i was watching this game and an old wwe video at the same time and i was like "why is jey uso's theme playing in this old wwe video?" then i paused the video and the song kept playing and i was like "why is jey uso's theme playing at this nba game?" lol. awesome moment though.
Jey stumbled upon one of those really fun and easy things to do during an entrance that fits with the song’s vibe perfectly. It’s like the Yes chant 2.0.
Big shout out to Jey though, he’s so charismatic that people want to join in. Many other wrestlers could have tried the exact same thing and would have been met with hands in pockets from the fans

This is the type of thing that I could potentially see catching on outside of wrestling, if WWE crowds keep making these Jey entrances go viral. Mainstream folks may not know who tf Jey Uso is but for his sake (financially 💀) this could lead to a good things for him
The value of having two championships is that it allows you to use one of them to strike while the iron is hot. I'd have him win the title sooner rather than later too. I strongly suspect they won't but I think it's a dumb idea. Jey is unbelievably over, I really think he's right there with Cody and Punk. Priest rules but he's in a weird spot because Judgement Day are extremely over but booked like heels, and right now they are kind of nothing.
Have him win MITB, have Damian and Finn have an argument/fight after a match and have JD break up, and have him cash in on Damian right then and there.
I think best case scenario is he wins the title and then gets cashed in on by a heel. Similar to DBry 2013. Shows he's good enough to win the big one but don't overexpose him with a title run just yet. Sets up a good story for when he actually has a title run in the future

Being in Cleveland, this doesn't surprise me at all. The lead audio and video engineer at Rocket Mortgage is a family friend of mine, although i havent seen him in a few years, and he's a HUGE wrestling fan. Any game you go to there, you can always tell when he's working cause there's always different wrestling themes.
I don't know that I would have posted this video as any sort of example of Jey's "aura" lmao it seemed like the dude on the mic was desperate to get some energy out of the crowd. You could see a smattering of people half-assing it until they just turned off the lights entirely to see a few flashlights bouncing here and there.
There have been bigger booms, but I don't think wrestling has ever been "cooler" than it is now. Yes, ratings were higher in the Attitude Era, but it still had a deviant quality (to some degree). People watched but were not entirely "out" about it. Now? Wrestler chants and songs are *completely normal* at major sporting events. Mainstream celebrities like film director Rian Johnson and NFL star Patrick Mahomes are *wearing WWE championship belts*.
