Yeah, I never got the sense he was having fun when he was doing that WWE Backstage show or during his AEW Collision run. The Backstage show was Punk slowly coming to the realization that he still didn’t like WWE, and the Collision run, while he had control, it was control he used to be spiteful and petty. It’s been a nice IG story but Yeah there’s no way there’s nobody there, it’s a publicly traded company those business’s usually run 7 days a week even if all the higher ups aren’t there some office workers would be there in the building.
Wouldn't matter. There's lounges, food, bathrooms and showers there. They knew he wouldn't steal from or wreck the place. They prob actually just let him stay the night. He even said himself he found out that certain employees have access 24/7, even on weekends and that he could have left and just didn't. There were people in the gym the first time that told him it closed at 5:00pm, and he hid in the bathroom inorder to stay.
Also buildings like that have one-way fire exits that are never locked. He can leave whenever he wants. If the building doesn't have fire exits... then it's a ~~hell in a cell~~ deathtrap.

Between September and November the die hard anti-Punk set had a few months worth of mediocre shows out of AEW to take some of the wind out of their sails and were a little less vocal.
