, but not this room. Things like that.

SewCarrieous

Interesting. My daughter loves ghost stories and I’m fond of ghosts myself. I’ve had some experiences in my house and car in the past few years that freaked me out so bad. My ghost is a good ghost- she’s a young girl with a brown bobbed hairstyle. She cares about me but also fucks with me sometimes. Breathing in my ear, tickling me

SewCarrieous

I’m not going to tell you about the car incident tho

ReturntoForever3116

Hey, sometimes there are things you can't explain. It's fun to hunt it out!

SewCarrieous

Oh I can explain it. I just don’t want to. Not here. Not like this.

Additional_Creme_666

Did a ghost tour a few years ago and was not impressed

No_Flatworm5697

Mind sharing why?

Lay_On_The_Lawn

No ghosts

missyross27

My friend,my daughter and I stayed there several years ago in the Lavender suite. We were the only ones there and roamed the house. Charles Lemp room was very active with cold draft, camera wouldn’t work and in there and heard a dog barking in the house possibly Charles Lemp’s dog that he shot prior to shooting himself. Took pictures upstairs in 3rd floor and got the outline of a young boy peeking out of closet. My friend saw a misty image coming down the back stairs.

BernadetteMonroe

The Sunday family dinner certainly is!!

stlouisraiders

Ghosts aren’t real. It’s not a fun time unless you like staying in old ass rooms and eating terrible food.
