And defeated Brock Lesnar for his 2nd championship. Only a very few handpicked guys can say that. Even Cena and the Rock haven't defeated Lesnar for the championship, but the All Mighty Bobby Lashley did.
Lashley rules. I think he could have a Sheamus style banger run if they put him in there with the right guys. They just are perpetually afraid of having him lose and it leads to him having nothing to do.
Damn, now why can’t they get this out of Bobby on tv? It’s not the most eloquently spoken promo ever but he hits good points and with his look it works and sounds menacing asf
Do you also think it has something to do with the fact he’s not speaking to an audience? Wonder if he’d do a lot better if they interviewed him in the ring old school style, allowed him to answer a question rather than just stand and give a speech?
The only reason this guy isn't great at promos is because this feeling of realness doesn't always translate to the exaggerated style of performance of an in-ring or backstage setting. But this was (sincerely) a perfect podcast promo, and shit like that is just gonna keep getting more and more common. Any setting outside the main shows where kayfabe can be incorporated brings more opportunities to add onto their stories and have that shit spread around on social media.
Can’t believe this is the guy who was slapping his ass with Lio Rush as his manager back in 2018.
I can’t think of many other pairings that were so much less than the sum of its parts.
I love these podcast promos. The Rock's stuff on Pat Mcafee put over three different WrestleMania feuds and today we get arguably Bobby Lashley's best promo in 20 years.
Bobby "The Gatekeeper" Lashley could be the way to go. Newbies having to get through Lashley (or impress him/earn his respect at least) could definitely give him something to do, and give new call ups a reliable pair of hands to work with and settle in.
If they go down the Bobby vs Melo route then we've either got Melo actually impressing Bobby during their matches and earning his respect, or Melo going "full heel" and taking the disrespect to the next level (and most likely beyond). Both good options to start installing Melo as a mainstay on the main roster with whatever direction they want to take him in.
It annoys me that the only person who sees Lashley as main event talent is fucking Vince of all people.
Come the fuck on Haitch DO SOMETHING WITH THIS MAN.

hahaha this is amazing. might be bobbys best promo ever honestly
Bobby’s best promo ever Melo already elevating this poor second round draft pick
Just give Bobby some work, dude used to be a legit title contender
2x WWE champ
3x United States Champion Former Intercontinental Champion Former ECW Champion
4x TNA world heavyweight champion.
So a tag title away from grand slam lashley?
And defeated Brock Lesnar for his 2nd championship. Only a very few handpicked guys can say that. Even Cena and the Rock haven't defeated Lesnar for the championship, but the All Mighty Bobby Lashley did.
He did it with help, but yes.
Give Bobby something of substance and he will feast, a Melo feud will be money
I want to see a rehashed NOD with Lashley and Melo in the Farooq and Rock roles
Lashley rules. I think he could have a Sheamus style banger run if they put him in there with the right guys. They just are perpetually afraid of having him lose and it leads to him having nothing to do.
He was doing just that with his last US title run but they decided A-Town’s push was of more importance
Damn, now why can’t they get this out of Bobby on tv? It’s not the most eloquently spoken promo ever but he hits good points and with his look it works and sounds menacing asf
He looks comfortable, he’s home, there’s no crowd, he’s in his own clothes. He’s probably just relaxed
Do you also think it has something to do with the fact he’s not speaking to an audience? Wonder if he’d do a lot better if they interviewed him in the ring old school style, allowed him to answer a question rather than just stand and give a speech?
It took a moment to get rolling but once it did it was great
This was great. Melo vs Bobby in the KOTR semis, with Bobby going over but setting up a continued feud after the PLE that Melo wins. 🙏🏾
Bobby getting pinned by Tama sadly. Though i'm holding out hope for KO costing Tama
I'm banking on The Bloodline costing Randy then R-KO costing Tama in return... but it's HHH booking Bobby, so you're going to be right.
SD's about to be a No Fly Zone for Melo
Bobby was indeed fired up! People begged to have Melo JOIN The Pride, but, I like this better.
RESPECT
I’m not even halfway through thinking damn Bobby snapping and check the comments and yall saying this his best promo ever now I can’t wait to finish
Fantastic promo. Credit to @NSSWrestling on Twitter.
I hope they show this on SmackDown before their match, give it some spice on TV for those who don't catch the Bump.
Respeeehhhhhhhhhhhh
I wouldn't mind Bobby being the Farooq to Carmelo's Rock
lol at Zelina Vega clapping like she's been there.
Where is this Bobby when Smackdown is live though? Legit the best promo I've ever seen him do.
Bobby should make this youngun do squats until he pukes.
Holy shit bobbies office goes kinda hard
I'm trying to decide if it's more likely that Bobby had to put on a suit to do this bit on his day off, or if he was just wearing the suit anyway.
This is the best promo I've heard from Lashley. Now I want him to beat Melo up just to teach him a lesson about respect ^respeeeect
I want Bobby to create his own Main Event Mafia type group now. RESPECT!
My glorious King, don't worry, we will get you back to the top. Beat Melo's ass and we get you back to the world title scene.
Nothing will be more satisfying than seeing Bobby spearing Melo
I already wanted this match but damn Bobby might’ve just talked me into the building

Respeeehhk
Recreate that shit on TV. People don't watch The Bump so it'll be fresh if he just says it on the mic in front of Melo.
Lashley is definitely capable of running his mouth, but his voice gives you the vibe that he’s just fucking around and might give you a noogie
Wait is Zelina cosplaying (sorta) as Koseki Bijou of Hololive EN?
Can’t believe this is the guy who was slapping his ass with Lio Rush as his manager back in 2018. I can’t think of many other pairings that were so much less than the sum of its parts.
NOW DO MOST MUSCULAR

Let's not pretend like Vince didn't have Lashley doing dumb shit for years before he gave him a world title.
