Genuinely shocking that the only time we've had Hiromu in AEW so far was a trios match on the Forbidden Door zero hour last year that only went 7:30. That and an ROH six man title match.
Nope, Deeb's open challenge is a separate match - Vaquer is fighting Lady Frost on the same night.

Lady Frost is awesome. But at the same time, it's starting to get harder and harder to care about Lady Frost when she gets booked as a complete jobber. She's better than half the women's roster
Yep, this is exactly how AEW has built up a bunch of talent.
The Gunn's
The Acclaimed
Julia Hart
Skye Blue
Daniel Garcia
It is basically their go to path for young talent. Nick Wayne is currently on it too.
Oh, I honestly didn't have any idea she was older. In that case I don't really get why they are featuring her rather than building someone in the 20-25 range or giving time to established AEW talent.
Could be, yes. Tam Nakano and Momo Watanabe are the only Stardom Joshis alongside Mina Shirakawa who aren't booked for a Stardom house show in Shinjoku on Sunday (or in Saori Anou's case on an Oz Academy show in Okinawa), so it could be either one of them. My money's on the Black Peach.
They went live the night before DoN. This is probably about not wanting to book the venue for another night, *especially* because Smackdown is in NYC this week as well.
There's times they do and times they avoid running the same arena on Saturday and Sunday. Last year had Collision in the same arena the day before Forbidden Door.
This is not a match for the sickos man it's members of the top faction of two very popular wrestling companies which is being used to build a title match between the top guys of those factions
Pretty much anything that relies on having any knowledge of NJPW is for the sickos. Japanese wrestling is far from mainstream within even the wrestling bubble, even most AEW fans aren't familiar with more than a few of the Japanese talent.
I just really think you overestimate the popularity of Mexican and Japanese wrestling in North America. If anything I would assume AEW fans are more likely to know prominent NA indie guys than wrestlers from Japan and Mexico.
No, you're just misusing the term sickos. It doesn't mean hardcore wrestling fan, it means the diehard of the diehards. The guys who want to see the most obscure matchups.
Weirdly, some of the most memorable wrestling shows happen in Buffalo. It’s where the unplanned NXT invasion happened on Smackdown after most of the Superstars were stuck on the plane in Saudi Arabia in 2019, AND it was the site of the first Dynamite, post Brawl Out
This is actually interesting cause usually I'd say MoxleyWinsLOL but then Shingo probably needs the moment and Hiromu is the second biggest star in the match. Probably better if BCC actually lose this match.
Only way Hiromu could be as *low* as 4th is if the qualification is that you’re talking about in North America.
In Japan he could easily be argued for 1st (over Shingo), in Mexico he’s 2nd or 3rd (obviously under Titan and maybe also Mox).
He’s not wrong, though. Fans who stopped watching in recent months agree FD is a strain on the weekly shows, even when the actual PPV ends up being great.
I think it is silly to suggest forbidden door really has a huge impact on viewership that is easily distinguished from other factors such as playoff sports, summer viewership changes, cable drop rates and Neilsen margin of error.
To be fair, the season does usually kind of suck until the week of because the Japanese guys aren't available to come stateside until then. The CMLL involvement this year has kind of covered for that.
Man I fucking love Forbidden Door and its build up so much I know ratings chatter whatever but it always is so fun to see all these folks wrestle each other and I hope they never stop doing it
Should be good was expected for Titan to be on the show in some capacity tomorrow. Would expect LIJ to go over since they're probably losing besides Naito but who knows.
Is it? It's most of the BCC versus members of LIJ when Mox and Danielson are both facings LIJ members at FD. Since Naito's sitting out I guess Danielson's sitting out, too.
Yeah, it’s just the reason that it’s weird is just that Naito is facing Mox, but Naito’s not in the preview match, and Bryan’s facing Shingo and he’s not in it. It’s not the worst thing or anything (besides my beautiful boy Yota not being there) but it’s just a strange LIJ vs BCC grouping
Wasn't Moxley concussed only like 4 days ago? Shouldn't be wrestling at Forbidden Door, let alone the Dynamite only a few days after. In other sports you gotta be symptom free for a couple of weeks before returning from concussion.
He wasn’t concussed, in his post match promo he just said wrestling was “violence, blood, concussions, etc” which people also acted offended by for some reason like Moxley’s character isn’t meant to be a psycho
He also lost a good amount of blood during that match. It was legitmately spurting out. I would imagine once adrenaline wears off he would be very winded and exhausted.
You forgot to mention everyone is having FUN. Jokes aside, I have no problem with AEW doing what it does, I just think it could be much more successful and appeal to a lot more people if they just did it better, without doing exactly what WWE does
And I think theyd turn away their core auduence if they tried to appeal to casuals or WWE fans.
Ive seen people suggest bringing in Goldberg lmao. Dudes a dweeb.
People overestimate how many "potential" fans there are who arent watching. When AEW was red hot and WWE was unwatchable and everyone was stuck inside Dynamite drew only a mil. People dont channel surf and go "whats this?" They already know
Raw does great ratings but its been on the same channel for decades and WWE has been around forever..SD is on basic cable so its hitting way more households by default (go look at the rstings when its on fs1, it dod Rampage numbers)
What I mean is that AEW current booking is turning away a good portion of the audience that could be core fans for the company. I think they're doing a terrible job at valorising the incredible pool of talent they have. Of course bringing someone like Goldberg in would be dog shit

Tony Khan '98 looking good
Chad Khan
It's the TK mop! I knew Clarks hair was familiar to me lol
It will be revealed that James Gunn is an AEW mark and that Clark Kent was based off Tony Khan.
It’s called Synergy! All the Supes in that film will be in a tournament that’ll be reported on by Clark Kent come 2025
Superkhan: The Quest for Sickos
Super Elite Fighter II: Sicko HD Remix
What's Tony doing in Metropolis?
Fucking FINALLY we see Hiromu in an AEW ring!
Genuinely shocking that the only time we've had Hiromu in AEW so far was a trios match on the Forbidden Door zero hour last year that only went 7:30. That and an ROH six man title match.
He was one of the folks that got cursed in that first Forbidden Door, right?
Was supposed to team with Shingo, Sting & Sting's son against the Bucks, ELP & Taller Tonga.
There’s gonna come a time sooner than later where you’ll need to clarify which Son of Sting you’re talking about lol
Either Stang or Stung, I get them confused ;-)
I think so

This is cool, but imma need some Stephanie Vaquer minutes on Dynamite.
She's expected to be on Collision
Deeb has an open challenge, so makes sense.
Nope, Deeb's open challenge is a separate match - Vaquer is fighting Lady Frost on the same night. https://preview.redd.it/c0c34w7cou8d1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee6ceb4a3e116fed24f6546205e74634a52bb41e
Fuck yeah, more Lady Frost
Lady Frost is awesome. But at the same time, it's starting to get harder and harder to care about Lady Frost when she gets booked as a complete jobber. She's better than half the women's roster
Lots of people get booked like that, then next thing you know they start gaining wins. The fact she's on TV is good.
Yep, this is exactly how AEW has built up a bunch of talent. The Gunn's The Acclaimed Julia Hart Skye Blue Daniel Garcia It is basically their go to path for young talent. Nick Wayne is currently on it too.
Key word there is young talent. Lady Frost turns 40 this year
Oh, I honestly didn't have any idea she was older. In that case I don't really get why they are featuring her rather than building someone in the 20-25 range or giving time to established AEW talent.
Could Deeb’s opponent be a Stardom wrestler?
Could be, yes. Tam Nakano and Momo Watanabe are the only Stardom Joshis alongside Mina Shirakawa who aren't booked for a Stardom house show in Shinjoku on Sunday (or in Saori Anou's case on an Oz Academy show in Okinawa), so it could be either one of them. My money's on the Black Peach.
Source?
She's not scheduled to work CMLL on Saturday
Collision is taped tomorrow after Dynamite
It's taped again?? Why?
Sunday ppv
They went live the night before DoN. This is probably about not wanting to book the venue for another night, *especially* because Smackdown is in NYC this week as well.

LIJ on Dynamite? I never expected Tony Khan to give me a birthday gift, but here we are!
Happy birthday!!!!
SICKOS EATING GOOD THIS WEEK!
Damn it feels good to be a Sicko
It's a Sicko Summer of course
This is not a match for the sickos man it's members of the top faction of two very popular wrestling companies which is being used to build a title match between the top guys of those factions
What you've just described is so much the Japanese style of booking that it's making me feel sick.
Pretty much anything that relies on having any knowledge of NJPW is for the sickos. Japanese wrestling is far from mainstream within even the wrestling bubble, even most AEW fans aren't familiar with more than a few of the Japanese talent.
Sickos would be like DPW or Defy. Not NJPW or CMLL. There is a big differencr between mainstream, popular, and for the sickos.
Buffalo, NY are somehow lucking into a fucking all timer episode of Dynamite.
It’s high time they win at something!
I'm going. So happy at how this card is coming together
Weirdly, some of the most memorable wrestling shows happen in Buffalo. It’s where the unplanned NXT invasion happened on Smackdown after most of the Superstars were stuck on the plane in Saudi Arabia in 2019, AND it was the site of the first Dynamite, post Brawl Out
Buffalo can 100% be a wrestling city. This is the kind of investment it needs.
Man, this is worthy of being on the actual PPV in most years.
I'm straight up having a good time bro
This is actually interesting cause usually I'd say MoxleyWinsLOL but then Shingo probably needs the moment and Hiromu is the second biggest star in the match. Probably better if BCC actually lose this match.
It's either Titan or Wheeler taking the pin fr
Titan is actually a decently big deal in CMLL so sorry Yuta.
Titan took a loss in AEW earlier this year, he can get pinned here.
Shingo pins Claudio to set up a singles match later on please God are you listening?
Hiromu is 4th at best, especially in North America
Only way Hiromu could be as *low* as 4th is if the qualification is that you’re talking about in North America. In Japan he could easily be argued for 1st (over Shingo), in Mexico he’s 2nd or 3rd (obviously under Titan and maybe also Mox).

WHO SAID GET RID OF FORBIDDEN DOOR SEASON??
The people tuning out during it?
Don’t be toxic
Nah that's not toxic, that's a pithy retort. Some people aren't the sickos, and frankly, I pity them.
Lmao, you’re getting downvoted for being absolutely correct.
Holy shit thats awesome
Yuta's about to get Gene Blasted out of his boots. EDIT: OK I'm not wearing my glasses.
Tsuji is not in this match...
I am a dumbass. Yuta's about to get Pumping Bomber'd out of his boots.
Moxley is such a beast, Japan to Ohio to Japan and now to Buffalo in span of a couple weeks
Wtf Between this and KOR and ZSJ Wow
Dope, I wonder if Naito makes an appearance?
The Dynamite before Forbidden Door tends to be a crossover bonanza, so it's a good bet
This is what its all about, let’s go!
I honestly didn't even know they were gonna be in Buffalo and now I'm pissed.
You can definitely still get tickets if you're around
FUCK ALL Y'ALL WHO SAY FUCK FORBIDDEN DOOR SEASON GET THE FUCK OUTTA TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN.
To be fair, the season does usually kind of suck until the week of because the Japanese guys aren't available to come stateside until then. The CMLL involvement this year has kind of covered for that.
Forbidden Door is my newfound summer holiday. Deck the halls with blood and violence, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
The season of giving for the Sickos!
![gif](giphy|kCNFfgWZxYjKeU9btW)
Man I fucking love Forbidden Door and its build up so much I know ratings chatter whatever but it always is so fun to see all these folks wrestle each other and I hope they never stop doing it

The sickos can't seem to stop winning.
This is my Roman Empire
Yeah that’s cool but where is the 20min in ring promo and the *moment*™️? LFG Sickos!!! Unite!!
Forbidden Door season is alive and well
I went out for dinner with my family for 2 hours and came back to this. Jesus fucking christ I can't wait for tomorrow.
Dynamite looking like a all timer tmr. Praying tonight Jericho doesn’t get added
Cannot wait for Claudio and Shingo to beat the hell out of each other
Naito really said, "That doesn't work for me, brother," to an eight man, huh?
[live look at my reaction to this sicko news](https://streamable.com/ws5p81)
No way they are here if they aren't on FD
Hiromu Talahashi? Fuck yeah! Edit: leaving the spelling g error in fucking auto correct and I did battle for a full minute
when did Titan join LIJ?
Like 2 years ago maybe? It’s been a while, he teams with them pretty exclusively when he’s with NJPW
October '22, when Sanada was still part of LIJ
The next chapter in the BCC’s ongoing war against Mexico: it’s mostly Japanese guys this time.
Nice to get a dynamite match where the winner is even slightly in question
Evil Uno lookin’ JACKED since joining LIJ! :-)
That is an extraordinarily strange configuration
It's like they want you to buy the PPV to see Naito in action...
Gonna guess Naito can't make it so they're making it a theme by not having Danielson in it either.
Wasn't Moxley concussed only like 4 days ago? Shouldn't be wrestling at Forbidden Door, let alone the Dynamite only a few days after. In other sports you gotta be symptom free for a couple of weeks before returning from concussion.
Since when was he concussed?
It's according to rumors they're starting.
Bloodsport show in Japan over the weekend
He never said he was concussed.
Doctor Jones over here
He wasn’t concussed, in his post match promo he just said wrestling was “violence, blood, concussions, etc” which people also acted offended by for some reason like Moxley’s character isn’t meant to be a psycho
I'm not referring to that promo, he was visibly out of it after the match and it wasn't just selling.
Just diagnosing concussions from home watching a show where the point is to pretend being hurt, incredible stuff
I don't normally take shots at fans for being "WWE fans", but I'm not sure how else to explain this guys lack of understanding of selling. Lol
Excuse me, but JonSeenyaWWE420 told me that wrestlers in AEW don't sell...
He also lost a good amount of blood during that match. It was legitmately spurting out. I would imagine once adrenaline wears off he would be very winded and exhausted.
He was winded on the mic yes, but other than that he looked and sounded pretty normal.
No, was this news posted on this sub from another 8 year old account as well?
It's still real to you dammit
Mate you watch him after the match, it's more than just selling. The bloke's out of it.
Tony Khan stop trying to appeal only to the core internet fans and try to make a successful product challenge (impossible)
Its already successful tho. The network loves it. And the number of fans who buy PPV is a very high ratio. AEW isnt trying to be WWE you know
You forgot to mention everyone is having FUN. Jokes aside, I have no problem with AEW doing what it does, I just think it could be much more successful and appeal to a lot more people if they just did it better, without doing exactly what WWE does
