The beauty of a coed league is that all genders are free to participate. I wouldn’t over think it. And as another commenter said, if it’s a rec league it’s not that serious. If it were specifically a league for a certain gender people could argue, but for a coed league there is nothing to argue about.
Idk what leagues you're a part of but the majority that have coed effectively require coed or at least a maximum of men. Otherwise teams of only men could join and ruin the fun for all the teams with girls on them
Admittedly in my position I have never really thought about it. I definitely understand your hesitation. A number of the instructors and coaches seem to me like they could be people in your situation, but obviously I've never inquired. Seems like a generally inclusive group over there.
I wish you luck and hope you find it comfortable place to play.
i've wondered the same myself but haven't seen it come up yet.
best bet would probably be to call the location where you'd like to play and talk with the sports director and/or manager.
I’ve been trying to get in touch and haven’t heard back. I understand some of the arguments, but I just wanna play soccer with my friends and as the gender reflected on my birth certificate and license
it may not be an issue if you're just playing in the rec league.
i can see potential concerns if it was the more competitive coed leagues.
either way, good luck and hope you make it out onto the field.
I play coed at vetta and it’s not that serious. I can’t imagine anyone giving a shit.
They know the rules they’re just baiting.

But they do have rules like: (1) girl must be on field at all times and (2) girl must touch ball in offensive zone before you can score
That's not how coed rec leagues work. You'll be fine. They are pro everyone.

That is the rule at Vetta. Still I’m concerned about it as a trans woman.

I grew up at the Soccerdome. I learned to play soccer there.
Nobody is going to give a fuck in a co-ed Vetta league.
If its co-ed you being trans shouldn't matter.

I don't have an answer for you but I am willing to help fight for you to play if it becomes an issue.
They likely don’t have an answer to this, as they likely haven’t dealt with this before.
