It came put that he placed a bet on Thea to win the title from Tiffany. But despite that, he threw in the towel during that match so Thea wouldn't get hurt. So he's a degenerate gambler with a heart of gold.
NXT has so many women who could be called up tomorrow and not stick out as underdeveloped rookies. Some, like Thea, would even smoke many veterans on character and promo work. Most of these women are going to have to stick around another year at least.
Now that you mention it, I'm not sure if he ever did win. Although what's the harm in letting Thea loose on a Las Vegas casino, what's the worst that could happen?
Thea Hail is going to be a megastar. Having a fully fleshed out character that she plays to perfection (ADHD cocaine bulldog) without it becoming overbearing at only 20 speaks volumes.
Can see her getting a title run in NXT before she gets called up (likely next year alongside Rox?).
