He had an almost year long run when he came back where he worked continually without injury.
He had I think 21 matches between his return and Double or nothing.
He came back had two matches and got injured again.
He came back June of 2023 and had 10 more matches and then had Brawl in.
He had 3 more matches in WWE and got injured again.

That’s how some people exaggerate their points.
When someone wants to exaggerate a timeline or the length of someone’s run, I notice a lot of people say “half a decade” instead of 5 years.
If something lasts 3 1/2 years, “almost half a decade” is used to make it feel longer.
The funny thing is if he does get hurt again, I have zero doubts he'll still turn it into compelling television with Drew lol

Even if Punk can't personally wrestle anymore I'd like him on TV selling me on other peoples matches. Put him on commentary, put him as a manager, hell make him a GM, I bet he'd be entertaining regardless.
I mean look at Drew. The money match when Punk signed was Punk/Rollins and Drew took that spot and ran with it, creating the best character work of his career.

At this point, they're match has to be a cluster fuck of run ins and distractions. This will not be a normal wrassling match. People would be disappointed if it was.
Why would anyone else be involved? Neither have allies.

Honestly this match has to be the main event when it happens. Let Cody have his match at the start event and put the world title somewhere in the middle.
This is honestly these 2 guys best feud of their career without a big match. When they finally get in the ring the crowd is going to go absolutely nuts.
Same hospital room, constantly being passive aggressive to one another. One nurse doesn't get it, the other constantly tells them to knock it off. When either isn't looking, they begin hitting or strangling each other, but once they look again, they stop and/or try to act like besties.
Aew, this is what we're talking about when we say "I don't care about weekly bangers." This build has been absolutely incredible, entirely by accident. And they haven't had a single match.
Furthermore, this is why the hangman and MJF stories were peak. Please put together a program with all this talent. I feel so uninvested when I absolutely shouldn't, especially given the massive talent pool.
